I prepared the event hall with my colleagues, and couldn't believe my eyes when I saw my mate as the groom, kissing another woman as his bride. That was the worst day of my life, because I didn't just get heartbroken, but I also messed up a man while in tears. He was the alpha supreme of all alphas, and my ex's uncle. Chapter 7

Unity.

I didn't expect him to turn his back on me after so much devouring my body with his eyes. He stood still, his head lowered, but said nothing to me for seconds while I wondered what was going on with him.

Susan had advised me to do this because there was no way the alpha supreme would give me such a position beside him without a reason. In her words, he was interested in me and wanted me close to him, so if I didn't want to lose the job, I should make the move first, so he would also think I was as interested in him as he was.

Although I had lied to Susan that I had no single feeling for this man, that was a fat lie, and my wolf always mocked me for that. He looked way too young and muscular, huge enough to press my back against the wall and do so many bad things to me. I had already created in my mind the several things he would do to me once I stripped willingly before him.

I thought he wouldn't hold back but dominate over me and have me moan helplessly under his stoutly built body. But here he was, after lusting over my body, had his back on me as though I was irrelevant and the whore here.

Secretaries tend to satiate the boss's sexual urge too, so it wasn't so bad of him to claim me. I wasn't just doing it for the sake of his huge offer that was about to change my life, but because I had already craved it and would likely get fucked in my dreams someday by him.

When he didn't say a thing to me for such a long time, I decided to get closer to him. He heard the sound of my heels but didn't glance back, and when I placed my palms on his shoulder, which were high enough for the average me, he scoffed and shook his head. "Have your clothes on before you say anything to me. You're my secretary, not my stripper," he muttered, but his voice was laced with uncertainty.

Was he scared of doing this? Alpha Tyrion couldn't be telling the truth that he had a daughter as old as me.

If that was the case, then he could be thinking I was a minor to him. But it doesn't really matter, and no one would even care or know. We were adults and could make decisions ourselves, so I wasn't even thinking too much about the outcome.

The last thing I ever wished for was to lose this job, because I was no longer working in the resort, and this was my only hope for survival and to cater for my brother and hospitalised aunt.

"Unity, you heard me well..." his voice came again, and I didn't hesitate to step back. "Put your clothes on and prepare my outfit. I'll freshen up quickly."

He didn't even turn around to spare me a glance, but walked seriously into his bathroom.

I didn't just feel disappointed, but so ashamed of myself. Could it be that he had no such thing in mind, and I just did this? But the way he stared at me says that he wanted it, but couldn't reach it.

Why was he holding back so much? It could either be a one-time thing, or...

Who cares how many times he fucked me? I wasn't a good girl any longer, not after Tyrion made me feel so stupid about myself. His age doesn't matter to me, provided he is mature enough and wouldn't make me feel so useless.

Besides, Susan said that older men take care of their women the most, so it was actually better.

But then, if he truly had a daughter, then what about his luna? Was he divorced, or was his Luna dead?

I looked around the room to check if I could see any photo of his Luna, but not even a single one. The only photo aside from which I saw was his daughter; she had the same looks as him and was pretty much of my age, like Tyrion said.

'Then it wouldn't be so bad to date her Dad. I was already his secretary, and unless he was married, he was the kinda man that I wanted now....not some young man like Tyrion who would dump me later on.' I thought, biting my finger and staring at the girl's picture.

Soon, I got his outfits ready based on the list I had created the previous day, and waited behind until he was out.

I was too focused on the notepad, which I scrolled through, checking what his schedule would look like for the day, when I heard the thud sound of the door, causing me to flinch. I raised my head, and my eyes locked with his. Quickly, I looked away, my heart palpitating.

Why did he look so hot? Those times with Tyrion, I never saw what he looked like wearing just a towel around his waist. His abs were dripping, and his scattered hair all over his forehead and ears made him look damn crazy for an alpha like him.

How did he come to have such broad muscles? They were so attractive, and I was damn sure no woman would ever take their eyes away from such a body build.

I took a hard gulp, refusing to raise my head again.

He had just turned down my body, so it meant we were just into business and no other thing.

Yet, my wolf couldn't resist the urge to take a glance once again. I found myself staring at him for so long that I didn't realise he'd been calling out my name.

"Are you lost? Get me another tie!" he ordered, and I jolted to my feet.

As stupid as I was, I forgot where I had gotten the first one and began taking another direction. How could I be going so crazy over someone who doesn't even want me? I never felt this way towards Tyrion, so I should mind my business, as this was his uncle too, and there wouldn't be so much difference between them.

When I tried bringing up the age gap as an excuse to get my mind off him, my wolf sneered in my head...and sure, that shouldn't be the reason not to get a taste of what other females would crave and seek to devour willingly.

I got the tie, and when I brought it, he had already put on his outfits, so I had to fix the tie for him myself.

My heart was pounding so loud, and with the closeness between us, I knew he could hear it damn well. I was almost done when he whispered to my ear, "Do you really want it so much that you can't even concentrate any longer?" My hand was still on his chest. I barely moved my body as I feared what the outcome would be. "Unity, you didn't think of the outcome of it, did you?"

I shook my head. I hadn't thought of that, because it was surely nothing to me.

"But you don't start what you can't finish, because I am not the kinda man the innocent you deserve. Don't you think so? I'm old enough to be your dad...so you can actually call me 'uncle'," he said once again, and the last part slammed my chest like a blow.

Did he just say that? I could call him uncle because I could be his daughter?

"If you ever try this again, I won't hold back but punish you in such a way you won't ever forget. I'll make sure to burst your brain so you learn boundaries..." His voice wasn't as cold as I expected, and for some reason, I saw those words as an irony.

Still, I bowed to him in respect, "Forgive me alpha. I crossed the line." But I was about to burst into tears right away, because his words hurt more than Tyrion's betrayal.

When I raised my face, he was staring at me as well, and I could see the lust and desire glinting in his eyes. Why was he holding back so much? I even hated how my wolf was over him as though he were my mate...or was he?

It couldn't be.

If he were my second-chance mate, then he wouldn't care about the age gap and possess what belonged to him.
