Chapter 1

SELENA

"Stay away from my family," I warned him as I gave him a tight slap on the face. I didn't care about the fact that his business associate where in the office currently looking at us with their jaw dropped in shock.

Yes I slapped the well known billionaire Aiden Frazier in his office and I wasn't sorry about it.

I know you might be wondering how I got here and where I got the audacity from to slap such a man and honestly I will tell you without leaving any details out.

It all started a month ago when my father announced that he was getting married to his mistress. The truth was I really didn't care, infact my mother and sister didn't care about it. We were fed up of his useless lifestyle of frolicking with different women.

We even wished him well in his endeavours and didn't attend the wedding but thereafter we started getting into trouble day by day. It started off as just little boys harrassing us and telling us to pay them back what we owed them and then it got serious to them harassing us publicly.

I soon found out from my mother that my dad had loaned some money from some Mafia gang under Aiden Frazier, don't ask me how they even got to meet and discuss about that loan because I don't know. I was more concerned about why me and my sister were getting harrassed and not my dad and his slut, sorry new wife.

I took it upon myself that day to go to my dad's house and find out what the hell was going on because the harassment was getting too much and I feared it might get out of hand too because trust me I wasn't one to be afraid, I always found courage to fight back those men and it didn't always end well for me. I had gotten a lot of bruises on my body due to fighting back.

My dad had apologized to me and reassured me he was going to talk to Aiden Frazier to stay away from us and focus on him but I knew he was lying, I always knew when he was lying. I don't know when he suddenly became like this, so foolish.

I went home that day raining curses on him and his new wife, I was this close to beating her when she said I wasn't lady like but I just decided to leave in annoyance. When I got back home I knew today was going to be the day.

My mother's little shop had been demolished and when I say demolish, I mean it. I am not exaggerating here so you should get a hint of where my anger started from, I stood in front of the shop staring at my mother on the floor crying her eyes out and my younger sister Brianna consoling her to remain calm and not cry anymore.

How could they do this? This was going too far, my mother's shop was our livelihood. This shop was our source of income and they just demolished it like it was nothing, I bent down to console my mother because I knew it would be stupid of me to start crying as well. I had to be strong for her and I tried to be until I noticed her cheeks were red.

Why were they red? What else did I miss?

"Who did this to you?" I asked touching her face as she winced in pain.

"I tried to stop them but they shoved me off and slapped mum twice in the face," Brianna explained crying.

How could they do that to my own mother? I didn't know when I rose up on my feet and left them alone there, I could hear my mother calling out to me but I paid no attention to her.

I took a taxi with the little change left with me straight to his company, he was a well known man so his company wasn't so hard to find. If my father couldn't talk to him then I would do so.

When I got to the company I felt out of place when I stepped in, everyone was dressed in suit. Not like I couldn't dress like that but it wasn't like I planned to be here by this time. So, I was dressed in a T shirt and tight jean.

I approached the receptionist desk and made enquiry about Aiden Frazier and how I could meet him but instead I got a repulsive look from her as she scanned my outfit from head to toe kissing her teeth silently.

"Do you have an appointment?" she asked me already looking at her computer so I could give her my name.

"I need to see him now," I demanded but she only laughed in my face annoying me the more.

"So, you don't have an appointment, should I place one across or will you just leave?"

I stared at her for a while debating what I should do next and trust me I wasn't thinking straight when I ran into the building and straight to the elevator.

I concluded the receptionist was a foolish woman because she decided to circle her desk and chase after me than call security on me. By the time she was done circling her chair and trying to catch up with me i was already in the elevator and on my way to the last floor which I suspected was where he was.

I got to the last floor and wasted no time in going into all the rooms, opening the door as quickly as I could, scanning the room for Aiden Frazier and moving on to the next.

It didn't take long when the receptionist caught on to me but she was too late, I was already at the last door.

"What is wrong with you?" she yelled at me trying to get me away from the door but I shoved her off me stepping inside. I scanned the room and caught sight of Aiden Frazier sited far off, it seemed they were having a meeting because they all turned to stare at me and the receptionist.

"Forgive me Sir, I tried to stop her," I heard her begging.

I walked up to his seat without hesistating, how could you be here having a meeting and dining while my mother was crying her eyes out.

I slapped him right in the face. His left cheek to be precise.

"Stay away from my family," I warned him slapping him again right on that same cheek.
