Chapter 13

The sun was setting over the forest, casting a warm orange glow over the trees. Asher, Racheal, Kalen, and Lyra were sitting together, enjoying a meal of fresh meat and berries. The atmosphere was relaxed, with the four of them chatting and laughing together just as Asher planned. Asher looked at Racheal, his eyes shining with love and respect. "Father," he said, using the word that had been on his mind for a while. Racheal's eyes snapped up, and he looked at Asher in surprise. "Yes, Asher?" he replied, his voice filled with emotion. Asher took a deep breath, his heart pounding with excitement. "I want to call you Father," he said, his voice trembling with emotion. "You've been there for me, Racheal, you've taught me and loved me, and I want to acknowledge you as my father." Racheal's eyes welled up with tears, and he pulled Asher into a tight hug. "Asher, my son," he whispered, his voice choking with emotion. "I'm honored, truly honored." Kalen and Lyra smiled, their eyes shining with tears. "We're all family now," Kalen said, his voice filled with joy. Asher looked at Kalen, his eyes filled with a mix of emotions. "Father," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "I forgive you for leaving me, for not being there when I needed you." Kalen's eyes dropped, and he looked away, his shoulders shaking with emotion. "Asher, I'm so sorry," he said, his voice choking with tears. "I was young and stupid, and I made a mistake. Can you ever forgive me?" Asher's eyes softened, and he pulled Kalen into a hug. "I forgive you, Father," he said, his voice filled with love and forgiveness. "I forgive you, and I love you." Kalen hugged him back, his eyes overflowing with tears. "Thank you, Asher," he whispered. "Thank you for forgiving me." Lyra and Racheal looked at each other, their eyes shining with tears. "We all make mistakes," Lyra said, her voice filled with love and understanding. "But we can always choose to forgive, to move forward." Racheal nodded, his eyes filled with agreement. "We're all family now, and family forgives." The four of them hugged, their hearts filled with love and forgiveness. They knew that they would face challenges in the future, but they were ready, united as a family, as a pack. As they sat together, the stars began to twinkle in the sky. The forest was quiet, with only the sound of crickets and the occasional hooting of an owl breaking the silence. Asher stood up, his eyes shining with excitement. "Let's go for a run," he said, his voice filled with enthusiasm. The others looked at him, their eyes sparkling with interest. "Sounds like a great idea," Kalen said, standing up and stretching his legs. The four of them took off, running through the forest, their paws pounding the earth. The wind rushed past them, carrying the scent of trees and earth. As they ran, they chatted, their voices carrying on the wind. They talked about their hopes and dreams, their fears and worries. They talked about everything and nothing, their words flowing like a river. The forest was alive, with creatures scoping out of their hiding spots to watch the four Alphas run by. The trees seemed to lean in, their branches tangling together as if to join in the celebration. As they ran, the moon rose high in the sky, casting a silver glow over the forest. The four of them slowed down, their breathing heavy, their fur glistening with sweat. They stopped at a clearing, looking up at the moon. The stars twinkled above them, and the forest was quiet, as if the creatures were holding their breath. Asher looked at the others, his eyes shining with love and gratitude. "I'm so lucky to have you all," he said, his voice filled with emotons.
