Swapped under full moon Novel Cover

Swapped under full moon

Heads up! This story includes mature themes, strong language, and steamy scenes. Readers discretion is advised. "Warm lips pressed against the sensitive skin of my neck, just below my ear, sending waves of shock down my spine. "After promising me a hot fuck, you decided to ditch me, huh Clara?" a low, male voice murmured into my hair as his hands slid down, palms flattening against my stomach, pulling me flush against a hard, solid body. I wanted to push him away, probably punch him in the face also but I'm Clara. He thinks I'm her and I have to be her. I took a deep breath, a wide smile on my face as I turned in his arms, finally looking at him. To my surprise, he was handsome, dark hair, strong jawline and I could see the confidence in his eyes. He knew Clara...maybe intimately. "I thought she has Jeremy, does she just fuck around now", I thought. "I got held up, I'm sorry," I managed, forcing Clara's sly smile onto my face, praying it looked convincing. "Uh-huh," he said, his voice a low rumble. He didn't believe me, but he didn't care. His hand came up, his thumb brushing my lower lip. "You owe me, Clara. Big time." ****************************************** Jenna has always had the perfect life, Her mate, Damon...the Alpha of the pack who accepted her, a pack that wanted her as their Luna..... Until it was stripped off her on the coronation night. Chapter 3

JENNA

The beeping of an alarm clock jolted me awake...

I stretched my right hands to reach my alarm on my bedside but I noticed it wasn't.

The beeping didn't stop and I opened my eyes in frustration.

Only then did I remember.

The unfamiliar room, the bed which was a bit big for me.

And the alarm clock that was on the left side not on my right side anymore.

I groaned, rolling over and slamming my hand down on the clock to silence it.

Clara's clock, her room, get body.

It wasn't a dream anymore.

It was reality.

It was my life now.

I dragged myself out of bed, my legs feeling heavy and foreign.

Everything about this body felt wrong,

She was a bit too tall, too lean, too not mine.

I walked to the bathroom, avoiding the mirror until I had to face it.

I didn't want to see myself in the mirror.

I entered the shower, taking my bath.

The water was hot and almost scalding, but I welcomed it with gritted teeths.

Maybe it could wake me up or maybe it would make this nightmare feel real enough to break out of.

When I finally stepped out of the shower, I toweled off quickly and I packed my hair into a messy bun....

At least, I hoped Clara would consider a messy bun.

I didn't know her routine, her habits, her life.

How was I supposed to act like her?

Wouldn't people notice if I slipped up?

I turned to look at the mirror to pack my hair well.

And the reflection I've avoided stared back at me.

Her sharp cheekbones, her almond-shaped eyes, her full lips..

It was so strange to see her face instead of my own.

I couldn't stop staring.

I was done packing my hair when I heard a knock on the door.

First it was the person trying to open the door and then the knock.

I stood frozen in place.

What if is someone I couldn't recognize?

How would I act?

I debated ignoring the knock, but it came again...

Louder this time..

Reluctantly, I walked to the door and opened it.

And my eyes widened at the person in front of the door.

There he was. Damon.

My mate. Or at least, he had been my mate before this crazy body swap happened. Now, he was just there, all handsome and all.

Standing there in all his brooding glory, his dark hair a bit messy...just like I had always loved it.

I really wanted to jump on him, wrap my hands around his neck and tell him, how much I've missed him.

His piercing dark brown eyes narrowing as he looked at me.

My heart skipped a beat, and I immediately regretted opening the door.

"Morning," he said, his voice low and gruff.

"You locked your door...that was weird", he said.

"Wow, so she leaves her door opened, that's weird", I thought

"I was a bit tired, I needed the privacy", I said, cooking up at lie at the spot.

I was indeed proud of myself.

"Are you good now, I was told you weren't feeling too good yesterday", he said and before I could process his words, he raised his hands, placing them on my forehead gently.

I pulled back in shock and I could have sworn he felt something, because he pulled back almost immediately.

"I'm good now", I said, my reply more sharper than I intended.

"Im guessing you're not going for your usual run?", he said, clearing his throat.

I blinked at him, Run?

Since when does Clara go for a morning run? I scrambled for an excuse, anything to cover up my ignorance.

"Uh, no. Not today"

He raised an eyebrow, clearly skeptical, but before he could press further, a voice interrupted us.

"Damon!"

We both turned to see her, the person who was now living in my body.

She walked over, her arm slipping through Damon's with far too much ease.

My jaw clenched as I watched her lean into him, her fingers brushing his arm in possessive little strokes. It took everything in me not to grab her and yank her away from him.

"We should get going," she said sweetly, her voice dripping with false innocence. It was sickening.

She glanced at me, her eyes flickering with something I couldn't quite place...

Whatever it was, she avoided holding my gaze for too long.

Like she knew something I didn't.

Like she knew me.

"Sure," Damon said, though his eyes lingered on me for moment longer before shaking loose and walking away with her.

"Take care little sis", he said, ruffling my hair a bit, making my bun loosen a bit.

I watched them go, my fists clenched at my sides, Why did it feel like she was deliberately trying to keep him away from me?

And why did Damon seem oblivious to it all?

Didn't he feel anything when our body made contact.

Oh wait...it's Clara's body...not mine.

Once they were out of sight, I decided to grab something to eat first to clear my mind since I didn't have any farther plans for yet!

Maybe step out to look for Mia.

I was pretty sure, I saw her yesterday...but for some reason I really couldn't place.

She didn't answer me and she got lost in the crowd.

I walked through the large hall, going to the dinning.

The breakfast was set and both the Luna and the Alpha and the New Luna, who was meant to be me and Damon were sitted at the table.

As I walked to the table, they all glanced at me in shock.

I tried to avoid all their gazes as I was a bit shocked.

Was I doing something wrong?

Why were they all shocked?

I pulled out a chair to eat and after I was served, Damon's father talked.

"You came out to eat today, Clara", he said.

And then it clicked.

I had done something Clara wouldn't do.

Just how weird must she had been.

She doesn't look her door....

She doesn't come out to eat.

Just who the hell did she think she is...

"That's new", His mother said

"I think she woke up on the right side of the bed, she's been all weird since morning", Damon added and I had to stop myself from shooting him a daggering look.

He never helps....instead he puts you on the hot seat.

It's the same he's always done with Mia and I.

"I thought we could eat as a family one last time", I said and they all nodded, agreeing with what I said

Damon was leaving that morning.

And I was probably never going to see him so often as I used to.

I wondered if I could cope with that.

He wasn't going to be staying there with the Luna.

Few months back, we had both planned and worked on the type of house we wanted to live in.

Damon picked the decorations, while I selected the furnitures.

It was something I had always looked forward to.

But guess who's not going to the house....Mee

The person in my body just stayed still, avoiding my gaze while eating, which was very weird.

I was the last person at the table and I was sure Clara eats like a snail because Damon had once mentioned me eating just like his sister.

After having breakfast, I was on my way back to my room when I ran into the Luna.

And she was pretty much doing nothing.

I took that as a cue to talk to her.

I needed to know who the person was.

It couldn't be Clara.

She wouldn't long for the crown and worse....

Her Brother.

It just didn't make sense.

I wondered whether she knew about me or not..

But the way she behaved was quite weird.

So I decided to approach her,

"Hey Luna," I called ahead of her.

She turned back letting out a small smile,

"Good morning, how are you darling?" She asked politely.

"I'm okay but I might need your help with something!" I said.

She stared at me...like she was weighing her options

And then she glanced at her phone.

"Oh Clara, I hope it can wait...I need to visit the packs clinic to put some things in place.", she said.

"Oh of course... excuses", I thought.

"Just who might you be", I thought.

"Ooh... alright, it can wait", I said, slowly and she turned immediately, even before I finished my words.

"But..I need to see Mia, Do you know where I can find her", I suddenly blurted out..

She turned to look at me, like the question was sudden and she wasn't expecting it.

"Mia found her mate and she left with him, he's not from this pack", she said.

Mia found her mate...

"Is there a reason why you need to see her?", she asked.

"Ooh...not really", I blurted out still processing what I just heard.

I walked back to the room, slumping on the bed, unsure of what to do next.

Mia was nowhere to be found, I didn't know where the real Clara was.

A phone beeped in the drawer, jolting me out of my thoughts.

I pulled the drawer open and I reached for the phone.

"Why did she put her phone in her drawer", I wondered.

Messages popped up and half of them were from Jeremy.

"Oh, he said he was going to text me", i said.

I swiped up the phone to open it, to see, if I could see anything.

Maybe they weren't blood siblings and she had always desired for the crown and her step-brother, like how it is in novels.

Maybe it really isn't her and it's someone else

I wanted to know.

"Fuck", I cursed as I saw that the phone had a password.

"How the hell am I going to decode what the password is", I said.

Damon...Silverwhitmore...Clara

I typed in one at a time but it didn't open.

"Jeremy", I muttered.

"How did I forget it, it has to be him", I said as I typed in the name but it didn't open.

"That's weird...not even her boyfriend", I said.

I turned back to the drawer to see anything else that might be of help and there I saw a small diary.

I flipped it open and the first sentence I saw made me so confused.

It was her first entry about two years ago.

I'd love to have an Alpha as my Mate and be crowned the Luna.

"Could it really be Clara", I thought.

I flipped through the pages and then I saw some enteries, where she talked about having an Alpha as her mate and leaving Whitmore Pack.

Why would she want to leave the pack so bad? And

If she wants to leave the Pack, then she can't be the one in my body.

Then I kept flipping, there the enteries were a bit recent.

"I saw him again today, he stalked me throughout the day, I really want some freedom out of the pack."

"He looked so scary today"

"I was able to escape from him, I wonder how long till my luck runs out"

She has a stalker?

"Never returning to the training grounds alone"

And then I remembered, Jeremy mentioned that she never liked being alone.

Who was the stalker?

And how dangerous was he for her to desire leaving the pack?

Does anyone know about it?
