Chapter 1

A very big and unavoidable pressure troubled Melissa's feelings as she fingered fury and then unpleasant discomfort. She gnashed her teeth and bit up her mouth until it fled. Her inflamed, blemished face was enhanced with nothing but a mixture of fluid and weeping soaked from both her eyes and forehead. Her blood-sodden body was chained to a chair. She chucked, her teeth rattled in fear with her claws buried deep into her lap.

She seemed alike to the abyss, yet her appearance was sarcasm of what was going on in her head. Her wolf raged in her head, her chest was heavy with pain and her heart felt like it was being diced with cutlery. She sunk her claws into her lap because physical pain was better than everything going on in her head.

Groans occupied the air as a well-built man touched a frilly blonde's physique while kissing a blue-haired woman.

Melissa does not want anything apart from closing her eyes and shutting out the gore she was witnessing, but she wouldn't dare. She could easily snap the chains that held her and rip out the throat of the crew before her but she wouldn't dare. Around them were other females who ran their fingers through the male's body.

The so-called females were so stylish touching the Alpha, her Alpha, and her own mate. Every touch and sound drove her insane. Her wolf wanted blood.

She could easily kill every woman in that room for even looking at her mate, but she couldn't. She couldn't do it because it was her punishment. In this world, her mate had always seen her as nothing but junk and enjoyed handling and playing psychological deceits on her.

"You are losing concentration, Melissa. Watch me carefully. You need to watch and learn," his arousal-clouded voice laced with powerful command.

Spontaneously, her eyes enlarged, and her head uncurled. It was very sore, but when an Alpha commands, one is bound to obey it.

The females sneered before walking towards Melissa. They proceed to her one after the order. They were pouring insults on her like she had committed a crime or she blocked their progress.

"Senseless bitch," one remarked. The next person hints at her roughly while laughing hilariously.

"So-called Luna, are you irritated? Is it like your body is steaming with anger right now?" asked a blue-eyed one, sneering directly into her face.

"All hail the Luna." Ridiculed by another female whose long hair could be said to be the longest amongst all, Repeats of laughter filled up the room, and the fair-haired stepped up to her.

"He said you should watch carefully," she whispered into her ears.

Melissa chucked, her face hurting from the cuts and bumps she had received earlier from her mate when he punched her. She bit into her torn lips to keep herself from screaming and she pressed her claws deeper into her lap.

"She's so freaking ugly. You do realize how ugly you are, right?" one asked. "Look into my eyes!" Her mate growled.

Melissa whimpered, praying for her nuisance to end.

Another sophisticated female fisted her hand into Melissa's ash-Lloyd hair and yanked it. Melissa let out a scream of agony.

Another wave of laughter swept through the room. Melissa sucked in the air; her wolf was threatening to explode. Unlike her, she didn't care about the consequences.

"Piece of trash, your existence is insignificant. Maybe that's why no one loves you." She taunted. At that, Melissa's control shattered.

She let out a muffled rumble as her hazel irises turned Shadow with red rings around them. The amusement and sarcasm ceased immediately.

Lloyd, her mate and the Alpha of Blossom Pack growled, pushing away the ladies that surrounded him. His eyes flashed golden as he grabbed her. "Return to her subconscious, wolf!" He gritted out, his dominance rippled through her body.

Not quite approximately, her eyes returned to their normal color and she let out a tormented cry. Chuckling delightedly, Lloyd let her fall back to the ground, and the chair to which she was tied shattered under her weight.

"I thought I told you not to let your wolf exert control! Did what they said hurt you? They're right. You're hopeless and you'll persistently be. That's why your father sold you off to pay off his debts. He knew how much of a waste you would turn out to be."

Weeping dropped out from Melissa's eyes. She could take every form of pain, abuse, and grievance, but nothing hurt more than the reminder that she was truly useless and could never result in anything good. The words Lloyd was saying were nothing but the truth and now she wished someone could end her desolation.

"Open your eyes," he commanded, and she obeyed.

He gave her a dirty look and then knocked her off with his heel.

Melissa gripped a shot of a hot drink at a bar a few hours later. Dusk had fallen outside and patrons strolled into the musty, dim-lit bar.

She had walked quietly out of the pack, veiled, hoping that no one noticed her. Although all her wounds had healed up, her body was still tender and her mind was still raw with pain.

"Luna," an elderly man called out, tapping her back tenderly.

Melissa muffled a whimper and ground her teeth as pain rippled through her nerves. Slowly she spun around and plastered a false smile on her face.

"Gabe," she greeted.

He quickly gave her a sardonic smile, "Thank you. My mate told me how you helped her yesterday. You're the best thing that has happened to this pack," he said. Tears welled in Melissa's eyes; her aching heart broke a little more. Her smile faltered and she struggled to keep it up.

"Don't mention Gabe," She grumbled, "That's what a Luna is for, isn't it?" Melissa asked.

Gabe laughed and cuddled her shoulders, "Yes, but you're humane about it. It's cheering. You are a true Princess, thank you." He finished and tottered away. The moment he was far enough she buried her head in her palms and broke into a quiet sob.

Members of the Blossom pack knew nothing of what she was going through. How could they know that beneath all her smiles and hard work, she was dying inside? They knew that Alpha Lloyd didn't regard her because she was used as payment for a debt her parents owed, but what they didn't know was the full extent.

Merely notable members of the pack and the grimy classy Alpha Lloyd had orgies with, knew. Be it as it may, Blossom pack members saw her as the embodiment of excellence and even venerated her.

Her body shook as she sniffled agonizingly. She had long stopped praying for a miracle because miracles didn't happen in Blossom. There was nothing like delight for her; only pain, misery, and anguish. Now she desires to forget, to stop feeling, to be in a state beyond her current depression. It was the only way she could escape her reality.

In a while, she had to wipe away her tears. Raising her head and putting down her shot, she gave a sign to the bar attendant to keep refilling her cup. She poured drink over and over and kept drinking down to her esophagus until the buzzing in her head disappeared. She got deeply drunk and couldn't hold herself. She fell off the stool she was sitting on. She sniggered, loving the feeling of freedom and power that strummed through her veins.

After taking another throat-burning shot, she tripped off the stool. The moment her feet touched the ground, the world came deafening down. Her legs distorted below her, and she was worn out to the floor.

At a time she let out a peal of crazy laughter, stunned to her feet, and immediately returned to her stool. People were not even interested in what was going on because, just like she was doing, most of the folks in the bar were drinking to forget their challenges and distress.

Melissa held her hands to her mouth, as she vexed to battle back her fit of cackles. The whole thing appeared comical and thrilling. She waved her hand carelessly to the barman for additional drinks. After she consumed it all, she rested her head in upholstery holding her head with her hands.

"Is this not so hilarious?" An individual who is going out of the place asked, astonishing her. She immediately rose up her head and went into laughter which made few. She started seeking the source of the voice. By then, the alcohol and dim lights distorted her vision, so she was unable to see him clearly, but her mind selected his interest in her.

It made her rouge and chuckle again. "And to think they said I'm ugly," she mumbled. Her words came out as complete gabble. She started laughing loudly again, spanking her leg uncontrollably.

A very modest-looking young man who is built and heavily inked was standing nearby her, raised a ridge, and pointed his deep-set eyes at her. A sneer hauled at his lips and his light blue eyes Shadowed with arousal and intrigue. He slid onto the stool beside her, watching intently at her.

"If I may ask, what do you actually want?" Melissa spoke, rotating to look at the secretive foreigner and almost sliding off the barstool. He instantaneously gripped her and set her accurately. Her cheeks inflamed and she chortled tougher.

The barman came with her refill and his demand and set it before them. Melissa grabbed her drink, but he beat her to it and gulped it down. Her eyes blew open and she knotted at him. He sneered, holding the cup so solicitously.

.

"You," Melissa roared.

The furtive man waved his hand at the bar attendant who was at his side instantly, "Do kindly get her a bottle of water," he ordered, and the bar attendant bowed before doing as told.

"Is it that you are silly?" Melissa exclaimed, thrusting his chest with her finger. He only sneered at her, disregarding the listing of curses falling out of her mouth. As soon as the bar attendant returned with the bottle of water, he paid for his intact drink and hers, and then he walked away without saying goodbye to her or even looking back.

Melissa was furious. Wrathfully she swallowed down the water and stunned after him. Faltering onto people and also other things including tables, because the realm appeared to be dancing under her feet

'What does he think he is?' She angrily said to herself. She had had enough of people oppressing her, and the whiskey in her veins aided her a lot as it gave her the bravery that she ordinarily didn't have.

Melissa staggered outside to inhale the sweet fresh night air, allowing it to fill her lungs. Closing her eyes, she exhaled and then sniffed the air for his scent. She found it immediately and blindly followed.

She staggered and came to a halt when she found herself in a Shadow alley. By now she had sobered up a bit and was regretting her actions. He giggled and walked into view.

Melissa apparently took a few footsteps towards the back. He was bigger than she could remember. It was Shadow, but since her vision had gotten clearer, she was able to get a foretaste of his structures.

He was so hot! "Who are you and what do you think you are?" She barked, overwhelming her fear. His blue irises shadowed and a fleck of gold flashed in them as his piercing gaze scanned through her body. Her whole body responded with a shudder.

Absorbing hard on her saliva,

Melissa took another step backward and smashed her back onto the wall.

A subtle sniff in the air told her that he was as aroused as she was. And that was the last thing she could endeavor.
