Chapter 6

The moment Christian steps out of the room , I grab my phone which was just by the bed stand and then I place a call across to Mia.

Mia's phone rang for the next two minutes but I got no reply from her.

I sent a text to her as I dropped my phone and then rolled  down from the bed to pick up my clothes that were neatly folded on the shelf.

Once I was done I took the paper and just as I was about to walk out of the room the door opened but this time it wasn't Christian, it was a chef.

"He wants  you downstairs," the woman who opened the door  said.

I nodded helplessly as I picked up the papers where I had signed the contract and folded it into my bag.

He was nuts,I was definitely going to find out  if the content of that contract is real or if he was just desperate to own me.

I took the stairs and as I got closer to the living room , I saw him sitting  on a  chair  he hadn't worn anything and he was still shirtless .

There was  a guy sitting  beside him

I could read the shocked expression on his face when he saw me.

I slowly lowered my head, unable to  look at him. I was scared, scared of the big man that blew terror in the city but yet I was standing in front of him in his house.

I asked my boys to drop you off at home safely and you are to  come back  here before the day runs out remember we had an agreement.

Christian words were short and firm, his  voice sounded hoarse maybe from the cigarette he had been smoking but  that didn't stop the pain in my heart.

The tears slipped out of my eyes when he said that,I felt hopeless and helpless.

I didn't want to cry, I didn't want him to see my tears.

Christian seemed to notice the tears swelling up in my eyes but he just looked away; he didn't care.

"Jared would take you home" he said without looking at me and when  I turned I noticed the boy standing there.

Unlike the rest of the  guys   who were big  and  had  scary looks  he looked sweet, calm and innocent.

Ignoring the raging pain in my heart, I nodded as I turned to the boy as we both walked  out.

*******

What did he say, are those documents real?

Mia  looked at her phone again  before giving me a glance  and at that moment , the breathing around me stopped.

My heart tightened against my chest at the throbbing I felt as the tears  slipped out.

I knew that look, that hopeless look .

They were real.

But why me , why does he want me? Why do I have to be the one in a situation or a mess like this?

First it was  my husband's unfair treatment and abuse and now I have signed a contract marriage with the man who looted him more than anything.

"This isn't the end of the world," Mia  said  as she sat in front of me, cleaning the tears in my eyes.

I pulled her hands  away from mine as   I stood up and started   pacing  around.

Do you know the first thing I thought  when Callum died?

Freedom.

That was the first word

I fell in love with the president of a motorcycle-club, a ruthless one at that and that marriage was hell for me and I had no escape, because  I turned my back on all those that loved me just to choose him.

My husband was the devil Mia, I was just his puppet , but he feared him.

I heard him talk about him in tense voices with his men and  when they  clashed, he was scared and you know him , no one dared to go against him in the society even the government stayed off him and that is the kind of man I'm supposed to get married to.

Do you know the things he would do to me?

That man hated my  husband and anything that concerned him.

I know he hates  me like hell and now I have to be his wife , like I am some pawn in their games.

What   would his club members say when they find out I married my husband's rival, that's  a taboo .

I knew I wasn't the active president's wife and I had no interest in their world but I know better not to  be with his enemy.

He made me his fucking  wife how  am i  to deal with that Mia.

Mia pulled me into a tight hug as I sobbed loudly holding her.

It's okay baby, we would find  a way to get you out of this.

Please just please , I don't think I can do that , I don't love him.

I just want a second chance at life.

Mia held me in her arms while I cried, pouring out my emotions and pains.

For the next  few minutes  we stayed in that position.

I didn't want to  think all about it but my heart was hurting from crying so much.

I had stopped crying  and Mia decided that she was going to get me a  cup of water .

My phone which was on the couch vibrated and I rushed to pick it up but  it was a message from an unknown number.

Without thinking twice I clicked on the message.

"Your husband is by the door and I'm pretty sure  you don't want to keep him waiting" the message read

Christian,he was here.

Mia steps out of the kitchen but instead  I turn.

The moon light was already shining bright in the sky but when I looked out of the window.

There  he was.

From the cool bright night  I watched him, his helmet was neatly placed on top of his bike and  his  face was fixed on the house.

He was here to take me home as his wife.
