Chapter 4

Placing his legs down from the wheels of the chair, he stretched them and then slowly he stood up on his feet. He was tall, very tall. His long legs stood steady on the ground, although he appeared short sitting, it was not the case while he was standing. Dr. Claire's lips curled into a smirk, "When are you going to tell your wife? That you can walk perfectly well? And that your legs are not damaged?"  "Master doesn't need to tell this to the young miss, the young miss just came into the villa. What if she is a spy?" Elias retorted with a frown. "Not everyone is a spy like you Elias, people vary." Dr. Claire shot back with cold eyes. Elias swallowed, guilt flashed through his eyes for a moment before it disappeared. In the past, before he had joined the team, he was a spy who came to invade them and he had used Dr. Claire as his means of information and getting into the house. "I'm sorry." Elias muttered with a choked throat. Dr. Claire gazed at him before humming and turning away. "That's enough for both of you. I will decide if she needs to know, for now Elena is better off not knowing anything." Adrian silenced the both of them. He walked around and sat on the black chair that was skillfully and specially made for him, running his hands through the files, he picked out a particular one. "Go through this file and get whatever is left done. I need it tomorrow." Adrian remarked throwing the file at Elias, Elias was quick to catch hold of the file too. He nodded his head and hurried out of the room. "What did you find, Dr. Claire? After the checkup?" Adrian questioned Dr. Claire, he had made an observation earlier which he had talked to Dr. Claire about. "Aside from not having any physical pain, I checked her blood type and it seems to be different from the members of her supposed family, she seems to be from a different family." Dr. Claire remarked standing straight. "Another family... Mmmm... Let's keep this information to ourselves for now, find out everything about her background and which family she belongs to and let me know about it." Adrian responded by reading through his files. "Okay master." Dr. Claire replied and skipped out of the office, her favorite part of her work was finding and linking things. Like a puzzle, it made her happy whenever she did it. Vanessa walked into her Manager's office with a pissed expression on her face. She stumped her foot and took a seat on the couch. In a few minutes, her manager walked in too with an equally pissed expression adorning her face. "What the hell is wrong with them? I said I wanted this deal but it was given to someone else. Not just anyone, the mysterious singer?"  "Is F Company so small now that they can't even buy a deal for me?" Vanessa ranted, tapping her feet continuously on the ground. "I am no less mad than you are. I thought you spoke to the CEO? So what's happening? They can't even get such a small deal for you, then what's the use of staying in this company?" Vanessa's manager said too, pacing up and down. "Dad asked me to get that deal so I can stay out of the country for a while, the foolish company failed to get it. Now that my brainless sister is married to that crippled man, I can live my life freely as I want but they don't want me to."  "I should go and meet the CEO again, he has some explaining to do." Vanessa screamed hitting the couch. "Take it easy Vanessa, going to the CEO now won't solve anything. You already went to see him once but he didn't give you a face, he only gave you a face before because you were the fiancée of the Second young master of the Louis Family." "You can't go to him now without any identity, he would blatantly refuse to see you. I suggest you go home now and wait till it is resolved or you ask your father to speak to him." The manager remarked thoughtfully. Vanessa was furious, she was mad at everyone. She wanted this deal to do much, it would boost her popularity and give her more fame but right under her eyes it was snatched by a mysterious singer! Someone she didn't even know! "Ahhhhhhhh fuck it"! Vanessa picked up her bag and keys in anger and stormed out of the office. Vanessa didn't wait and she ended up forgetting her face mask on the couch, she rushed out like that. Her manager shook her head helplessly. "Don't forget to cover up so you won't get photographed by the media." Vanessa's manager yelled after her but it all fell on deaf ears, she sighed. She had to get to work now. If not, then she would be fired soon. Outside the Manager's office, three girls stood in a corner, the red colored hair girl among them smirked. She wiped her shirt and gestured to the others to follow her, so she had been getting distracted all this while because of her lack of connection.  And the supposed daughter in law of the Louis Family was here, while someone got married in her place. A cold glint flashed through her eyes, it was going to be an interesting topic on the net.... Soon the girls disappeared from the corridor. Vanessa's manager tried to call everyone she could think of to help Vanessa in getting the deal that she wanted but nothing was going through, even after 45 minutes, she still had gotten no promising  response. Annoyed, she crashed on the couch. She Picked up the remote control, she turned on the TV and switched channels till she got to entertainment news, searching for something to keep her mind off her failure. "NEWS FLASH: THE FAMOUS SUPERSTAR Vanessa Whitmore WHO WAS SUPPOSED  TO HAVE GOTTEN MARRIED WAS SEEN DRIVING AROUND THE CITY. IT IS ALLEGED THAT THE SECOND YOUNG MASTER WAS DECEIVED BY HER." "What is the meaning of this? How did this get out! How!!" Richard yelled, throwing the remote control to the wall. The remote control smashed against the wall and broke into bits.

The Billionaire's Surprise: Her Secret Twins
9.1
I returned to the Reeves estate after five years in exile, not as the rightful heir, but as an outcast. My father had been dead for only a month, and my uncle Julian had already claimed his mahogany desk, his face tight with a greed he no longer bothered to hide. Julian didn't even look up as he slid a check for a hundred thousand dollars across the wood. "A settlement," he sneered. "Sign the waiver, take your bastards, and disappear. We don't want you embarrassing the family name anymore." One hundred thousand dollars for a legacy worth billions—it was an insult designed to draw blood. When my five-year-old twins, Leo and Mia, ran into the room, Julian looked at them with pure disgust, calling them vermin and ordering them out. He threatened that if I didn't sign, I’d be on the street in a week, stripped of the Reeves name and every penny of protection. Even the family lawyer looked away as he helped facilitate my ruin. I tore the check to shreds and walked out into a freezing deluge, shielding my children while the doors of my childhood home slammed shut behind us. I spent years building a secret life as a high-level corporate fixer, yet when I crossed paths with Branson Reeves—the man who shared my son’s eyes—he treated me like a common gold-digger. He outbid me for the "Midnight Orchid" painting, the only piece of evidence that could bring Julian down, mocking my "thrift store" clothes while my children slept in a borrowed guest room. How could they all be so blind? How could a family be so ready to destroy its own blood for the sake of a ledger? I was done hiding in the shadows. When Julian finally launched a hostile takeover to seize the entire empire, I walked into Branson’s penthouse, dropped my "poor niece" facade, and threw a decrypted file onto his desk. "The game is over, Branson. Give me that painting, and I’ll show you exactly how to bury the man who thinks he's already won."
