Chapter 2

MIRA

Mira could feel the tension between them, her cousin and his stepsister, Violet.

The curvy redhead was like an open book, her pale skin flushed at every jab Mira threw.

She just couldn't hide her embarrassment or throw back a sassy reply at Mira.

The blonde loved how flustered the redhead gets at every of her comments, something was definitely going on between the two.

A wicked thought flashed through Mira's head as she watched Lucian and Violet walk out of the kitchen.

Lucian wanted to escape his grandmother's tongue-lashing, so Mira helped him keep the old woman distracted as they made their escape.

Once everywhere was cleared, Mira went on with her plan. Reaching for the abandoned camera in her bag which she had brought out to test if it was still working, she went after them quietly.

Having decided to start her mission Seduce-forty-years-old-Allen, the first step was to get back in touch with him.

To do that, she had to get Allen's contact from no one else but Lucian. Knowing Lucian, it would be almost impossible to get it unless she used force or blackmail.

She chose the latter. Hopefully her plan works.

And it did work! She caught them kissing. Mira knew her suspicions could not be wrong, she knew Lucian well enough to know he had lustful thoughts for his stepsister, they were raw in his eyes.

The redhead wiggled out of Lucian's hold as she glanced around fearfully.

Mira held back a chuckle.

She just knew the girl was in for it with Lucian. The marks on her were another giveaway of what they had been up to.

Blackmailing Lucian was more fun doing it than just thinking about it.

Watching Lucian frustrated and annoyed only left Mira grinning slyly.

"You have been pestering him for years, aren't you tired?"

"No. I want him or no one else. It is my lucky day these days. Hook us up and your secret is safe with me" Mira leaned into her seat, clearly enjoying whatever was going on.

"Why would you walk around with a Polaroid camera?" Mira shrugged at his question.

"I just wanted to. And luckily, I caught that moment and I have something to use as a bargaining chip with you."

"Allen warned me against doing that ever again".

Mira's expression turned serious at that. She wanted to say something, but stopped herself and had a rethink.

"That was my mistake. It won't happen again. So just do your part, else I will go to your little lover or sister," she smiled eerily.

Lucian heaved a frustrated sigh, being blackmailed sure felt worse.

"He will be at Rock n' Roll. VIP lounge," Lucian stated after sending Allen's contact to Mira.

"Okay. But to be sure you're not tricking me, I will be going with your sister" Mira winked at her annoyed cousin nonchalantly.

"Why would I trick you?"

"You have done that before, so I don't trust you", she shrugged and got up from her seat, adjusting her dress.

"Let me go and polish that doll a bit. Who knows, she might hook up with a Mafia Don in the club".

She didn't forget to tease an already livid Lucian.

***

Mira was sure she was confident enough to face Allen but the thought of finally meeting him seemed to crash down her well-built self-confidence.

"I'm not backing out!" She muttered to herself as she went through the heap of clothes in front of her to choose what to wear.

Settling on a bodycon dress, she found a similar one for the reluctant Violet and they dressed up.

Mira pulled her blonde hair into a high ponytail and gave Violet a similar style.

The two looked like badass wives ready to whoop their cheating husband's ass.

Sashaying into the VIP lounge left Mira's stomach churning in anxiety and anticipation.

She didn't know what to say when she met him.

"Long time no see? " She shook her head to get rid of that lane thought.

There he was, sitting among other men sipping on a tall glass of whiskey, his face still had the permanent Stoic expression.

He was still as hot as eight years ago, oozing out a dominating aura as he sat in a relaxed manner, observing the men sitting around him.

 No salt and pepper hair.

Well, he's just forty. Or not.

His face didn't look forty! He didn't even look like he was in his late thirties, he had hardly changed since the last time they met.

Mira felt her Lacey string dampened that moment. He still had that effect on her, bringing out the wanton Mira within minutes of meeting him again.

Her eyes trailed over to the brunette trying to grab his attention and all her reasoning cells died at that.

She let go of Violet and walked over, making her presence known to the bunch of men immersed in their discussion.

"My darling husband, why will you come without me? I'm sorry for lying that I'm on my period. I will give you whatever you want"

She smirked when she saw the unhidden surprise in his eyes as his gaze landed on her.

Allen wasn't surprised at her words, he was surprised at her presence.

 "Mira, what are you doing?"

Allen tried to pry her hands off him, but Mira clung on, her seductive smile flashing without a crack.

"What? Still angry? I am sorry. " Mira pouted, her eyes suddenly glossy with tears making her looked aggrieved.

She didn't plan for this, but watching someone cover her man brought out the actress in her.

"Allen, you didn't tell us you were married. And, to a beauty at that" someone commented, checking Mira out.

Allen's veins bulged in annoyance. "I'm not..."

"I know we're supposed to keep our marriage a secret, but I get jealous when other ladies look at you. See? I want to slap her face"

She pointed at the brunette, still resenting her for even setting her eyes on him.

"Mira, behave"

"I will, if you promise to come back home." Mira tugged his shirt rather so hard that a button came off.

"Oh... Sorry" she whispered as her fingers slipped into the opened shirt, sending a glare at the brunette.

Allen pried her hands off, but she latched her right back.

"If you don't want her, you can give her to me. She looks flexible". A yellow-toothed man laughed throatily.

Allen slammed his glass of whiskey on the table in front of him and stood up, Mira still clung to his torso like a koala.

"What about my friend? She will feel lonely without me", She whispered into his ear as her hands slipped back into his shirt.

"I will take her home". Lucian finally made his presence known at that.

He couldn't care less about his cousin's drama, all he wanted was to take Violet away from those hungry eyes.

"Take care of your sister, I'm off" Mira giggled as Allen walked off, his hand gripping her waist.
