Chapter 5

A month has already passed since Brienne and Raven shared a passionate night. Brienne went back to work.

"Hey, Bree. Let's go have lunch. The others have already left," Janice asked. Brienne stopped typing and looked at her friend.

"It's already lunch time?" she asked, surprised. Brienne was so engrossed in working that she didn't see the time.

"Yes, girly," Janice replied. Brienne removed her work eyeglasses and groaned when her phone vibrated and displayed his ex-boyfriend's name.

"He hasn't stopped calling you?" Janice asked. Brienne pouted her lips and shook her head. "Damn, your ex-boyfriend's a stalker," she added.

"He apologized. He said he didn't mean anything he said about me that night. Jasper wanted me to give him another chance," Brienne said, seeing the call finally end.

"In his f*cking face! What chance? He lost it the moment he cheated on you," Janice angrily said. "Tell me you won't give him a chance," she added.

"I won't," Brienne said and stood up.

"Good, he's not worth it," she said. "Let's go to the cafeteria," she said. Brienne nodded, and they went down to the office cafeteria. When they arrived, there's a lot of commotion among the employees.

"What's happening?" Brienne asked.

"I don't know," Janice said. "Hey! What's happening?" she added, asking an employee passing by.

"A handsome man," she said. Janice and Brienne looked at each other and shrugged their shoulders.

"Let's go and eat," Janice said. Brienne nodded, and they went to get their food. To avoid the crowded area, they went to the corner. The two were enjoying their meal while talking when a man stopped behind Brienne. Janice stopped and looked at Brienne.

"Look behind you," she mouthed. Confused, Brienne slowly turned her head and dropped her spoon when she saw who it was.

"Hello, doll," his deep voice whispered in her ear. "Meet me in the last room before the smoking area. I will be waiting," he added and left. Brienne looked around and was horrified to see all eyes on her.

"Oh my gosh, Bree! Who was that?!" Janice asked. Brienne hurriedly cleaned up her things and bit her lower lips.

"I'm going to explain later, Nice. I have to go," she said and left the cafeteria. Brienne pushed the elevator button and pushed the floor to where the smoking area was. When she arrived, she immediately stopped at the last room. Just as Brienne was about to knock, the door opened, beckoning her inside.

Pinned against the wall, Brienne couldn't help but scream a little in surprise. She then noticed Raven smirking.

"Nice to finally see you again, babygirl," Raven said.

"H-How? How did you know where I was? Are you stalking me?" Brienne asked and pushed him away, her heart beating loudly in her chest. Raven raised his visitor ID and began walking towards her.

"I just happened to know the CEO, not knowing you work here," he replied, but his statement was not accurate. For over a month, his beta search for Brienne with a little information he got from Raven. Then, Carter finally found her, working in the accounting firm owned by an allied pack. With this information, Raven took action and went to the office.

"What do you want?" Brienne asked, flinching when Raven touched her face. She glanced at him, and his blue eyes stared back at her.

"Like I said, I'm a visiting guest planning to invest in this company," he answered. "And I'm glad I was able to see you," he added, making Brienne gulp.

"Would you let me kiss you?" Raven asked. Brienne felt so conflicted. She wanted to leave the room, but the other part of her wanted to stay and kiss the man in front of her. "Babygirl, answer me," he said.

"Y-Yes," she said. Hearing Brienne's answer, Raven pressed his lips to hers. It started slow until it became needy. Brienne moaned when Raven put his tongue inside of her mouth. She immediately wrapped her arms around his neck while he lifted her up, putting her on the empty desk.

"R-Raven," Brienne called his name when she felt Raven begin touching and unbuttoning her uniform.

"Hmm?" Raven said, and his hand found Brienne's breast and played with her nipple.

"R-Raven, we can't!" Brienne said and pushed Raven away and fixed her uniform. Raven muttered curses under his breath, then assisted Brienne.

"I'm sorry, I was out of control," he said. Brienne heaved a sigh.

"I forgive you, but don't do it again. We are in the office for Christ's sake. Someone could have caught us," Brienne said, pouting. Raven tucked her hair behind her ear and smiled.

"You know I wouldn't let them hear nor catch us," he said. That's why he picked this room. Raven had already spoken with Johnson in exchange for his investment in the company. "But I can still see you, right?" he added, leaning forward.

"Y-Yes?" Brienne replied uncertainly. Raven took his phone out and gave it to Brienne.

"What am I going to do with this?" she asked, eyebrows furrowed.

"Put your number," Raven said. Brienne typed her number as Raven requested and returned the phone. Raven called the number, and when Brienne's phone vibrated inside her pocket, she took it out and made Raven see it.

"Good, it is really your number," he said.

"Yes," Brienne replied, stepping down from the desk. "What are you going to do now?" she added.

"Touring the building, I guess," Raven said.

"Okay," Brienne said. "I'll get going. The lunch break is over," she added, fixing her skirt.

"I'll call you later," Raven said. Brienne nodded her head and left the room. When she was outside, Brienne clasped her chest. Her heart was beating faster. Why did she have to see Raven here in all places? Brienne hurriedly went back to her department and sat on her swivel chair.

"Girly, who was that handsome dude?" Janice asked and sat beside her. "You should have seen the faces of the women in other departments. They were envy," she added. Brienne turned towards her.

"Nice... he's the man I slept with," she whispered to avoid listening ears around them.

"What the f*ck?" Janice exclaimed. "Girly, you're in deep trouble. What is he doing here?" she added.

"He said he's here as an investor. What should I do, Nice?" Brienne asked for Janice's advice.

"What else? Of course avoid him at all costs," Janice said. Brienne bit her bottom lips anxiously. She couldn't do that anymore. She even gave him her number. Avoiding him is not going to work anymore.
