Chapter 81

Dylan let go of Cyrus before he took out the silver name plate from the bag on top of the tomb and carefully placed it at the center top.

CYRUS CARTER

"No longer by our sides, but forever in our hearts."

Aria gasps upon seeing his mate's name engraved in the silver name plate. She knows it is not her pure blood alpha mate's name now but still it gives her goosebumps seeing that.

"Oh...I'm sorry about him. But how did he even die?" Aria asked again but this time she immediately felt the tension that suddenly appeared among the three other wolves around her.

Dylan was about to speak when four black cars entered the private cemetery.

Cyrus is very quick in pulling Aria behind him, making sure that the omega is safe from whoever came uninvited.

Dylan was about to call their security to make sure Cyrus was safe when Harris stopped him.

"It's him." Harris said with a firm voice. Cyrus and Dylan immediately visibly relaxed upon hearing those two words but Aria remained vigilant. She is even more confused when Cyrus takes her hand as they all welcome the newcomers.

The headlights of the vehicles are all focused on them so it forces Aria to hide her face.

Dylan, Harris and Cyrus seemed calm until the man with a very intimidating aura came out of one of the cars. Aria’s eyes widened the moment she finally recognized the alpha whose eyes were already focused on her.

"Mr. President?!" Aria blurts out the moment he met the powerful gaze.

Yoongi and Jungkook bows a little to show respect to the most powerful man in the country but Taehyung remains standing while staring at him.

He couldn't understand why his wolf feels giddy when he saw the man staring at him but it reminds him his wolf's initial reaction when he first met Hoseok too. He took that as a good sign so instead of hiding behind Jungkook, he smiled at the pure blood alpha.

"Good evening Mr. President." Aria greeted him.

"Your photographs don’t do justice to your beautiful eyes. You really grew up beautifully just like her." Raphael said while staring at his niece.

Aria suddenly felt the air become colder. She doesn't know what the president is talking about, hell she doesn't even know if  everything that is going on is real until Cyrus softly squeezes her hand.

"Aria, breathe baby." Cyrus says and it is only then that Aria realized that she was holding her breath.

The omega looks at her mate and when she sure that he won't let go of her hands, she turns to the president.

"Sir I guess you might have mistaken me from someone else because I'm not sure who you're talking about." Aria tried to correct the older man but Raphael just shook his head off as he slowly approached them.

"You were so little when we last saw you and I am so sorry Aria for introducing myself to you like this. I'm Raphael Lancaster and that boy inside that tomb is the boy who died in the fire together with Desmond and Kira Von Dorn- Thomson ." the president said with sad eyes upon remembering the tragic death of his sister and brother-in-law.

Aria’s eyes widened as she heard the familiar name of her parents. She couldn't even remember who told her that since he grew up as an orphan.

The only thing she could remember was that an older woman once told her when she was a child that her parent's names are Desmond and Kira Von Dorn- Thomson and that she is Aria Thomson.

"H-how did you know my parents?" Aria asked, her eyes already shining with tears.

Cyrus’s hand immediately wraps around his mate's waist the moment he feels the rush of emotion taking over the omega.

"Your parents were there when my cousin Cyrus died, Aria." Dylan replied to her instead.

Aria got more confused. Her eyes are now on Cyrus as if her mate is the only one who could tell her what was going on.

"Ria baby....Cyrus died with your parents in the fire. Everyone in the world believed it was you who died in the fire too but fortunately someone managed to take you out of the building that day. Your parents Aria… they didn't just die in their workplace. I'm sorry baby but they were killed by the same person who took my chance to be with my family. Cyrus...that child paid for his father's sins. You are the missing child of Desmond and Kira Von Dorn- Thomson baby. You are the president's Niece, the only remaining heir of the Von Dorn."

You can never hide from the Sun, the Moon and the truth.

That very moment, Aria knew the people in front of her were telling him the truth. Harris and Dylan quietly watched the President taking a slow step towards Aria while Cyrus gently squeezed the cold hands of his mate to assure her that he was there right beside her and whatever she decides to do, he'll be there to support her.

"Aria, it's nice to finally have you back, child." the President  uttered as he opened his arms for the omega.

Raphael had practiced this moment over and over and over in his head but the moment he saw Aria’s deep blue eyes brimming with tears, he just couldn't help but start to tear up too.

"If I am your sister's.....does it mean you are my u-uncle?" Aria finally opens her mouth, her hands gripping her mate's hand because she feels like she's about to pass out when she realized that the most powerful man in their country who's standing in front of her with his arms wide open is  her very own flesh and blood.

If she understood correctly ,the president is her mom's only brother and that only means he's the president's niece.

"Yes Aria, I'm your uncle and you are my niece. I am glad to have you back and that is if it's okay with you?" He hesitated for a while because he saw the tears on Aria’s eyes.

Even Harris didn't expect when Aria suddenly let go of her mate's hand so she could run towards her uncle. She throws herself at the older before burying her face into the crook of his neck.

"I have a family...I...I'm not alone." Aria cried on her uncle's shoulder.

Healing My Seven Broken Beast Mates Novel Cover
9.4
My retirement was finally approved, and I was supposed to be sipping drinks on a sunny beach. Instead, a cold system voice forced me into a nightmare scenario: "Cursed Mates Who Want Me Dead." I woke up in a stinking cave, trapped in the body of a psychopathic tribal princess. The memories that flooded my brain made me sick. The original owner of this body had forcibly marked seven of the continent's most powerful beast-men and reduced them to tortured pets. She had ripped the shimmering scales off Jordi the Merfolk prince, gouged out a proud wolf-man's power crystal, and snapped an eagle-man's magnificent wings. Now, Jordi was a mutilated, terrified mess hiding in a corner. He was so traumatized that he tried to slit his own throat just to escape me. His sister was actively trying to assassinate me. To make matters worse, the system warned me that if I didn't heal these seven ticking time bombs, my soul would be erased. Yet the future timeline clearly showed that these men would eventually unite, burn my tribe to the ground, and dismember me alive. I was paying for a monster's sins. Every time I tried to show mercy, they thought it was a sick new torture method. Words were useless, and my very presence was a trigger. But I am a Tier-S operative, and I don't play the victim. I forced the system to unlock my powers and strapped on my tactical gear. "Stay here and don't starve." I left the trembling Merfolk behind and walked into the deadly primitive forest, heading straight for the powerful Oasis Tribe to take back his stolen scales by force.

Ninety-Nine Times, Then No More Novel Cover
7.3
This was the ninety-ninth time I caught my husband, Chase Vargas, with another woman in our five-year marriage. I stood in the hotel doorway, numb, tired of the cheap perfume and his cold, familiar eyes. But this time, his mistress, a blonde woman, hissed, "He told me all about you. The pathetic wife he's stuck with because of some business deal. He said he can't stand the sight of you." Her words, meant to hurt, were things I already knew, things Chase had made sure I understood. Still, hearing them from a stranger felt like a new humiliation. She lunged, scratching my face, drawing blood. The sting was a surprising jolt in my numb world. I wrote her a check, a routine part of this pathetic scene. Then my phone rang. It was Chase, calling from across the room. "What are you doing? Are you making a scene? Clean it up and get out. You're embarrassing." He thought I had orchestrated this, that I was the embarrassing one. The betrayal was casual, complete. "I'm tired, Chase," I said, the words finally coming from a place I thought had died. "I want a divorce." He laughed, a cruel sound. "A divorce? Elena, don't be ridiculous. You love me too much to ever leave me." I hung up. He then handed me a signed divorce agreement, telling me his true love, June, my adopted sister, was back. He wanted me to play the dutiful wife for her welcome-home concert. My heart, which I thought had turned to stone, felt a final, crushing blow. He wasn't divorcing me because I wanted it. He was divorcing me for her. I signed the papers. The ninety-ninth time was the last time he would do this to me.
