Chapter 2

Samantha's pov

Tiff kept on rage, baiting the public beside me, I angrily took off the heels I was wearing, I really wanted it to be a lie — I wanted it to be someone else instead of Rob, the tears I had been holding gently slid out my eyes.

“No no no” tiff said grabbing my face and burying it in her chest. “You don't get to cry when he doesn't”.

“But I am heartbroken” I sobbed.

“Then make him heartbroken too”.

“What's that?” I asked raising my head to look at her. She heaved a sigh.

“Girl men? They never learn till you teach them how to, ho do you think I got half of”.

“Of Marcus estate” I cut in.

“At least you're smart,” she giggles. “You know what enough of this shit, we are going to go and have fun like right now, where are your car keys?”.

“Girl I don't…”

“Shhhh…heartbroken with a little of boost of alcohol is gonna send you flying over the edge, trust me girl”

I heave a sigh, there's no arguing with tiff — she always got what she wants and tonight I guess am gonna be partying.

“Hell yeah I think I need that” I suddenly scream and rush forward but the pain from my ankle shoots, I bit my lips to stop my scream jeez that was painful.

“Are you okay?” Tiff asks.

“Yeah am good just got a broken ankle”.

“Let me see” she crouches to check. I quickly move my feet and head towards the car, my ankles are already swollen and I know tiff would definitely take me to the hospital if she saw that which meant missing being drunk.

I had given everything to Rob, my love my virginity everything I abided by the rules each rule he pened down and stuck on the wall of the kitchen I had followed them, lost friends lost family I hadn't visited mom and dad in 5 years and tiff she was the only one who wasn't swayed by his power, she stayed.

“I love you Tiff” I whisper.

She squeezes my hand reassuringly “I love you more”

I lean back on the chair feeling my muscles relax, my phone rings — without much thinking I pick.

“Are you crazy Samantha what do you think you're doing posting my private videos all over social media..am”

I cut the call before he can finish, he cheated and is still worried about his reputation, he sure deserves an award.

“You we could..”

“Tiff let's just go”

Tiff keeps shut and turns up the volume, vibing to the music while I lean back on the car seat letting my consciousness dance before me. I don't know how long passes but the car finally pulls over and tiff taps me.

“We are here!”

I open my eyes slowly to see the name of the bar, Tiffany club

“Tiff you built a bar and you didn't tell me?”

“Chill girl it's just named after me, not like I own it but I might have some shares in it, now lets go party” she screams.

Ahh Tiffany ever cunny, I smile as she takes my hand into the club, the music is so loud I can barely hear what she's saying, strippers on stage and girls entertaining the men.

Reminds me how I met Rob, he'd come to a club I worked at — I needed money for my mother's surgery and a friend had recommended the place stating I could earn more than my mother's surgery money just for being a waitress. I was excited and happy to do it, it was only when I discovered I had been tricked — I was supposed to wait on a man and let him fuck me and that man was Rob, I confessed I was a virgin and he couldn't bring himself to do it. We stayed talking till dawn and after that he payed for my mother's surgery, one thing led to another I got married to him.

“Girl you're lost, maybe a shot of tequila will help” tiff says pulling me to the bar.

“Two shots of tequila”.

The bar attendant gets to work and soon pushes two small glasses to us.

I take one before I am even offered and drown it in one go, tiff chuckles and orders for a hot bottle of alcohol. I don't hear the name but it's pretty much pushed in front of me with some plastic cups.

I drown each cup, completely numb to the heat. My mind retraces the hotel scene again and again.

“Tiff, I think I'm gonna cry” I say.

“No you're not because pretty soon you're gonna be drunk and a hot guy you probably won't remember will be pumping yo ass”. She sing songs drowning another cup.

“You know” I slur “ I think I have a perfect plan to deal with him”.

“Him who?”

“Tiff seriously, that was supposed to be my moment, why do you gotta ruin it”.

“Am sorry but..” she collapses before she can complete it.

Typical of tiff she barely can hold alcohol, I sigh one more time and ignore her as she tries getting up.

“You know he is such a fool he did this to me” she slurs, before I can fathom what she's saying she staggers to the stage and gets a mic.

Her voice booms throughout the club “girl this song is for you and fuck Rob” she screams.

Heart missing cursed headed for the grave

Too far gone to save you, saw my worst.

I listen to the song and chuckle. She's literally singing oxygen, my favourite song and here I thought she was about to blast the mick with some heartbreak douge. When the song reaches my part I quickly rush to the stage and grab a mic.

“So you can bring me back to life like oxygen”

“Feel you rushing in”

“Just one breathe and am deep in your love”

“You're the air that I need in my lungs”.

Minutes later I am literally staggering towards the bar, tiff left with some hot guy after making me sing oxygen on stage — I can barely see clearly I accidentally bump my head on what I don't know. I just apologize and continue moving.

“I think this is the restroom” I mutter and move in, but instead crash on something soft hmm a bed I chuckle and grab what I think is a pillow.

“Who are you?” A deep male voice echoes I turn to look and holy Molly freaking shit it's fucking Diego.

“Diego” I scream “ohh I've been waiting”

I quickly pull off my panties from beneath the gown and toss it aside, “come fuck me”.

“Yuu sound hilarious and where the hell is Rob you know he won't like this” his voice echoes again.

“Rob?” I laugh bitterly”fuck him”

I hear him smirk and come closer”had a fight or something cause last I checked your body doesn't yearn that much for me”.

I don't hear the next thing that comes out of my mouth but I know it's pretty stupid— as I plunge into the darkness I can hear soft buckles.
