From Rejected Rogue to the Supreme Alpha's Queen

Three years after being rejected for having "no wolf," I returned to my old pack's territory. I wasn't the pathetic human girl anymore; I was the Luna of the Supreme Alpha. But to test them, I wore plain grey clothes and blocked my scent. My ex-mate, August, took the bait instantly. He cornered me at the Alpha Summit, mocking my appearance. "We need a nanny to wash diapers," he sneered in front of the dignitaries. "Since you're a starving Rogue, I'll offer you the job. You can sleep in the servants' quarters." When I refused, he turned his venom on my three-year-old son, calling him a "bastard." My son bit him in defense. That was when August’s new mate grabbed a lethal silver knife and lunged at my child. I threw myself in front of the blade. It pierced my shoulder, the silver burning like acid. August laughed, thinking he had just rid the world of a weak human. He didn't know he had just drawn the blood of the legendary White Wolf. The entire hall fell silent as the ground began to shake. My husband, the Supreme Alpha, kicked open the doors, his eyes glowing with murderous intent. He didn't look at the trembling Council. He looked at the knife in my shoulder. "You drew Royal blood," he whispered, the sound terrifyingly low. "Close the doors. No one leaves alive."

From Rejected Rogue to the Supreme Alpha's Queen Chapter 1

Three years after being rejected for having "no wolf," I returned to my old pack's territory.

I wasn't the pathetic human girl anymore; I was the Luna of the Supreme Alpha. But to test them, I wore plain grey clothes and blocked my scent.

My ex-mate, August, took the bait instantly.

He cornered me at the Alpha Summit, mocking my appearance.

"We need a nanny to wash diapers," he sneered in front of the dignitaries. "Since you're a starving Rogue, I'll offer you the job. You can sleep in the servants' quarters."

When I refused, he turned his venom on my three-year-old son, calling him a "bastard."

My son bit him in defense.

Chapter 1

Sophia POV:

"I, August Cadwell, reject you, Sophia Miller, for your lack of wolf blood. You are human. You are weak. You are nothing."

I gasped, jerking awake. My hand flew to my chest, clutching the silk sheets of the sleeping pod. Sweat coated my forehead, cold and clammy.

It had been three years, but the nightmare was always the same. The rain. The cold mud seeping into my knees. The look of utter disgust in August’s eyes as he severed the bond I’d been foolish enough to believe was eternal.

"Luna? Are you alright?" A flight attendant—a Beta female from the Lymerian Pack—stepped softly into the cabin, her head bowed in respect.

I took a shaky breath, forcing my heart rate to slow. "I'm fine, Clara. Just... old memories."

"We are beginning our descent into Aurelis territory," she informed me softly. "Alpha Ryder’s private jet will land in ten minutes."

Aurelis. The name tasted like ash in my mouth. My old home. The place where I was thrown away like garbage.

I stood up and walked to the mirror. The woman staring back at me wasn't the pathetic, crying girl from three years ago. My skin was glowing, my posture straight. I was the Luna of the Lymerian Pack, the wife of the Supreme Alpha, and the mother of the most powerful heir in a century.

But today, I had to play a role.

I reached for the thick, leather collar on the vanity table. It was a scent blocker, imbued with ancient runes.

As I buckled it around my neck, my scent—the intoxicating aroma of winter jasmine and moon-touched snow—vanished. Now, I smelled like nothing. Like a human. Or worse, a Rogue—a wolf without a pack, wandering the edges of civilization.

"Are you sure about this, Sophia?" Ryder had asked me before he flew ahead to the Summit headquarters. His concern had been palpable, a warm weight in my mind.

"They need to see who I really am, Ryder," I had told him. "Not the Luna protected by your title. But the woman they discarded."

The plane touched down with a smooth thud.

I grabbed my bag. I wore loose, nondescript grey clothing. To the untrained eye, it looked cheap. In reality, it was spun from rare silk, but the cut was intentional. It hid the slight curve of my belly—my second pregnancy, a secret only Ryder knew.

I stepped onto the tarmac. The air of Aurelis was humid and smelled of pine and stagnant water.

I walked toward the private exit, head down.

"Well, look what the cat dragged in. Or should I say, the stray dog?"

My steps faltered. That voice. It was deeper now, more arrogant, but I would recognize it anywhere.

August.

I looked up. He was leaning against a sleek black sedan, wearing a suit that cost more than my parents' old house. He looked good, in a superficial way. Blonde hair, sharp jaw. But his eyes... they were empty.

Next to him stood Hailey. The woman he chose over me. She was clinging to his arm, her fingers digging into his bicep. She smelled of synthetic roses and the sour tang of a low-ranked wolf.

"August," I said, my voice calm.

He pushed off the car and walked toward me, his nose wrinkling. "I saw a commercial flight land earlier. I didn't think you could afford a ticket back here. Did you beg for it?"

He scanned my loose clothes, my lack of jewelry, the scent blocker collar.

"No pack scent," he sneered, stepping into my personal space. "So it's true. You're a Rogue now. A beggar."

"I'm just passing through," I said, moving to step around him.

He blocked my path.

"Don't be rude, Sophia," Hailey chimed in, her voice high and grating. She looked at me with mock pity. "Oh, August, look at her. She looks homeless. It's heartbreaking."

"It is," August agreed, a cruel smirk playing on his lips. "You know, Sophia, despite everything, I'm a benevolent leader now. I run the Aurelis forces."

"Congratulations," I said dryly.

"We actually have an opening," August continued, ignoring my tone. "Hailey just gave birth to our pup. We need a nanny. Someone to wash the diapers, clean the nursery. Since you're obviously starving, I'm willing to offer you the position. You can sleep in the servants' quarters. It’s better than the streets."

My hand instinctively went to my stomach. *My child,* I projected the thought inward, soothing the restless energy in my womb. *Do not be angry. They are ants.*

"I am not interested," I said.

"Don't be ungrateful!" Hailey snapped. "You have no wolf! You are basically human trash. We are offering you salvation!"

Suddenly, the airport loudspeakers crackled.

*"Attention. The private transport for the Supreme Alpha of the Lymerian Pack has arrived at Gate A. Please clear the area immediately."*

August’s face paled instantly. He straightened his tie, panic flashing in his eyes.

"The Supreme Alpha is here," he hissed at Hailey. "Fix your hair! If we make a good impression, maybe he'll grant us a trade deal."

He turned back to me, his expression turning to pure venom. "Get out of here, Sophia. Go hide in the bathroom or something. If the Supreme Alpha sees a filthy Rogue like you standing near us, he might be offended."

I almost laughed.

"I'm leaving," I said.

I walked past them. As I brushed by August, I saw him checking his reflection in the car window, practicing his bow.

He had no idea that the "Supreme Alpha" he was so desperate to impress was currently texting me, asking if I wanted him to rip someone's throat out.
