Chapter 1

I bring Selena Bloomberg home because I find her pitiful, and I treat her very well as if she were my own younger sister.

However, I didn't think that she would end up impersonating me as the Bloomberg family's heiress and kill me afterward before getting rid of my body.

Now that I am reborn, I refuse to let the same tragedy happen again. I swear that I will make her pay.

An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth!

I went downstairs to empty the trash can.

It was then that I noticed a global limited-edition Lamborghini parked in the corner of the street and shaking viciously.

I wasn't the least bit surprised. Calmly, I whipped out my phone and took a recording of the entire process inside before sending the video straight to the biggest tabloid news agency in the world.

"I want the whole world to have watched this video by 7:00 pm tomorrow," I said.

In my last life, Selena Bloomberg, the orphan I'd taken pity on and brought home with me, had usurped and stolen my identity as the rightful heiress to the Bloomberg family.

Why, one might ask? It was because she was my cousin, Justin Bloomberg's, favorite "cousin".

It had been a banquet held to celebrate the Bloomberg heiress' birthday that night, but Selena and Justin both stopped me from attending it. Concurrently, they somehow flipped the public opinion against me.

"You're nothing but a lowly orphan, Sabrina Bloomberg! You have no right to appear at this place!" Justin yelled.

"I am the rightful Bloomberg heiress, you hear me?" Selena added. "As for you, maybe you should consider pissing off back to your kennel and stop embarrassing the rest of the family!"

In my last life, I had been wary of Justin's wrath, so I kept giving in to Selena's demands.

But now, I'd been given a second chance at life.

The night after the banquet was a continuation of the celebration. When I saw Selena still trying to stop me at the entrance to the hall, I raised my leg and kicked her to the ground.

"Who the hell do you think you are to be getting in my way?" I say.

I then shot a glance at Enid Murphy, the maid next to us. I said, "What are you still doing, standing there like an idiot? Take this imposter and throw her out!"

Everyone on the scene was so shocked that they froze in place.

Nobody thought that I, the always quiet, always docile person, would dare to lay a finger on Selena.

Enid quickly went to help Selena up. But when she looked back at me, there was fear in her eyes.

"Ms. Sabrina, you can't do this to Ms. Selena. What if Mr. Bloomberg finds out and loses his temper?"

Enid knew very well that I was the real heiress, but she still treated me as if I wasn't.

I yelled, "Drill this into your mind! The Bloombergs only have one daughter, and that is me, Sabrina Bloomberg!"

Enid shook hard from the shock and hung her head low, not daring to make another sound.

I stormed up to her and slapped her right on the cheek. "I can't believe that you don't even know who your true master is. What's the point of keeping you, then? Get out of my sight!"

In my last life, Enid had been rude and disrespectful toward me because she saw that Mom and Dad weren't often home. She also often threatened me with Justin.

Later on, Selena had Enid find someone to disfigure my face before killing me and hiding my body away.

Enid just did everything Selena told her to and thus became her loyal lapdog.

But now, Enid was kneeling on the ground, still reeling from fright at my sudden burst of anger.

She somehow managed to say, "I'm just carrying out Ms. Selena's orders. How dare you hit me?

"If Mr. Bloomberg hears about this, he'll never forgive you for it!"

At that moment, Selena started putting on a show to get everyone else's empathy. She helped Enid to her feet and started scolding me like I was her disobedient younger sister.

"You're acting just like a lowly orphan who got picked up from the streets again. Even though you've lived in the Bloomberg household for years, you still haven't been able to get rid of your bad habit of lying and framing other people for your own wrongdoings!"

Selena's best friend, Lacey Crawford, hurriedly stepped up and wrapped her hands around Selena's arm. She then looked at me with anger and disgust in her eyes.

"You're such a shameless brat! How dare you be so ungrateful to the Bloombergs and also ruin Selena's birthday celebration by accusing other people of things they never did?"

The guests at the party began whispering among themselves.

"She's just some random orphan from the streets that the Bloombergs took pity upon. How could she behave like an ingrate and bite the hand that fed her?"

"I heard that the Bloombergs treated her really well, too—like she was their own daughter. Ms. Selena also treats her like her own sister, giving her half of everything she owns."

"She's just a street rat with no parents, yet she still thinks of stealing Ms. Selena's heiress title from her. She must be sick of living."

Those people just didn't know the truth.

I was the one who had asked Mom and Dad to bring Selena home with us because I thought she looked quite pitiful.

As Selena grew up, she learned how to sugar-coat her words so that people loved her more. That was also the reason why Justin liked her so much.

In fact, Justin would only ever bring her out to elite parties and gatherings while he locked me up at home, forbidding me from ever showing my face at such events.

Eventually, everyone thought that Selena was the real Bloomberg heiress, while I was the mere orphan.

Since I had now been given another shot at life, I decided that I wasn't going to stay quiet any longer.

My father, Ralph Bloomberg, was a trillionaire with assets worth as much, and nobody ever dared to go against his word in the upper-crust society of Jadington.

People often referred to him as "Sir Ralph".

Meanwhile, my mother, Christina Dawson, was an internationally celebrated movie actress who had won multiple prestigious awards for her work.

A single word from my parents was more than enough to destroy the livelihoods of half the guests currently present at the venue. So, why should I continue letting my cousin and an impostor continue taking advantage of me?

I glanced around the people present and finally locked my gaze on Lacey. I could feel the anger bursting from my chest as I clenched my fists.

"Your dad's international company was only established because he got on his knees and begged my dad for three days and three nights straight before getting his first investment. Why don't you ask him if he'd dare to interfere in our family matters?"

Lacey, unable to accept that I'd just insulted and humiliated her in public, stormed up to me to slap me.

However, I grabbed her wrist and slapped her right back before she could even touch me.

Her face scrunched up in anger at once. Her lower jaw quivered as she growled, "You… You brat! How dare you slap me?"

Selena looked around the hall and yelled, "Security! Where's the security team when you need them?"

The security guards had only just started toward us when I quickly shot them a death glare, my gaze so sharp that none of them dared to take another step toward me.

"I am the Bloomberg family's only heiress! Who dares to lay a finger on me?"

Selena was worried that people would start believing me. So, she quickly covered up her anxiety by accusing me of impersonation first.

"Sabrina Bloomberg! The whole world knows that you're nothing but a beggar on the streets whom Dad picked up! Did you really think that you could flip the script and sway the public into believing your lies? In your dreams!"

Everyone present nodded their heads, agreeing with Selena.

"Ms. Selena has a point. Every time there's a social event, Ms. Selena is the one accompanying Mr. Justin Bloomberg. None of us has ever seen you before."

"We were supposed to be celebrating Ms. Selena's birthday tonight, but who would have thought that a street beggar would come and ruin everything for her?"

I chuckled coldly when I heard them.

I then turned around to my personal maid, Sandy Winston, and said, "Go and get my dear cousin now. Tell him that Selena Bloomberg, the street beggar Dad picked up, is impersonating the real Bloomberg heiress and tarnishing the Bloomberg family's name.

"Is he not worried that Selena's going to end up being despised by everyone she meets after this?"

Sandy hesitated. She knew that Justin had always favored Selena over me. He had even invested millions—if not billions—of dollars in her and helped her become a world-famous influencer.

Selena was the one who always bullied me at home. But each time, Justin would take her side no matter what. He would then chide me for being difficult and impossible, lock me up, starve me, and then force me to publicly apologize to Selena before finally letting me off the hook.

"Just go. I'll take responsibility for anything that happens," I said.

It was only then that Sandy was willing to leave.

Selena just laughed at me without a care. "Sabrina, have you forgotten all the lessons he's taught you over the years? Don't you remember all the punishments he doled out to you every time you crossed me?"

Selena always treated me as a pushover and never took me seriously because she knew that Justin favored her.

In my past life, Selena told Enid to splash acid over my face, and I'd then called Justin for help.

However, he refused to believe me and yelled at me through the phone for falsely accusing Selena of it. He even told me that I was welcome to take my own life, but I had better keep my distance from her while I did it.

In the end, I was sent to the depths of despair as Selena got a group of people to beat me to death and throw my body into the freezing river.

But now that I had a second chance at life, I was going to make them all pay for their sins in kind.
