She attended a British accent class , attended the gym and she even attended a mixed school. Uncle Xander registered her in Crescent lake college a mixed school with humans and werefolves but the population of werefolves were to be hidden.

RING!!!!! The alarm ranged again for the third time as Lucia quickly got up and checked time, she was definitely late. She hurried up and packed the books on her study table inside her bag. The house was quiet which means her uncle wasn't home. The morning wasn't good for her today , she even missed the bus. There she was at the bus stop at 8:39 first period was about to end.

The hallway was quiet as Lucia thanked her stars that she meet no teacher in her class.

" Lucia! You're late" Kelly her seat partner shouted .

" Heyyya, how you doing?" Lucia asked as he sat down feeling exhausted already.

" Looks like someone chased the bus today " Kelly said as she giggled. She was a human but she didn't know Lucia wasn't.

" So, what did I miss?" Lucia asked after few of rest.

" Alright, I thought you wouldn't ask .... We had a history test" Kelly announced as she saw the disappointment on her face.

" B.....ut, you know theirs always a 'but' in my sentence" she added as they both laughed.

" I helped you write yours" Kelly said finally as Lucia quickly hugged her

" Thanks alot, you're such a good buddy!" Lucia said . " For that, we are going for the BTS concert next week!!!" She added as Kelly jumped up dragging the attention of the other classmates.

" OMG.!!, for real? But who's going to pay for the tickets?" She asked

" Me of course!" Lucia said as they hugged each other immediately principal rose walked in with a guy at her back.

" Can you tell me what's exciting you both?" She asked Lucia and Kelly.

" Nothing ma" Kelly answered because Lucia was still learning how to talk boldly in class.

The new Guy was tall and a little bit muscular, he had black pupils and he was magnificent handsome.

" Alright,we have a new student in our school and those any one have a problem with that?" Principal rose asked casually, she was normally funny.

" Alright, introduce yourself my dear" she added since no hands were up.

" Ok, I'm Edward hikkins" he said as the whole class chorused " we are happy to see you Edward"

He was seating close to our seat, I noticed Kelly started behaving flirty towards him. We both walked to the cafeteria for lunch.

" Looks like someone has a crush on the new guy?" Lucia said casually.

" C'mon, he's really cute. After all I wanna grab him before Lilly does." Kelly said as she opened her milk.

" Hmmm, good luck with that " Lucia added as Kelly kicked her from under the table. Lucia looked up and saw Edward coming.

" Call him!" Lucia whispered to Kelly.

"Ok.. Edward!" She shouted as , Lucia couldn't believe what she was seeing and guess what he looked her direction!!

" Uh, come and have a seat here" Lucia said as Kelly suddenly freezed 😂

" Sure" he said as Lucia stood up while he sat down near Kelly just as Lucia wanted.

" So what do you love doing?" Lucia asked as he looked at her. His eyes looked familiar to her but she couldn't remember where.

" I love to draw" he replied. They talked through out the lunch break.

The bell rang , lunch time was over!

" I think we're going to be best of friends" he said as he looked at Lucia but Lucia didn't want him to notice her at all😬. Kelly just acted casual as Edward went to class.

" He's really nice right?" Lucia asked while looking at Kelly.

" Yh, but do you think I'm good enough for him?" She replied

" C'mon, you're the best thing that can happen to anyone's life " Lucia said as she hugged her. Kelly was indeed glad she has a buddy like Lucia.

Closing hour had approached, the whole students were packing their things. Lucia on the other hand was packing both her books and the unnecessary things she brought to school because she was late

" Hurry up Lucia" Kelly said as she picked up a little letter that fell down from Lucia's bag.

" What's that?" Lucia asked as Kelly showed her after reading it .it was her third grade penpal letters suddenly Edward came.

" Hello girls" he said as he noticed the letters.

" What's with the letters?" He said casually.

" Oh, these are Lucia penpal letters " Kelly answered waving it at Lucia's face who was busy selecting her notes to leave under her locker. Edward took it and Kelly noticed the shocked look on his face.

" Are you okay?" Kelly asked as her and Lucia looked at each other.

" Uh, yeah I'm" he answered nervously.

" Yh, I will take that" Lucia said as she took it from his hands and tossed it inside her bag. After some minutes of silence on the road, Edward asked Lucia a question.

" Are those letters yours?" He asked making Lucia suspesious.

" Nope" Lucia lied as Kelly looked at her but she didn't say a word.

" Alright, just wanted to know." He added .

" Sooo, who's your study partner for next week study session?" Kelly said to change the topi.

" I don't know yet, what about you?" Edward asked as they stopped and waited for the bus.

" She's standing right here" Kelly said as Edward looked at her.

" See you later then " Kelly said a she waved both of them bye.

The bus was crowded as usual, Lucia fell asleep while reading a novel.

" THE KING AND I" he read out loud as a letter slipped out and fell on his lap. It was her penpal letters and what caught his attention was his name and his house adress................

The box felt heavier than it should. I clutched it against my chest as I stood at the corner of 5th and Main, my fingers tracing the worn edges of the cardboard that held everything I owned from my childhood—a baby blanket, a silver rattle, a faded photograph of tiny hands. Twenty-eight years of questions, and finally, finally, I would have answers. My phone buzzed. "We're here. Blue sedan. Can't wait to meet you, sweetheart." Sweetheart. The word made my throat tight. I scanned the intersection, heart hammering against my ribs, and spotted them—a couple in their fifties, the woman's hand raised in a tentative wave, her face lighting up with a smile that looked like it might shatter from the weight of too much hope. I stepped off the curb, raising my own hand to wave back, when the world exploded into metal and glass.
