Chapter 6

MIRA

She couldn't remember falling asleep, only remembered the calm heartbeat drumming straight into her ear as she forced back the salty liquid threatening to spill from her eyes.

Although the room was dimly lit, she couldn't let the tears out and cry silently.

Allen will definitely feel her tears as her head was laid on her shoulder.

Mira vaguely remembered his fingers brushing through her hair, giving her scalp a soothing massage as she finally dozed off.

He also said something, what did he say? She sprang up at that. The sun wasn't fully out, it was barely six in the morning.

Glancing at the empty space beside her, her heart sank. Mira was sure he left in the middle of the night.

He can't even bare to sleep beside her? At least, he was considerate enough to prop pillows around her before he left, that was why she didn't feel uncomfortable after he left.

A sticky note was on the bedside table, her heart jumped in excitement before she could stop it. Your dress fabric is too flimsy, it got torn in the laundry.

Reilly will bring you a new dress.

Your Grandma thinks you're at your uncle's. Hurry there when you see this.

That's it? Nothing else.

Mira flipped the piece of paper over hoping to see the elite looking handwriting on the other page but there was nothing else.

She plopped back to the bed dejectedly.

"Is this the awkward-after-sex-treatment Kayla was talking about?" She murmured to herself as she reached for her phone which she found by the sticky note.

She didn't know how it got there and didn't care. Mira laid in bed, basking in Allen's warm comforter and scent as she replied important emails.

A few messages from her grandmother asking where she was, she ignored them and messaged Lucian.

The door clicked open causing Mira's head to turn towards it at a neck-cracking pace. A disappointed look slipped across her face when she saw who was at the door.

It wasn't Allen as she expected, rather a smallish middle-aged woman peered in and their eyes met.

"Oh! You are awake" the woman opened the door wider and walked in gingerly peering into Mira's face. She held a large orange paper bag.

"Yes" Mira sat up, resisting the urge to roll her eyes.

Fake!

She wanted to yell out but held herself back. Figuring she must be the Reilly Allen was referring to in the note.

Reilly looked like someone who was entitled and was ready to do anything to get what she wants.

"Good morning. I'm Reilly. Master asked me to attend to you and take care of your every need." She greeted with an overloaded energy and wide smile.

"No need" Mira dismissed icily not liking the look Reilly was giving her.

She looked like a maid trying to elevate her status in her master's place, especially in front of his guests.

Mira's mind was working fast, the thought that this plain looking maid with overloaded makeup might have thoughts about Allen made her blood boil.

"But..." Watching Reilly pepper red coated-lips move triggered something within Mira.

"Leave please. I want to be alone. Allen did a number on me last night" Mira said in a coquettish voice, her finger trailing over the mark Allen left on her neck.

You want some tea? Get it then.

She sneered internally at Reilly whose cheeked reddened in embarrassment.

Reilly hesitantly dropped the paper bag by the bed before exiting the room, not without a glance back.

Mira rolled her eyes and got out of bed, she picked up the bag to check it content. A pair of overly reserved brown gown and black shrug greeted her.

No part her body will be exposed if she put the dress on. It was long enough to cover her feet even if she put on heels.

"No way in hell I'm putting this on" Mira shoved the luxurious fabric back into the bag and picked up her phone.

Sending a quick text to her house chauffeur, she stood up to go to the bathroom, but a sore pain shot through her core causing her to pause on her track.

How could I have forgotten that Allen almost tore me apart last night? She thought, a dreamy smile gracing her face.

Thinking back to the activity from last night brought a rare blush on her face. Mira slapped herself back to reality and walked off to the bathroom, ignoring the throbbing pain between her legs.

Settling down into the filled tub, her mind couldn't stop replaying the scenes from last night.

Allen was just as she imagined, or more than. It was worth it, keeping her first time till that moment proofed to be worth it.

"Whether or not it worth it, that would depend on my efforts from now on." Mira muttered as she stepped out of the tub feeling refreshed.

Reilly was in the room when she walked in. The maid was cautious around her now, her fingers clasped together in front of her to hide her tremble.

She could barely look into Mira's eyes.

How could she not notice the superior aura that oozed out of the beautiful blonde earlier?

Mira was in a simple bathrobe, well Allen's bathrobe, that was longer and bigger than her.

But she managed to make it look like a sexy maxi dress even though her hair was still damp.

There was no doubting it, this woman is on another level. Reilly thought as she mentally smacked herself for her earlier slip off.

"Ma'am, someone is here to see you." Reilly quickly spoke up when Mira raised her eyebrow in a questioning look. She realized she was staring.

"Maha? Get me my clothes from him, and tell him to wait" Mira instructed.

Reilly came back few minutes with another paper bag, wondering why Mira asked for another dress when Allen already got her one.

She could only swallow her curiosity, after all she was the one who destroyed her dress.

Thinking back to the scene of destroying the black dress in a feat of anger and jealousy that Allen brought another woman again.

She did that after a woman tried to get into the house, claiming that she forgot her underwear.

Thankfully, Allen didn't care that she destroyed the dress, he even bought a new one. While she was still angry that Allen got his whore a new dress, she seemed it as a parting gift and was ready to gloat to the woman, only to meet Mira.

Reilly still doesn't understand why he never looked her way, she was confident in her face and body, well not until meeting Mira.

 "Get out"

Mira ordered when she noticed Reilly not moving after she dropped the bag.

Reilly bit her inner cheek to suppress the anger that was steaming from her lowered self-esteem and exited the room.
