The scent hit me first—rain and cedar, intoxicating and undeniable. My wolf stirred within me, suddenly alert and yearning. *Mate.* The word echoed through my consciousness as I turned toward the source. Parker Russell stood across the ballroom, his broad shoulders draped in a tailored black suit that emphasized his Alpha physique. Dark hair fell across his forehead in a way that made my fingers itch to touch it. When our eyes met, something electric passed between us. "You feel it too," I whispered, more to myself than anyone else. My wolf howled in triumph. *Finally, our mate.* I smoothed down the silver silk of my gown and made my way toward him, heart pounding against my ribs. He Rejected Me for a Weak Omega Luna Chapter 1

*Finally, our mate.*

I smoothed down the silver silk of my gown and made my way toward him, heart pounding against my ribs. The annual Moonstone Pack Mating Ball was the most important night of my life, and it was unfolding exactly as I'd dreamed.

"Alpha Russell," I said, extending my hand as I approached. "I'm Sloan Henderson."

His eyes widened slightly—he'd felt it too. The mate bond was undeniable, sacred. The Moon Goddess had chosen us for each other.

"I know who you are," he replied, his voice deeper than I expected.

Something in his tone made my smile falter. There was no warmth in his gaze, no hint of the connection that should have been blossoming between us.

"Parker," he said, then paused. His nostrils flared as he inhaled deeply, taking in my scent. "I need to make something clear."

The crowd around us seemed to sense the tension. Conversations quieted as wolves nearby turned to watch.

"I refuse to be shackled by the Moon Goddess's... mistake," he announced, loud enough for everyone to hear.

Mistake? The word cut through me like a blade.

"I won't be bound to someone I don't choose," he continued, stepping back from me as if my very presence contaminated him. "The sacred bond is nothing but an outdated tradition."

My wolf whimpered in confusion and pain. *Mate. Ours.*

"No," I whispered, reaching toward him instinctively.

Parker's face twisted in visible disgust. "Don't touch me."

The words fell like stones into still water, sending ripples of shock through the gathered crowd. Whispers erupted around us—horrified gasps from some, curious murmurs from others.

My father stepped forward from where he'd been watching, his face darkening with anger. "Parker Russell, you will—"

"Watch this," Parker interrupted, turning away from me.

He strode across the ballroom floor with purpose, his Alpha aura pulsing with each step. The crowd parted before him like water around stone.

Ariana Graham stood near the refreshment table, her delicate features arranged in a mask of innocence. She was beautiful in a fragile way—the kind that made wolves want to protect her.

But I knew better. I'd known Ariana since childhood. Behind those wide eyes and trembling lips lay a calculating mind.

"Parker," she breathed as he approached her. "What are you doing?"

The ballroom fell silent. Even the musicians stopped playing.

"What I should have done long ago," Parker replied, his voice carrying to every corner of the room.

Then, in a move that sent shockwaves through the assembly, Parker Russell—Alpha of the Silverclaw Pack—dropped to his knees before Ariana Graham.

An Omega.

A gasp rippled through the crowd. My grandfather's face went slack with shock.

"Ariana," Parker said, baring his neck to her in the ultimate gesture of submission from an Alpha. "Mark me as yours."

Ariana's eyes gleamed with triumph as she leaned forward, her teeth finding the sensitive spot where an Alpha's mark should never be placed—by anyone but their true mate.

"I claim you," she whispered, her voice carrying just enough for me to hear. "I claim your pack, your power, your soul."

Parker's voice rang out, formal and binding. "I pledge myself to you, Ariana Graham, my chosen Luna, my true mate."

The bond in my chest burned like acid. I clutched at it, feeling the mate bond stretching, tearing.

I had to get out of there.

I turned and pushed through the crowd, ignoring the stares and whispers. The ballroom doors seemed miles away as I stumbled forward, tears blurring my vision.

The hallway offered temporary relief from the suffocating atmosphere of the ballroom. I leaned against the cool marble wall, gulping air.

"Going somewhere?"

My grandfather's voice cut through my brief sanctuary. He stood at the end of the hallway, flanked by the Council of Elders.

"I'm leaving," I said, straightening my spine. "This alliance is clearly meant to be."

"No." My grandfather's tone left no room for argument. "You will not leave."

"The alliance with Silverclaw is too valuable," Elder Thompson added, his ancient eyes cold. "Parker Russell has made his choice, but that doesn't mean our packs cannot benefit from this union."

I stared at them in disbelief. "He rejected me in front of everyone!"

"And you will accept your position as his second mate," my grandfather said, stepping closer. "Or concubine, if that's what it takes to preserve this treaty."

The words hit me like physical blows. "You can't be serious."

"Deadly serious," he replied. "Go back in there, Sloan. Accept what Parker offers."

I looked past him to the ballroom doors, where I could still hear Parker's voice declaring his devotion to Ariana.

Or I could run.

But where would I go? And what would happen to Byron if I left?

After My Ex Called Me His Property, My Husband Struck Back Novel Cover

The champagne in my glass was vintage Dom Pérignon, crisp and biting against my tongue, but the air in the ballroom tasted stale. It was the specific staleness of old money and desperate ambition mixing under the heat of a thousand crystal chandeliers. The Starlight Charity Gala was in full swing, a sea of black tuxedos and designer gowns swirling through the cavernous hall of the Pierre Hotel. I stood near the periphery, away from the frenetic energy of the dance floor. My fingers idly traced the rim of the flute. I wasn't hiding, exactly. I was observing. Three years ago, crowds like this would have made my heart hammer against my ribs like a trapped bird. Now, I just felt a quiet, observant calm. I adjusted the silk of my gown—a deep midnight blue that Adrian had selected because he said it matched the quiet storm in my eyes.
Alpha Unveils True Mate Novel Cover

The Inter-Pack Summit's grand hall glowed with ceremonial torches, casting dramatic shadows across the faces of the most powerful Alphas in the region. I stood at the entrance, my silver aura radiating outward in controlled waves—not a display of emotion, but a calculated reminder of the Silvermoon Pack's strength under my leadership. Marcus positioned himself precisely one step behind me and to my right, his presence a silent comfort through our private mind-link. *They're all watching for weakness,* he observed, his thoughts flowing into mine with familiar ease. *Then they'll find none,* I replied, scanning the room with measured indifference. Alpha Kaelen Blackwood approached first, his dark eyes evaluating me with the same predatory calculation I recognized in myself. "Alpha Victoria," he greeted, inclining his head just slightly enough to acknowledge my status without suggesting submission. "Your champion has brought considerable attention to the Silvermoon territory." "As intended," I replied coolly, the subtle tap of my index finger against my thigh the only outward sign of my strategic assessment. Ryan Mitchell had indeed brought attention—attention I had meticulously orchestrated over five years of investment. The rogue I'd salvaged from starvation had been molded into a weapon that now represented Silvermoon dominance in combat.
