She said she would be happy as long as I was around. We were happy back then. Life felt like a fairytale.

I stayed by her side as she started as an entry-level employee and quickly became the president of the family company. She told me she would not have become the president without my silent support. Those words made me teary-eyed, as she recognized my efforts.

I did not even tell her that sheer hard work alone during these five years was not enough for her to secure the president position. She needed connections more than that. Every time she successfully landed an important contract, it was because I pulled some strings. However, I never told her this as I felt that telling her the truth would be disrespectful.

I thought I should remain an ordinary man from her perspective. She was used to it, and I was also used to it. Therefore, I silently protected her and took on all the housework.
