Chapter 2

Rick's face immediately darkened and he quickly stood up.

"You're a useless piece of trash who can't become famous. Some things should be kept a secret, how dare you say it on the show? Do you think you'll no longer be a trash by telling everyone about it? Do you think you're the hero now?"

Shannon crossed her arms and snorted. "James Clinton, I gave you a chance, but you ignored it. You're the one who's useless. What right do you have to pin the blame on me?"

Looking at the two of them being on the same side, I sneered. "You've truly surprised me. Are you not going to keep things a secret anymore?"

I looked at Rick, who was at the side. His wife, Christine's face turned pale.

"Are you looking for a beating?"

Rick suddenly threw a glass on the ground, walked over to grab my collar, and punched me in the face.

I had no time to react at all. Just when I realized what was going on and was about to fight back, Christine suddenly grabbed my hand. "Let's start this argument. We're still on the show, the cameras are still recording."

After hearing those words, Rick calmed a little. He let go of me and patted down his clothes.

When he returned to his seat, he glared at me and then spat a mouthful of saliva on the ground.

I wasn't going to let things go. Just as I was about to walk over to reason with him, Christine quickly grabbed me and shook her head slightly. She seemed to be begging me not to do so.

I decided to let things go and turned to head back to my seat.

Shannon rolled her eyes and cursed quietly, "Useless fool!"

The makeup artist seemed to be used to this kind of situation, so she walked over and used makeup to cover the bruise on my face.

The director then said, "Quiet everyone. Let's continue the shoot."

Shannon did the same as before and leaned towards me passionately. However, there was a disdainful look in her eyes.

I forced myself not to be disgusted and completed the shoot.

After the shoot, Shannon became even bolder.

She went back to our room, packed up her things, and moved them all to Rick's room.

She became bolder and bolder over the next couple of days.

There was even one time when they occupied the set's equipment room. The director knocked on the door for quite a while saying that he needed the cameras inside.

Only a while later did the two of them walk out of the room with their clothes being in a mess.

I recorded evidence that Shannon had cheated on me and sent them to my lawyer, asking him to draft a divorce agreement for me. I was planning on getting Shannon to sign the agreement after the recording of the show had ended.

On the last day of the recording, it was the stage where the guests decided whether to get a divorce or not.

The script that Shannon and I were given was not to divorce. The director told me that if I didn't do what the script said, I would have to pay a huge amount of liquidation fees.

Therefore, even if I was disgusted, I still followed the script.

I looked at Shannon, whose eyes were filled with disdain, forced myself to not be disgusted, and said, "Honey, I'll love you for the rest of my life."

As for Shannon, she walked towards me and hugged me. "I love you, honey."

It was an absurd scene.

Shannon's lover, Rick, watched from the side. But Shannon and I still had to act as if we really loved each other.

The recording had ended. What was left was the editing part.

Shannon then showed her true colors. She first threw me a divorce agreement. "Your pitiful look disgusts me. How could I have been so blind to a useless fool like you?"

I sneered and looked through the divorce agreement.

It stated that I should give the car and the house, and she should have possession of all my music copyrights.

"Shannon, is your head on straight? You're the one who's cheated on me. How dare you ask me to divorce and leave without a penny?"

"You've wasted so many years of my youth, can I not ask for you to compensate me?"
