Chapter 3

At two o'clock in the morning, the Silver Risque Club was empty, and both the strippers and the customers had left. However, Richard Howard was still lying in the corner, drunk and groggy. All that remained in his mind was Martina's refreshing figure like a clear spring.

At this time, Martina stood by the bar, looking at Richard's confused appearance, and a hint of worry flashed in her heart. Now that the club was about to be closed, she couldn't let him stay here any longer. And since he drank too much, he might get into unnecessary trouble outside.

"I'll help you find someone to pick him up," Martina said to herself, grabbing Richard's phone and dialing a random number according to the name in the contact book, silently hoping to meet a reliable friend.

After the phone rang a few times, a gentle voice from a man finally came from the other end, "Hello, this is James, is there something wrong?"

"Hello, I'm Martina, Richard is with me, he's drunk, can you come and pick him up?" Martina tried to keep her voice as calm as possible.

"Richard is drunk? This is not common. Well, I'll come right away. James answered quickly, and then hung up the phone.

Not long after, a car stopped at the entrance of the club. A bodyguard immediately opened the car door for James and left after James got out of the car.

When James entered the door and saw Richard drunk and unconscious, he frowned slightly.

"Okay, dude, I'm really ashamed of you." James shook his head, his eyes swept around the room, and then he noticed that Martina was still next to him, so he nodded to her kindly. Martina felt his gaze and looked up in response, smiling politely.

"Hey, thank you for helping me take care of him." James said briefly, then turned to Richard, "Let's go back."

Just as James was taking Richard away, Richard suddenly raised his head, as if he was aware of something, and his eyes fell on Martina. He threw an elusive intuition into her, and there was an unusual light in his deep eyes. "Martina......" he whispered, taking a deep breath as if he had taken some particular interest in her body scent. The scent was mixed with the scent of alcohol, but it was also combined with a fascinating mystery, as if there was an indescribable attraction.

Martina was called by this sound, and her heart was shocked slightly. Although she didn't know why Richard was so concerned about herself, she felt a nervousness and excitement that she had never experienced before, and she couldn't help but start to guess that he might not be an ordinary human.

"I don't want to leave," Richard continued to whisper, a hint of anxiety in his eyes, as if he was dissatisfied with the abrupt intervention.

"Don't worry, I'll help you find fresh air." Martina encouraged. In her gaze, Richard showed a beastly and rebellious pain that made her unable to hide.

Under Martina's whispered persuasion, the tension in the field eased slightly. In the end, she and James work together to put Richard in the passenger seat of his own luxury car.

James looked at Martina's eyes with an inexplicable inquiry. He noticed the special smell in her, reflecting a different intuition from ordinary people. He could not understand why Richard was so interested in this simple waitress.

"Thank you, Martina," James said to her again. By this point, he was able to realize that Martina's influence on Richard seemed to extend beyond alcohol. He began to think about it carefully, but didn't ask it right away.

"It's okay, I just want to make sure he's safe," Martina smiled.

"Do you want to give you a ride?" James asked kindly.

"Thank you, but no. At least I wasn't drunk and didn't need to be taken care of. See you soon. Martina finished speaking and left alone.

James shrugged his shoulders and sat in the driver's seat. Richard sat in the passenger seat, looking at the flickering lights outside the window, his eyes gradually returning to focus. "Follow up."

"Whom to follow up?" James looked puzzled, and the car was still still.

Unexpectedly, Richard's voice showed a hint of impatience.

"She." Richard stared ahead, past James, who seemed to be ignorant, with clear and firm commands, "I want to know where she is, there is something unusual about her."

James' confused expression became even more obvious, and he repeatedly considered Richard's words. Finally, from behind his arrogant brother, he discovers a hint of hidden complex emotions. "Are you sure? Anyway, I don't think you behaved normally just now."

"Anyway, we have to keep up with her." Richard never compromised, his tone tried to be restrained, but while he was in the driver's seat, James vaguely felt a sense of urgent truth.

"Okay." James shrugged, his voice a little tight, and finally decided to respect Richard's choice.

James turned the car keys, and the roar of the engine was particularly clear on the deserted street.

Martina, on the other hand, walks into the future with a lonely and resilient heart.

James' car slowly drove out of the parking lot and followed silently in Martina's direction.
