Chapter 6

6. Rowan's POV

I keep Draka locked in the room, forbidding her from leaving without permission. How is she pregnant?! How did that happen?!

Was I supposed to find contraceptives for her? How can the kitchen girl be so daft?

Because of her shocking pregnancy news, I decide to take matters into my own hands. I suspend the trip I was supposed to take and i called Isabella, one of the oldest women in the pack. I summoned her into my office.

She walks into the office, I walk around dropping the blinds, making the room become dark, the air in the room is still.

Isabella bows as soon as she comes in, her face almost touching her knees. "Alpha Rowan, my lord."

"Sit down, Isabella, there is something I would like to discuss with you," I gesture to the seat as I lean against my desk.

Isabella doesn't sit on one of the chairs, she instead crosses her legs and eases herself to the ground. It's a sign of respect to refuse to sit on the chairs.

I inhale deeply and cross my hands. "Isabella, how can you tell if someone is pregnant? If the person is in an early stage?"

She raises her eyebrows slightly, as if wanting to say something about the strangeness of my question, but she stops herself.

"My Alpha, it depends on how far gone the person is, but we have gathered enough experience over the centuries, I can be able to detect a pregnancy, even if it's just a few days old."

I nod my head as my eyes wander around as I think. I need to know if Draka is lying to me. If she wants to escape, if she thinks faking a pregnancy is going to make me want to make her my mate or my Luna.

"Get up, Isabella. I want you to tell me how long someone has been pregnant," I push away from the table and start to walk to the door.

Isabella stands up with ease, even though she is one of the oldest members of this pack.

She follows meekly behind me as I walk down the stairs, until I come to my room. I open the door and we see Draka on the bed.

She is hugging her feet and rocking herself. That's the exact position I meet her almost everyday.

Her eyes blink with fear and confusion when she sees me and then Isabella. She jumps up from the bed and presses herself against the wall, as if she can sense some kind of danger.

"Come here," I order her. I don't wait for her to obey, I grab her hand and pull her to the center of the room.

She starts to sob, but she doesn't dare to struggle with me. She is crying a little too hard for her tiny body.

"Please, Alpha, I didn't do anything!" She sobs. "I swear, I didn't do anything wrong!"

I ignore her tears, to be honest, they annoy me.

"Check her, Isabella." I tell the old wowan.

She nods as she walks towards Draka. I take a step back and watch as Isabella goes over to her. She tears her clothes off and Draka tries to shield her naked body.

"Hold still, girl!" She mutters.

Draka drops her hands, her glassy eyes are looking at me, begging for mercy. She must be dumb to think I am a merciful Alpha.

Isabella grabs both of Draka's breasts and gives them small squeezes. Draka winces as she shuts her eyes tightly.

Isabella mutters some nonsensical words as her hands trails between Draka's legs and licks her fingers.

Isabella walks over to the closet and comes back with a robe, which she wraps around Draka's body.

"Two weeks, four days, Alpha Rowan." Isabella looks at me.

She was not lying, she is really pregnant. I look at Draka and anger boils in her heart. How can she be so foolish to allow this to happen?

"Take it out!" I command.

"What? Please don't kill my baby!" Draka screams as she holds onto her belly.

"I am the most feared Alpha in the entire lands and she is a wolf-less girl. I will not have defective children with a defective wowan!"

Draka shivers under my words, she is standing beside Isabella as if she can save her. Draka did this on purpose, didn't she? The kitchen girl is a sneaky bastard.

"Please, Alpha, if I may speak freely. The child is not defective, I would have been able to tell." Isabella says. "allow the child to live, my lord. It's your first fruit."

Isabella is saying the truth, I know this, but I'm just too angry to acknowledge it. I angrily go over to Draka and grab her chin, forcing her to fearfully look into my eyes.

"What are you doing?" I ask with a cold stare.

"I don't know," she shakes with fear. She is genuinely afraid of me. I like it that way.

"You think being pregnant is going to save you from my wrath? You think that it's going to change how I feel about you? You will never be Luna. You will never be my mate."

"Please, spare my child, Alpha Rowan," she gulps with fear. "That's all I ask, my lord."

I curse under my breath. The mate attraction is the cause of all of this. Even standing close to her, feeling her body heat, feeling her breath against me, I want to fuck her again– even though that's what brought about this mess in the first place.

I can't stay away from her and her body. I still feel my wolf stir as I look at her in my hands. My wolf wants her, it still wants to have her.

I let go of her and she immediately run to hide in a corner. I sigh as I run my fingers through my hair. I have to fix this as soon as possible.

I have a pack to run, I have important things to address, I can't keep letting Draka ruin my mind.

"Your punishment is that you will go back to your kitchen duty for the pack. You will cook all the meals and wash all the clothes." I say with an emotionless voice.

Draka is still crying, but she bows to me. She is just grateful to be alive, I can tell.

"Thank you, my lord," Isabella bows.

I walk out of the room as I return back to my office. I have so many things to do before I leave for my journey.

My wolf keeps whispering Draka's name into my mind again and again. All it wants to do is have her over and over again.... Get her pregnant over and over again...
