I prepared the event hall with my colleagues, and couldn't believe my eyes when I saw my mate as the groom, kissing another woman as his bride. That was the worst day of my life, because I didn't just get heartbroken, but I also messed up a man while in tears. He was the alpha supreme of all alphas, and my ex's uncle. What happens when he forces me to reject my mate because I had to be his secretary? And when my mate insists I become his mistress to give him a pup, will his uncle let him have me back? ... Chapter 8

"You would need to learn how to drive, Unity, because sometimes, you would handle the car steering," he said to me as the car drove off his palace, and I nodded in agreement, not like I even had a choice when it was part of my role.

I had also wanted to learn how to drive, but Tyrion insisted it was of no use until I was done with college. The time Alpha Geralt took me to the mall and got me all those things without opting to slash it from my salary was the first time I got gifts from a man.

Tyrion never got me one, and he would always assure me that it wasn't proof of his love for me, as he was genuine and not based on material things. If I hadn't met Alpha Geralt myself, I wouldn't ever believe that he had just such a soft spot for people, as others always talked badly about him.

When we arrived at his company, he ordered his beta to show me around and some necessary things that I needed to know about the company. It was the finest place I had ever seen, where jewelry and other stuff that had to do with fashion and design were all produced before being delivered to the buyers. It was so huge, and like a factory, even though there was a sound suppressor.

"You're his first female secretary, so do a good job and don't have him complain. He might not be the kind of boss you had wanted to work with, but you will learn to keep up with him soon," Beta Jesper advised me, and I bowed to him.

He showed me my work desk and the several things I had been handed over, most importantly, his schedules, appointments, pending, and unfinished tasks.

After Beta Jesper left, I took my time to go through everything, and I found out he had a meeting with his board of advisors in the next hour, so I went over to his office and relayed it to him so he would begin wrapping some things up.

As I reached back to my desk, a man showed up and exchanged pleasantries with me. He wore that smile that could melt a metal or maybe take any female to their knees, but since I wasn't in such a mood, I flung my hair backwards and asked him, "Sir, do you have an appointment with the alpha supreme?"

He bit the side of his lips, running his eyes all over my body. "I think so, but that could...

"Are you coming to see me or not?" As I heard that voice, I lowered my face. "You aren't tryna flirt with my secretary, huh?"

The man chuckled and walked away from my desk. "But, you never had a female secretary. What's going on?"

"I never said I didn't want to have one..."

"Then you shouldn't get annoyed if I flirt with her. Who would walk past such beauty? What were you thinking when you kept her here? So long as she isn't married, who am I not to flirt with her?" The man sounded so mean, and I didn't find it funny. I never wanted to be a secretary to flirt with men, so he was just looking down on me. "Well, I think we should meet before I get back to her," he said again, and the door shut once.

I sighed in relief and sat back, then went back to what I was busy with.

Now that I had ended things with Tyrion, I was free to have another man in my life. But I was hesitating for a reason I didn't know. This man, who just showed interest in me, was fucking good enough to please any female, but I simply didn't get fond of him, and even his eyes on me irritated me.

'Maybe, you hadn't gotten over Tyrion's betrayal, but I have...and it's not like I want anything to do with the shitty man that just showed up.' As usual, my wolf ranted. She was good at it, and I loved how she kept my mind busy when I was lost in thought. 'Look, Unity, we shouldn't stay single for so long. Being a secretary doesn't mean we're not gonna get married, so if we meet a good guy that seeks our attention, we go for him.'

I chuckled, 'What about Alpha Supreme? You don't have a thing with him again?'

'He's playing too hard to get, and I'm too naughty to wait without hope.'

I pouted, nodding, because I got her point.

'Then we could do some clubbing during the weekends. We could meet a good guy there too.' I suggested, and she purred in my head.

Soon, the man walked out of the alpha's office and again walked straight to my desk. He placed his business card there and winked at me. I didn't need to be told what he meant, so I didn't refuse but took the card.

As I dropped it in my drawer, Alpha Geralt showed me before me, wearing a thick scowl. He approached me, looked me deep in the eyes, and ordered me, "I want to have a talk with you..." Then he turned around and began getting back into his office.

I joined him immediately in his office, and as he got seated, I stood, waiting for him to speak.

"Do you realise what it means to be my first female secretary?" he asked, and I was lost for words. Wasn't it the same as a male taking the role? Was there a difference? "If you're going to have that position, then have it in mind that I own you...and so you have no business with any man that steps in here."

My brows wrinkled. Was he trying to have control over my life or what? I didn't want that. If he would dominate me, not this way...just by fucking my wet pink hole and nothing else. "Alpha, I'm old enough to have a man in my life, even if they are not my mate."

"And what if I refuse? Are you gonna quit? You don't even know how unserious they are, so what will you benefit from them?" he breathed out, and then stood to his feet. "I didn't employ you to flirt with any man that steps in here, but to work, earn, and take care of your family. If that doesn't suit you, I'll let you go."

I didn't want to believe he was saying all those things to a grown-up like me. So I chose to ask him, "What about your daughter who's my age? Doesn't she have a boyfriend?"

But he didn't answer, nor did he even look at me.

"I had offered you my body just hours ago, but you rejected me. I am done with your nephew, too, so why can't I move on with another man? Who said being a secretary has anything to do with my personal life?" I licked my lips, finally noticing how harsh my voice was, and so I bowed to him. "I'm sorry, Alpha. But aside from work, I also have to live my life. I want to get a man who would breath at my skin, whisper dirty words to me, spread my legs while I sit on his lap, and then grind his shaft into my honeypot. That's what I want aside from work!"

I didn't want him to say a thing, but kicked off towards the door.

He was fast enough to hold my hands, flinging me around to face him.

His gaze dripped with lust. I saw how much he was holding back his feelings towards me.

"Do you even know what all those mean? Any man that does that to you is a monster, and is bound to destroy you," he stated calmly, as though he was trying to drop an ice into a furnace. "Unity, you need to mind what you ask for..."

I scoffed at him. I wasn't a kid anymore.

"Your daughter could be craving more dirty things than me. It means that I'm no longer a kid."

"But you have to focus on your studies and....

I shut him up with my index finger. He talked a lot, and I hated it. Why couldn't he just act?

Maybe I should try again.

I stepped back a bit and began unbuttoning my shirt, expecting him to turn around again. If I wasn't fit to be his, then he had no right to own me. I was old enough to be his daughter, and also an adult who could make decisions for herself.

While I stripped my shirt off my body, I saw how he fought hard to resist the urge. But not again...

I ripped off my brassiere, and just at the sight of my bouncing boob, he rushed towards me with such energy I hadn't ever seen. His lips crashed into mine hungrily, and I responded vigorously, taking his saliva down my throat.
