Chapter 2

I forcibly woke him up and asked what was going on with the hotel room key. At that point, he was already starting to get irritated.

"What room key?"

I showed him the key.

He casually tossed it into the trash and said, without a care, "It’s probably from some actress during a game or something."

He tried to pull me back into bed with him.

But I grabbed my blanket and left the room.

……

By the time he woke up, it was already evening, and I had just returned from the office.

I asked if we could finally have a serious talk. He sat down, motioning for me to go ahead.

"Felix, I want to go public with our relationship. This secret romance is exhausting."

It was like I had stepped on a landmine. He immediately exploded.

"No way! This is the peak of my career. How could I go public with a relationship? If the fans find out, all my hard work will be for nothing!"

I did not understand. He could not go public with me, yet he could have rumors swirling about him and other women.

"That’s all just for the storyline, you know? It’s different with you."

He tried to reassure me, telling me to give him two more years. After that, he promised he would make our relationship public.

"Two years? But I might not have that long."

He laughed, as if I had said something ridiculous, and asked why I could not wait. I had already waited a year, so what was the harm in waiting a bit longer?

He even swore to it.

I swallowed everything else I had wanted to say.

Felix stayed home for two or three days before heading back to the set.

"Emma, feel free to drop by if you want to visit me on set!"

Watching him leave, I instructed my assistant to investigate the woman he was currently rumored with. I wanted her full background.

Before my assistant could get the details, the woman sent me a friend request herself.

"I’m Felix’s girlfriend."

I stared at the request and accepted it. I was curious to see what kind of two-faced person I was dealing with.

After I accepted, she bombarded me with photos. There were pictures of her holding hands with Felix, pictures of him sleeping, and even one of him in bed. He was shirtless, with only a blanket covering him.

The room in the photo was pink and girly, clearly a woman’s space.

"You must be the ‘sister’ Felix talks about, right? We’re both women. I know you like him too, but we’re together now. Please stop hanging around him with that ridiculous ‘sister’ excuse."

I clenched my fists and asked if she even knew who I was.

She did not respond.

I immediately drove to Felix’s set, bringing a bunch of food. When I arrived, I handed out the food to everyone.

Instead of going directly to Felix, I went to see the director.

I gave him the woman’s background information, and the moment he saw me, he was incredibly respectful.

"I don’t like her, and I definitely don’t want her doing any scenes with Felix. Replace her."

The director quickly arranged for her to be removed.

I then went to Felix’s room, but when I pushed open the door, there was a woman with him.

She was cozily wrapped around Felix in an intimate way.

When Felix saw me, he immediately pushed the woman aside and rushed over to greet me.

"Emma, you’re here already!"

Since I walked in, my attention had been solely focused on that woman.

Felix hurriedly pulled her over to introduce her.

"This is Zia Bailey. She’s the lead actress in this drama. We were just rehearsing."

Zia gave me a smug look and tried to act overly friendly, as if we were close.

"You can cut the fake friendliness. My parents didn’t raise me to fall for that," I said.

At that moment, her agent came in and called her out of the room.
