BLOOD BOND: TIED TO MY ALPHA Chapter 1
Chapter 1: Save Your Heir
REBEKKA
Activity was bustling in the clinic as I held my mop close to my chest and weaved through the crowd to make my way over to the bedside of one of the pack warriors who had just vomited blood on the tiled floor.
I put the mop down and cleaned up the mess and was about rinsing it free when I heard my name.
"Rebekka! Get over here!" Doctor Purcell yelled as he struggled to hold down a combative patient.
I dropped the mop and the bucket and ran over to him, "Yes, Master!"
"Hold him down, I need to pull out all these shards!" He commanded.
The man on the table eyed me wickedly as I tried to hold his hands down by his side, with a little shake he sent me stumbling backwards and I fell to the floor.
I wasn't even strong enough to hold down an injured pack warrior.
"Get out of the way, mutt!" a vicious voice called out to me.
I stiffened and looked up, shifting out of the way quickly.
The man that spoke to me, along with two other men, were covered in blood and were pushing a gurney hurriedly into the pack clinic.
On the bed was the most handsome man I had ever seen!
He was shirtless and covered in blood but even that did not dampen how hot he looked.
I felt a tightness in my chest as I gawked at him as I got to my feet, Who the hell was that?
The initial excitement was replaced by a wave of fear, when I saw his injuries. Why was he bleeding so much? I didn't think I had seen so much blood in my life.
I felt sick.
I just stood there as he was wheeled in and Doctor Purcell left the patient he was treating to give all his attention to the hot injured man that was just brought in.
I shook off the fear and confusion, I was in a clinic and one day I was hoping I might be able to work here as a doctor, I should not be scared of the sight of such blood or injury.
I went about my normal duties of cleaning up after patients and changing soiled sheets.
Later that evening, as I was returning from a supply run, I saw a line forming up outside the clinic.
What was this about?
"Excuse me miss, please why are you lining up here?" I asked the last lady on the line.
She eyed me head to toe and then smirked, "Are you sure that you are in this pack at all?"
She looked at my uniform, "How can you work in the clinic and have no idea what is going on?"
I was caught off guard by her aggression, "What is going on?" I asked innocently.
She rolled her eyes at me, "If you are so curious, go to the town square!" she replied.
I left her side and made my way over to the town square, today had just been weird.
Firstly, we got a huge influx of pack warriors, it looked like they had been in some kind of fight or battle, with whom I had no idea.
We were not through dealing with that and now there was a line forming up outside the clinic, was some rare disease going around?
The voice of the alpha's messenger boomed loudly and interrupted my thoughts, "Loyal members of the Half Moon Pack, today, your heir, the son of the great alpha Michael needs your help. He has been poisoned with wolfsbane by devious witches and is near death!"
I gasped in shock, the alpha's son was dying? How? Where?
Something pinged in my brain and I remembered the young sexy man that was rushed in by those three menacing men.
Could that be the alpha's son? My heart began to thump in my chest.
"He has a rare blood type and as such we need to find a donor for him or else he will die. Save your heir's life... go to the clinic now and get tested, there awaits a huge reward for whoever shall save his life!"
Before I could finish processing what I had heard, I was already running back to the clinic to join the line. How could I be aspiring to be a doctor like Master Purcell in the future and yet allow the alpha's son to die under my nose?
I couldn't let that happen, I doubted that a low born like me would amount to any good but I was determined to do my best to save his life.
I joined the queue and waited impatiently for my turn.
Kaitlin glared at me when it was her turn to draw my blood, "What the hell do you think you are doing here?"
"Please test me," I said and bowed curtly.
"What good could your blood be to anyone?" she added. "Next!" she shouted, looking past me.
"Please test me, Kaitlin, please!" I refused to bulge.
"Get away mutt, you are holding up the line!" the man directly behind me shouted.
I winced but didn't bulge, "Please Kaitlin," I pleaded.
Doctor Purcell came over with an annoyed look on his face, "What's the matter here?"
"Dad, Rebekka joined the queue!" Kaitlin ratted off.
Doctor Purcell eyed me then looked at his daughter, "Just test her, this is urgent."
"But..." she began to protest.
"Just do it and be done with it," he cut her off.
"Give me your hand!" She said in annoyance.
Kaitlin jabbed me with the needle and drew my blood, I winced in pain, looked like she did it intentionally to hurt me.
She put a drop of it on the yellow Stardust leaf and then gasped when it turned deep red. "Dad!" she yelled.
I looked from the leaf to her face, "Please, what is going on?"
Doctor Purcell ran over, as soon as he saw the red leaf his eyes widened and he looked at me, "You are a match!"
Before I could show my surprise, two guards moved forward and grabbed me and led me into the clinic to a room and a bed, adjacent to me was the alpha's son, Lord Stephan.
Everything happened so fast. One minute I am getting tested and the next I am being laid down and prepped.
The last thing I remembered before passing out was the drip being hurriedly fixed into my left hand and then everything faded into blackness.

To calm the board and fix the reputation I supposedly ruined, he forced me into an arranged marriage, auctioning me off to the highest bidder.
Desperate, I turned to my childhood friend, Egnacio, the only person who ever promised to protect me.
But instead of saving me, he publicly humiliated me. He used my desperation as a networking opportunity, pitching my arranged marriage as a business deal to a ruthless private equity king named Dexter Mathews.

"What man wants to be with a woman who looks at you like she's planning a hostile takeover?"
Hearing him mock my pain shattered the last bit of hope I had.
I realized I was never family to them. I was just a sharp knife, used to cut down their enemies and then traded for cash before I got dull.

Waking up with a cold, scaly hand wrapped around my throat wasn't the worst part.
The worst part was realizing I'd transmigrated into the body of Terra Mason—the most despised woman in the entire Enclave. She drugged high-level beast-men and forced them into life-binding bio-contracts. She locked an aquatic warrior in a dry basement until his organs failed. She treated the most lethal males in the city like broken toys.
Zev, the Level 6 serpent who's currently choking me, would rather blow up his own heart than spend another day as my slave. His affection metric? Negative ninety. His trust? Zero.
Then my system activates: the Kore AI. It gives me exactly 500 credits, a medical nano-gel, and a recipe for neutralizing the radioactive poison in mutant meat. Real food. In this world, that's worth more than gold.
I save Rhys, the dying aquatic male everyone left for dead. I season a slab of purple mutant steak until Sam, a battle-scarred grizzly shifter, groans at the taste—and his trust points finally tick above zero. When my backstabbing ex-best friend tries to steal my males and destroy me, I don't scream or throw a tantrum like the old Terra. I dismantle her with the truth.
But earning their trust means more than grilling meat. A scorpion swarm ambushes us at midnight. Sam throws himself between me and a stinger the size of my arm. As he stands over the corpse, fur receding from his claws, he stares at me and whispers, "You were testing me."
Yes. I was. Because in this world, the weak don't survive. And I refuse to be weak again.
Four beast-men. Four contracts. One system. And a whole lot of steak. Let this dystopian wasteland know—I'm not the monster they remember. I'm worse. I'm the one who's going to feed them until they'd kill for me.

I have survived but he has to pay for everything he did to me, because I believed every phase of my life was set by him and him alone. Have I really survived?

Was my mother the one who orchestrated everything? What kind of pawn am I?
