The Hockey Alpha's Therapist Novel Cover

The Hockey Alpha's Therapist

"Is $10,000 for one night's pay not enough? Just tell me and I'll raise it, whatever you want it to be. But you must be prepared to provide 'service' whenever and wherever I want it. Do you get it?" In an era where humans and werewolves coexist, Quinn becomes the fated mate of an Alpha and a very famous ice hockey player, Grayson. For Quinn, who is a massage therapist with a lot of debt, Grayson may keep booking her to do 'service' because he knows she needs the money to pay off her debts and to pay for her younger brother's treatment at the hospital. But for Grayson, who finally found his fated mate, Quinn is not just a therapist who fulfills his superstition, but also someone who is precious to him and needs to be protected before she's taken by another Alpha who also wants her. *** Disclaimer: all characters, terminology, locations, and so on are purely the author's imagination. Chapter 3

**Quinn's POV**

"Come in," he said coldly.

Oh my gosh, what did I just witness?

A sexy outfit that almost landed on my face, Grayson with a woman who looked a bit like me but with a sexier body, both of them naked, and the drama of the sexy woman being kicked out.

Oh, what kind of scene was that! Or maybe I came at the wrong time? Maybe Grayson canceled the appointment on my way here? Oh, if that's true, then I'm done. My phone was dead, so I didn't know if he sent me a new message.

"I... I'll leave now. Sorry, I didn't know you sent a message to cancel," I said, my courage fading. I was about to close the door when Grayson finally spoke.

"Who canceled? Close the door and come with me."

Based on the situation and what I witnessed earlier, I think if I continue with the therapy, it will feel very awkward. Maybe it would be better if I canceled it.

But if I don't do the treatment on Grayson tonight, I'll lose those 10,000 dollars and also the transportation costs to get here.

Plus, there are debts and other needs that need to be met this month. Argh, what should I do?

"Why are you still standing there?"

Ugh, screw what I saw earlier. That's Grayson's business with that woman, not mine.

Yes, I don't need to be afraid. If I don't upset him, he won't be angry with me, right?

So I plucked up the courage to follow him. He entered a room that I guessed was his bedroom.

Once again, I was shocked. This time by the condition of his bedroom. It was a complete mess.

Pillows, blankets, mattresses, sheets, everything was piled up with tissues, empty condoms, and lubricant next to them.

This looked more like a place that had just been used for a sex party than a bedroom.

"I didn't have time to clean it, and there's no maid living here. So just ignore it. Adjust yourself."

I was even confused about how I could adjust. Because as soon as I stepped in, I stepped on an empty condom that belonged to Grayson.

This was a situation I never imagined I would experience in my entire life. Being in the bedroom of a famous hockey player after he had hot sex with a call woman he bought.

It's no surprise that werewolves sleep with many people before meeting their fated mate, and humans do the same before they get married, but still... being in that situation directly feels very different, it's more weird and awkward.

But it seems like I'm the only one tense here because Grayson is already lying on his bed, folding his arms across his chest, and staring at me intensely.

Maybe, I need to lighten the mood. And the sooner I perform the massage on him, the sooner I can leave this situation.

"How was the last treatment, sir, uh, I mean, Grayson?"

"It was not bad," he replied briefly, his voice still cold.

Oh my gosh, if this is how it's going to be, I might just freeze up here.

So I hurriedly took out my equipment, such as lotion, towels, some aromatherapy oils, and aromatherapy candles to relax his mind. Hopefully, that way he wouldn't be angry anymore. So I could get paid smoothly and go home.

"I'll start the massage. Please lie down a little," I tried to give instructions. But Grayson didn't move, staying in place while still looking at me with an expression I couldn't interpret.

Oh, maybe I wasn't clear enough, I thought. So I opened my mouth again, "Can you lie down a little?"

"You know, I must have sex before the game so I can perform at my best and score the most points to help my team win," he said clearly and firmly.

Meanwhile, I stood frozen in place and accidentally dropped one of the bottles of aromatherapy oil. I... didn't hear that wrong, did I?

"Superstition. You know those kinds of things? What do you think?"

My opinion? He's asking me about the sexual activities he has to do before a game?

Of course, I think it's weird and has nothing to do with winning or losing. I don't believe in such things.

But if I answered like that, maybe I would be kicked out right now for ruining his mood. So instead of being honest, I lied.

"Is that what werewolves usually do? I don't really understand superstitions or anything related to that, but maybe something like that is normal for werewolves. So I don't have a problem with it because it's your right to use your money to hire someone to have sex with," I replied quickly in one breath.

"But it's not just sex, and boom, I win the next day."

Oh really, he still wants to talk about it? I want to cover my ears right now.

"Then?" I asked as I began massaging his arm.

"I had to cum, that's how my superstition was fulfilled. But unfortunately, I couldn't cum with that woman earlier."

I closed my eyes for a moment before continuing what I was doing. Honestly, that information bothered me. Why was he telling me, a complete stranger, about this?

I wouldn't even know that a great player like Grayson had such a superstition behind his victories if he hadn't told me this. I might have just assumed that he hired that woman for a one-night stand and that was it.

"Maybe you could still win without doing it," I said, trying not to sound rude.

"No. I actually need someone right now to have sex with me until I cum. Why do you think I paid you, just an ordinary therapist, 10 thousand dollars? For a few hours of massage?"

I reflexively let go of his arm and stepped back.

Wait, something's wrong here.

"The service I'm talking about isn't just a regular massage, it's more than that. And tomorrow's game is an important game as the opener of the regular season to determine the team standings, so my team can't lose, I have to score a lot of points."

So, indirectly, Grayson was paying me 10,000 dollars to have sex with him until he cum, instead of treating him like before? Then he was out of line!

Did he think I was a prostitute who could be paid to sleep with him? I wasn't like that!

"Sir, my role here is as a massage therapist, not as a sexual partner you can pay to come whenever you want," I said angrily and frustratedly.

I immediately packed all my things and put them in a bag, which I then carried.

I wanted to hit myself in the head because I finally realized that Grayson had a lot of money that he could use for anything, including planning this from the start, inviting me to have sex instead of regular therapy.

I truly regretted not listening to my gut feeling that something was off from the very beginning when I answered his call.

"Oh, so you don't want to? Then you can refuse and leave without taking the 10,000 dollars." He stood up in his bathrobe and walked toward the door. I followed him immediately.

Argh, I hate this situation.

After all, my pride comes first.

But... if I prioritize my pride, I won't be able to eat tomorrow, I won't even be able to buy water, and I'll have to walk home from here because I don't have a single penny in my wallet.

But if I accept Grayson's crazy offer, then I... have to give up my virginity. I've never had sex before, even though I've been in relationships before.

The 10,000 dollars would really help me pay off my debts and monthly expenses for this month, as well as cover my brother's hospital bills. I also wouldn't be hounded by debt collectors at least until next month, and that would really help ease my mind.

But to get that money, I'd have to have sex with Grayson.

I truly thought hard about it for a while. Then I mustered the courage to look at him. Our eyes met. He looked at me with one eyebrow raised. Maybe he thought I wouldn't refuse.

And he was right, I couldn't refuse this offer that wouldn't come twice. An offer that was very tempting, even though I had to pay for it with my body.

I pulled the bathrobe he was wearing, "I agree, but you have to transfer the money to my account first. Only then will I have sex with you."

"No problem," he replied, sounding satisfied with a smirk and a gaze that seemed ready to devour me.

I season a slab of purple mutant steak until Sam, a battle-scarred grizzly shifter, groans at the taste—and his trust points finally tick above zero. My retirement was finally approved, and I was supposed to be sipping drinks on a sunny beach. Instead, a cold system voice forced me into a nightmare scenario: "Cursed Mates Who Want Me Dead." I woke up in a stinking cave, trapped in the body of a psychopathic tribal princess. The memories that flooded my brain made me sick. The original owner of this body had forcibly marked seven of the continent's most powerful beast-men and reduced them to tortured pets. She had ripped the shimmering scales off Jordi the Merfolk prince, gouged out a proud wolf-man's power crystal, and snapped an eagle-man's magnificent wings. Now, Jordi was a mutilated, terrified mess hiding in a corner. He was so traumatized that he tried to slit his own throat just to escape me. His sister was actively trying to assassinate me. To make matters worse, the system warned me that if I didn't heal these seven ticking time bombs, my soul would be erased. Yet the future timeline clearly showed that these men would eventually unite, burn my tribe to the ground, and dismember me alive. I was paying for a monster's sins. Every time I tried to show mercy, they thought it was a sick new torture method. Words were useless, and my very presence was a trigger. But I am a Tier-S operative, and I don't play the victim. I forced the system to unlock my powers and strapped on my tactical gear. "Stay here and don't starve." I left the trembling Merfolk behind and walked into the deadly primitive forest, heading straight for the powerful Oasis Tribe to take back his stolen scales by force.
