Chapter 1

The wealthy Hanson family makes it clear that whichever sister gives birth to the family's first grandson will inherit the billion-dollar fortune.

In my previous life, my sister, under our parents' arrangement, married the strong and healthy third son, Jerome Hanson.

I, on the other hand, was given to the gloomy eldest son, Lester Hanson, whose legs were paralyzed.

Under my treatment, Lester regained full use of his legs. I became pregnant with the Hanson family's first grandson.

Meanwhile, my sister was driven to madness by Jerome's abuse, becoming the laughingstock of every wealthy woman's dinner gossip.

On the day I went into labor, my sister stabbed my belly with a knife. Then, she pulled me off a rooftop with her.

Now, in this life, we start over.

The moment Lester sends over a golden bridal bouquet, my sister snatches it without hesitation.

"I want to marry Lester!" she declares.

"Abbie! How could you snatch Eliana's bouquet?"

Just as my sister, Abbie Gibson, reached for the extravagant golden bouquet, her hand froze midair at Dad's scolding.

Dad took the bouquet from her and placed it into my hand instead. "Eliana, you're in good health. Mr. Lester may have trouble walking, but at least he has a good reputation."

As he spoke, he stroked Abbie's head with doting affection. "Abbie, you've always been frail. Marrying Mr. Jerome is the best option for you."

Looking down at the golden bouquet and the wedding gown I was wearing, I dug my nails into my palm. The pain made me realize that I had been reborn.

In my past life, I went along with my parents' wishes and let Abbie, who was frail, marry Jerome Hanson, the strong and healthy third son of the Hanson family.

Yet, in the end, she barged into my delivery room like a mad woman, screaming with a knife in her hand.

"Why do you get to give birth to the Hansons' first grandson, while I'm locked away in a mental hospital? I won't accept it!"

Covered in blood from her stabbing, I was dragged to the edge of the rooftop. Even then, Abbie's voice still echoed in my ears.

"Eliana, you were only meant to be trampled under my feet."

And now, Abbie snatched the golden bouquet. Twisting one of the gold-threaded petals between her fingers, she smiled, saying, "Dad, I don't care. I'm marrying Mr. Lester."

Just from that sentence, I was certain Abbie had been reborn, too.

Unable to argue with Abbie, our parents looked at me with conflicted looks. I understood that gaze for sure.

Growing up, I was never allowed to outperform Abbie in school. Whatever nice things she wanted, I had to give them up for her.

Even when it came to marrying into the Hanson family to bear their first grandson, they were eager to hand the healthier groom to her.

"Let's switch places if that's what Abbie wants. The Hansons only care about who will bear their first grandson, anyway."

As always, I kept a calm expression and accepted the bouquet of gardenias sent by Jerome.

Two cars were waiting outside.

One was a Rolls-Royce from Lester Hanson, the eldest son of the Hanson family. The path leading up to it was lined with flowers and a red carpet.

The other was a modest sports car from Jerome, which looked plain and unadorned.

Just before we got into our respective wedding cars, veils in place, Abbie glanced at the bouquet in my hands and sneered. "Eliana, don't say I didn't warn you. Mr. Jerome may look strong, but I've heard that he's impotent."

She lifted the bouquet and took a deep breath of satisfaction. "Mr. Lester has really put in the effort. Even the golden bouquet he sent has a unique scent to it."

Being bathed in envy and admiration from the crowd, she held her head high and strode forward.

I took half a step back and held my breath. "Well, then, I wish you everything you've ever wanted, Abbie."
