Chapter 7

Kayden's POV

I woke up to the feeling of something wet trailing down my neck. Opening my eyes fully, I saw Kayla in my bed, fully naked and concentrated on what she was doing.

"Fuck, no I didn't." I muttered to myself, squeezing my eyes shut.

I couldn't remember much from last night, but apparently a night was had.

"Hey baby." She said as she got on top of me, licking and sucking all over my neck, her boobs grazing my chest in the process. "Care to show me what magic you can do in twenty minutes before I leave?"

Tempting, but I was definitely not in the mood.

"Get off me."

"Come on now," she whined, rotating her hips slowly against me. "You're not gonna leave me hanging, are you? Okay ten minutes."

"I'm not in the mood to fuck you right now, Kayla. Get off."

She stopped moving as a frown formed on her face. "You don't want to fuck or you just don't want to fuck me?"

I rolled my eyes, pushing her off me as I got out of the bed and headed into the shower.

I felt my muscles relax under the hot water, relieving a bit of my stress. Yesterday was a long day.

After dropping Arya off I had gone back to the gala. My father would've had my head if I was nowhere to be found when he searched for me.

I remember having a lot more drinks because there was no way I would've been able to get through that gathering while sober. But I definitely don't remember spending the night with Kayla.

She wasn't even there to begin with. She had left the party earlier on, leaving me alone on the dance floor after a little argument we had. Crazy ass.

I got out of the shower, wrapping a towel around my waist. Kayla was still in my bed, still naked. She was really starting to get on my last nerve.

"Where did you go during the gala last night?" She spoke.

How the hell did she know I left the gala? She wasn't even there at that time. Was she watching me or something?

Ignoring her, I entered my walk-in closet. I decided to work from home today so I just threw on casual grey sweatpants and a loose shirt.

"You're hiding something from me." I heard the sickening voice again. She was so persistent, it was draining.

"I'm not in the mood Kayla, I've said this before."

"You're never in the mood! Don't you love me anymore?" She shouted.

I knew better than to care about the tears that were already beginning to form in her eyes. She was a flawless actor.

I knew she was fucking other guys, maybe even including my brother. What I didn't know was why she thought she had me fooled. Even a blind person could see that this relationship was as good as dead.

"Answer me Kayden."

"Kayla, I'm not gonna have this conversation with you again. Pack your shit and get the fuck out, please."

I walked out without sparing her a glance and headed to the kitchen. I was desperately in need of a coffee.

I turned on the machine and shot a quick text message to Nolan.

K: Yo bro, pull up.

He replied in a few seconds.

N: Ugh my head hurts like a bitch.

How did last night go with Arya?

K: Yeah we definitely need to talk about that. I did something crazy.

N: Ohh fuck no. Not again.

I'm on my way.

I flipped open my laptop to get some work in before he came.

Safe to say last night ended in a cliffhanger.

After I dumped the big M word on Arya, she choked again and stared at me like I had three heads. She got out of the car without even saying a word, just dumbfounded.

Yeah I mean I would too, given that I was a total dick to her the morning after we spent the night together. All credits to my father. He had really pissed me off.

Me driving her home from work the other night was just a way of saying I wasn't so much of a douchebag, given the right circumstance that is.

I know she was confused now, but soon she would get it.

"Is it the girl from before?" Kayla appeared on the kitchen island where I was. She was now fully dressed and ready to leave I hoped.

I could either pretend, or just tell her straight up.

"What girl?" I chose to pretend.

"The bitch that bumped into me the other day." She said, grabbing my coffee. "You go around fucking random bitches now?"

"You're not much of a saint yourself."

"Excuse me? Are you accusing me of cheating?"

"Kayla please." I was already frustrated at this point. "I'm not dumb, and neither do I care who you sleep with."

"I'm not-"

"We both know this isn't real, stop being in denial." I said, getting up from my seat and closing the distance between us. "We're just having fun, no? Don't make it complicated. Just let it be."

"But I love you Kayden." she whispered, throwing an arm around my neck and pressing a kiss on my lips.

"No you don't, you just love it when I fuck you." I smirked.

"Then why don't you fuck me now?" She said seductively as she reached into my pants.

Fuck. There's only so much I can resist.

I grabbed her throat as our lips smashed against each other in pure hunger. She moaned softly, stroking me in my pants as I grew hard under her touch. Kayla could be a pain in the ass but I couldn't deny how skilled she was in the department.

I pushed her back against the kitchen counter as I fumbled with the zip behind her jumpsuit. It was stuck.

"The fuck is this shit?" I sighed in frustration

"Just tear it off." She reached for the zip as well, equally frustrated.

Just then, the door flew open to reveal Nolan.

"Hoooly shit." He threw his hands over his eyes, shutting the door behind him as he walked in. "C'mon man, you have a goddamn bedroom for a reason."

"And you couldn't use the doorbell?"

"For what? What's yours is mine, remember." He smiled sheepishly as he dropped a bag of what I assumed was takeout on the counter. "Heeey Kayla."

She rolled her eyes, picking up her bag as she left the house without saying a word.

"Damn!" Nolan laughed. "She pissed she couldn't get some?"

"Yeah you cockblocked her you prick."

"My bad, my bad." He said as he passed me a burger and fries from the bag.

"Thanks man." I took a seat and dug in.

"So," he started. "What's got your balls in a twist? Hell am I surprised to see Kayla here. Thought y'all were done?"

"So did I man. She just keeps coming back."

"And you keep letting her."

"I mean who can resist that ass bro?"

He threw a bottle of water at me but I dodged it laughing.

"You gotta be serious man. So where does that leave Arya?"

"About that..."

"Oh fuck no. What did you do?" He asked slowly, narrowing his eyes at me.

"I asked her to marry me last night." I confessed as he paused with his mouth open, a piece of meat falling off into his plate.

"You did what now?!"
