Chapter 1

Siobhan Bailey's POV

The Bailey Family mansion was still as magnificent as it was three years ago. It was not affected by my departure at all. When I came back, this peace finally came to an end!

Bailey Family... I'm back!

I stood at the foot of the stairs and looked up at the tall white building in front of me. The long stairs winding up, I pulled the hem of my clothes, went upstairs and pushed the door.

"It's young lady!" the servant announced. All the people dining in the dining room raised their heads to look at the door

After a moment of silence, Bruce Bailey said in a furious voice, "you ate, drank, went gambling, and then directly became a murderer! You've disgraced Bailey Family. How dare you come back?"

Mrs. Sally Bailey pulled Bruce Bailey's hand and seemed to be dissatisfied with his words. Then she stood up and waved her hand in surprise. "Siobhan is back? Come here!"

I stood there, coldly glancing at the faces of the people eating.

After a while, I strode over.

"Siobhan, are you hungry? Have a seat. I've cooked many dishes you like today, and I'm waiting for you!" Sally Bailey greeted him affectionately, holding my hand.

I smiled ironically. Are you waiting for me? You don't even have an empty chair?

"Jessica, what are you waiting for? Go get a chair for young lady!" Sally Bailey berated.

"Yes, yes, yes..."

"No need!" I interrupted.

"I can't afford such a hearty lunch!" it was really ironic.

"Son of a bitch!" Bruce Bailey pounded the table and stood up, pointing at me angrily. "you've been in prison for three years without any progress! Get out!"

"Bruce..." Sally Bailey hurriedly ran to Bruce Bailey and touched his chest to comfort him.

I walked to the opposite of Bruce Bailey, leaned against the table, looked at him, and sneered, "I haven't made any progress in the Bailey Family for eighteen years, not to mention the three years in prison."

"You..."

" Who taught me before? Should my father settle accounts with someone?" I lowered my head and smiled, staring straight at Bruce Bailey.

"Siobhan Bailey!" Sharon Bailey, the daughter of my stepmother, said, "you mean it's my mother's fault? For so many years, my mother has been very kind to you. You have no one to raise you, but you are shameless to blame others!"

As soon as Sharon Bailey finished speaking, the dining room fell into dead silence.

I was standing against the table, but now I suddenly turn around and put my hands on the table, curling my lips and smiling.

"Splash!" the long tablecloth was lifted up by me, and the knives, forks, cups and plates on the top fell from the table to the people who were eating. The dining room was in a mess just now. Everyone's body, and even their faces were covered with soup and water, which was extremely funny.

"Are you out of your mind?" Bruce Bailey roared and was about to hit me.

I ignored him, sneered, turned around and left

"My father said I was uneducated. I just want to hear your words." on the stairs, I turned around and looked at the shocked people in the restaurant.

Didn't you cook for me? I don't want to eat. No one can eat!

Sandra Bailey, who had been silent all this time, didn't expect that this would happen to her elder sister, who had been gentle and obedient at home before!

I'm crazy.

This was everyone's thought.

I threw myself on the big bed and buried my head in the soft pillow. After a while, I suddenly laughed in a low voice. The laughter became louder and sharper, and my whole body trembled.

My room was still so clean, tidy and spotless. It was obvious that it was carefully cleaned every day. I know who did it without thinking. It's my "virtuous" stepmother, Sally Bailey!

Do you think I will still be grateful for her little kindness as before?

That stupid me, that I was grateful for others' kindness, that I was fooled by others and didn't realize it at all!

Dead!

There was a loud crash. I felt like my body was floating, jumping high and falling heavily to the ground.

I saw someone running to me in panic, seeing the bright red Ferrari that crashed into me, and looking at the person in the Ferrari who seemed to be petrified.

Before the darkness came, I wanted to scream, wriggle, release, and hysterically accuse the injustice of the heavens!

"Ah..." I screamed, held my head and suddenly sat up from the bed.

I was immersed in the nightmare and couldn't come to my senses for a long time.

After a long time, I stumbled out of bed and ran to the bathroom. I leaned against the bathroom and looked up at my pale face in the mirror.

My face was deathly pale, and eyes were unfocused. ,My pale lips were now ashen.

Fortunately, it's me, not anyone else

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath to calm myself down.

After a long time, I held myself, slid along the wall and sat on the floor powerlessly.

It had been a month... For the past month, I had this dream almost every night, but never one day, as real and clear as tonight, as if I was personally in it.

Is it because I'm back to the Bailey Family?

I buried my head in my knees, clenched my fists, and my nails sank into the flesh, but I didn't know it at all, as if to remind myself in this way that I am still alive, and that I am really living with flesh and blood! '!

I'm dead. I'm really dead. I was beaten to death a month before I was released from prison!

My name is Andrea Bailey. I'm Bruce Bailey's daughter. I'm just an illegitimate daughter of shameless.

Married To My Ex-Fiancé's Silent Uncle Novel Cover

Twenty minutes before the "Wedding of the Century" at The Plaza, I stood outside the Presidential Suite in a fifty-thousand-dollar Vera Wang gown. I was the girl from a West Virginia trailer park about to marry Hugh Maxwell, the golden heir to a billion-dollar defense empire. I pushed the door open only to find Hugh pinned against the bed with my own stepsister, Floy. She was wearing my bridal diamond necklace, and the sounds of their laughter scraped against my eardrums like sandpaper. I didn't scream; I listened as Hugh grunted that once the wedding was over and the trust fund unlocked, he’d dump "that hillbilly trash" on a bus back to the mountains. They weren't just cheating; they were planning to steal my family’s land deeds and leave me with nothing. When I set off the sprinklers and exposed their naked bodies to the paparazzi, the Maxwell family didn't apologize. They called me a "greedy peasant" and threatened to ruin my life unless I signed a new deal to save their crashing stock. I realized then that I was never a bride to them. I was a transaction, a rounding error in a ledger to be used and discarded. They thought my poverty made me weak and my silence made me a victim. "If we don't have a marriage certificate by midnight, the bank freezes thirty percent of our liquidity," their lawyer warned. So, I gave them exactly what they wanted. I used a loophole in their hundred-year-old family covenant and married the only other direct heir available. I didn't marry Hugh. I walked into the ICU and married his uncle, Fleet Maxwell—the legendary war hero who had been in a vegetative state for months. Now, I am the matriarch of the Maxwell dynasty. I’ve suspended Hugh’s executive powers, exiled my mother-in-law to the Swiss Alps, and taken control of the family vault. They think I’m just a gold-digger waiting for a "corpse" to die so I can collect a fifty-million-dollar widow's payout. But last night, as I lay beside my comatose husband, the man they called a vegetable gripped my hand back.
