The Cursed Alpha's Luna: Sold to the beast
"Fuck", I gasped when Kaelen suddenly tore me away from his skin, panting heavily.
My fingers shivered.
My mind refused to let go of the taste of his lips.
I...
I just... kissed the beast.
What the fuck just happened?

Chapter 6
~ Mirella's POV ~
The only thing my mind could think of was to get out of this godforsaken place, but my mind was somehow disconnected from my body.
No matter how many times I tried to move, my feet stayed rooted to the ground.
"Do you plan to wait a little after your wedding or-"
"Call the doctors as we speak", I heard Kaelen's chilling reply. "Tell them we've found a new subject that we'll use. I'll get them whatever they want. I must be healed at cost - even if it means ripping her open."
The thought of unknown men tearing my stomach open forced a gasp out of my voice.
My mind was reading danger.
I forced myself to get away from the door, but I ended up missing my leg and kicking a vase to the ground.
I couldn't see their faces, I knew I'd gotten the attention of the darkness in that room.
I could feel it.
"Is there anyone there?", I heard the old man's voice. "Show yourself immediately."
I felt my heart threatening to burst through my chest. Shadows kept getting larger and closer to the door, each step I heard making it known to me that I wasn't getting out of this alive.
Until it suddenly stopped.
"I'm sure it's just the wind", I heard Kaelen tell his old man. "Put your focus on the conversation.
Was that the Moon Goddess trying to give me a second chance to live?
As I saw the shadow return back to its original state, I didn't miss the chance to force my body away from the door.
I knew I suffered in my father's pack, but at least I was sure I was going to live.
Each second I spent in here, made the thread my life was hanging on, thinner.
I didn't bother getting into the room I came out of. I didn't have a plan. Just a will to live.
I was about to run down the hallway to get downstairs when I heard female voices and light shadows coming up the stairs.
Shit.
I needed to hide!
I frantically pivoted and barged into an open room, hoping it wasn't occupied.
I shut the door immediately and pushed all my weight on it when I saw it was without a lock.
"It's still a shock to me that Alpha Kaelen came back without having a single taste of blood to feed his cursed wolf..." I heard low echoes of their voices as they passed the door.
"With the way it kept getting worse each time he was possessed, I was scared he wasn't going this one."
"And... Do you have an idea who that lady is that he brought in his arms with him? Do you know if she had anything to do with his sudden return back to normalcy?"
"I don't, but if I were her, I'd run for my life. Every woman he'd come in contact with barely ever lived to tell the story. Whatever she does with him, she's going to get destroyed."
"Just the same way he destroyed his last woman..."
Wait... what?
My eyes widened in shock as their voices faded into the darkness ahead of them.
The same person who gently held my hand and begged me to be his Luna, destroyed his last woman?!
I was tired and weak. My head was still throbbing from the way I was flung to the tree. But the maidens' stories were enough motivation for me to get out of the palace while I still had my life in my hands.
Slowly, I found my way down the stairs when I was sure they were gone. It was deep in the night, and I could tell everyone was fast asleep, save for the guards I knew would be paroling outside.
Going through the front door would be as good as leading myself to the slaughter house, so I had to think of the next best exit route, and I needed to do that fast.
If only I knew where another exit could be located at...
Wait.
"The kitchen"
I remembered that every royal palace had an exit route through the kitchen instead of only the main door for the children and maid to get out through in case of trouble.
There must be another door leading outside in the kitchen. But what if there was someone in the kitchen? What explanation was I going to give?
Sending a little prayer to the Moon Goddess, I walked into the kitchen and to my surprise, no one was there. I looked around for a door, and soon sighted one at the extreme end of the kitchen.
I hurried over and I twisted the doorknob, hoping it wasn't locked.
It gave way.
Maybe the Moon Goddess did answer prayers.
I walked through the door and the cold night wind blew across my face.
Freedom.
Now, all i needed to do was to jump the fence.
I knew my life was as good as over if that beast caught his new lab subject trying to run away, but this was the only hope I had to live.
I took some steps back to gain enough speed to take me over the fence. I'd never done this before, but it couldn't be that hard.
"1... 2... 3..."
I immediately ran across the building to the fence and just as I was about to get my limbs all over the fence, I felt a strong force from nowhere drag me down to the ground.
****
What just happened?
How did I get to the ground?
I met the ground with so much force, pain rippled through my whole system. For a full minute, I lay sprawled on the ground, finding it impossible to understand what just happened.
I was in the process of dusting myself when I saw shadows of three hefty men cover my figure as they towered over me from behind.
I immediately stood up to face them and saw that two of them were wolf guards, while the other was the demon I'd grown to dread...
Kaelen.
My eyes widened in realization and fear as I immediately turned pale, knowing that I was in big trouble. Just when I was about to escape, Kaelen got a hold of me.
Shit.
I was relieved when he seemed undisturbed by the vase he heard me shatter.
How did he get here? And why this place, of all places?
"How did... But when did you...", I couldn't get standard sentences out of my quivering lips as I stared from the guards to the prince, avoiding his fiery gaze.
"It's too late to be wandering around, don't you think?" His deep voice caused the ground beneath me to shake.
"Kaelen, I can explain. I swear it's not what you think-"
"You never cease to amaze me. You're full of surprises", he muttered with an emotionless expression.
K...Kaelen, please-"
"Take her upstairs, to my room", he ordered the guards. "She just woke up from a coma, and she needs as much rest as can get." and in one swift swoop, I was lifted off the ground, my legs flying in the air, pleading for mercy.

One moment I was human, sixteen years old and in love, believing my life would follow a simple, ordinary path. The next, I was taken from everything I knew and thrown into Silverwood Academy, a hidden world where wolf shifters rule, magic breathes, and survival is never guaranteed.
They see me as an anomaly. A girl who should not exist.
My mark is rare, dangerous, and tied to an ancient bloodline that was meant to stay buried. It binds me to a goddess who gives power without mercy and a destiny no one walks away from unchanged.
At Silverwood, strength decides your worth. Alphas test me. Rivals hunt me. Teachers watch, waiting for me to fail. Every full moon pushes me closer to a power I do not fully understand and a future I never asked for.
And then there is love, complicated and cruel in the way only fate can be.
I am torn between the boy I loved as a human, a bond so strong it refuses to break even after death, and a dangerous pull toward a wolf who challenges me, pushes me, and makes me question who I am becoming.
Each choice costs something. Every secret carries blood. The more power I gain, the more I risk losing myself.
They want me to be a weapon. A leader. A legend written in moonlight and war.
But I do not want a throne or a prophecy.
I just want to survive the fate that marked my soul.
Because in this world, destiny is not a gift. It is a debt, and it always demands payment

My fated mate, Alpha Kaden, watched me die slowly for three years while he groomed his mistress. When our pup withered and died inside me due to his neglect, he publicly accused me of murder. That was the day I stopped dying for him and started living to defy him.
The Pack Healer confirmed our pup's soul returned to the Goddess; Kaden's weakened bond was literally killing me, forcing a procedure to remove the last physical tether. Immediately after, Kaden returned with Cori Mullins, his 'true love', and found me. He snarled accusations I'd destroyed his heir-a lie Cori eagerly reinforced.
He dismissed my cries that he killed our baby, believing their narrative. My inner wolf gave a final gurgling howl as necrosis spread, and he swallowed Cori's lie that she, not me, saved him from rogues. I looked into his eyes and saw only disgust; he deemed my pain a performance, blind to the bond rotting me.
Realizing he would never believe me, I formally rejected him as my Mate. He laughed, dismissed it as a tantrum, and refused to accept. But as he walked away, leaving me to die, I vowed to reclaim my life. I vanished into the night, determined to live for myself, whatever the deadly cost.

In the Kingdom of Everspire, a celestial omen appears once every thousand years, the Blood Moon Prophecy. It chooses one woman to mate-bond with five Alpha wolves, each ruling a different pack. If she fails to unite them, the kingdom will fall to the Void Beasts that hunt in the shadows. This year, it chose me, and all five of my fated Alpha mates rejected our bond.
I was the packless wolfless orphan no one wants.
They don't know I'm the Silver Phantom, the realm's most feared masked rogue wolf who's slaughtered corrupt Alphas for a decade.
They don't know I'm the Last Moonblood, heir to the ancient Celestial Pack that was supposed to be exterminated. They don't know I'm a True Alpha-stronger than any wolf alive-who's mastered nine ancient powers: primal magic, battle strategy, healing arts, divine shifting, and more.
And they definitely don't know I'm the only one who can stop the Demon King of the Void from breaking through and destroying all shifter-kind.
The Crown Prince Alpha thought bonding with me would weaken his bloodline.
Now he corners me in the hallways, his voice low and desperate "You belong to me, Lysandra. At my side. In my bed. Under my protection. Your wolf calls to mine-don't you dare deny what burns between us."
The General Alpha believed I'd be a liability on the battlefield.
Now he drops to one knee before me after I ended a war he couldn't win, his eyes burning gold. "I was a god-damned fool. You're not just my mate. You're my Alpha. My equal in everything. I'll kill anyone who tries to take you from me. Say you'll stay."
The Grand Sorcerer Alpha was convinced I had no wolf, no power, nothing became obsessed. "Your power passes mine. You're Mine. I've searched centuries for a mate worthy of me, and you've been here all along. Don't you dare hide from me again."
The Merchant Heir Alpha called me forgettable. Now he traces the scars on my face like they're sacred. "I was blind and stupid. You're the most exquisite creature I've ever seen. Let me spend eternity proving I'm worthy of you. Let me worship you the way I should have from the moment we met."
The Shadow Guardian Alpha refused to even acknowledge my existence.
Now he stalks me through the darkness, his voice a rough whisper against my neck. "I've hunted you for years without knowing my prey was my mate. You're the only wolf strong enough to stand beside me. The only one I'll ever submit to. You own me, little phantom. Whether you accept it or not."
And now all five of them are obsessed with me.
Possessive and Feral with need.
Too bad I'm the one in control now.
And I have a Demon King to kill.

In my previous life, while I was screaming in labor, my Alpha husband was too busy comforting his mistress to answer his phone.
My son died gasping for air.
But Graves didn't grieve. Instead, he dragged me out of my recovery bed because his mistress, Alex, claimed to have "silver poisoning."
He commanded the doctors to cut me open right there.
He watched them harvest my kidney and spinal fluid without anesthesia, just to use my essence as a beauty treatment for the woman who poisoned me.
"It is your duty, Luna," he sneered as I bled out on the table.
I died looking at his cold, hateful eyes, realizing my love had been a death sentence.
But the Moon Goddess has a twisted sense of humor.
I opened my eyes, and the calendar on the wall showed the date from three years ago.
The day he brought Alex home.
I didn't cry. I didn't beg.
I walked straight to the dark clinic with a cooler box in my hand.
"Perform the Bloodline Severing," I told the terrified doctor.
"Extract the fetus and freeze it in magical stasis. I'd rather stop my baby's heart myself than let that monster call him 'son'."

Let Rosalie and her cheat system think they're winning. Let them steal the glory. Genevieve just wants to nap and eat blood pudding.
Too bad no one believes her.
