She Sent Them to Hell

She Sent Them to Hell

Melanie had been in a secret relationship with her best friend's brother, Ethan, for five years, and finally, he agreed to make it public. Her best friend excitedly called to confirm, "Melanie, I can't believe my brother's sweetheart is you..." Just as she was about to nod, she heard her friend say, "Half-sister? I thought he would like you." That single sentence hit Melanie like a ton of bricks. In a frenzy, she rushed to the company to confront Ethan for clarification. Unexpectedly, she overheard him confessing his deep feelings to his half-sister. "Rosalyn, you're the only one I love," he declared. "Marrying her was just to protect you. Keeping her nearby ensures she won't dig into her mother's accident and won't harm you!" Upon discovering the truth, Melanie decided to accept the marriage to turn the tables on him. However, after obtaining the marriage certificate, she realized she might have married the wrong person... Before she could regret it, Ethan's rival, swept her into his arms. "You think you can just up and leave after tying the knot?"

Chapter 7

Ethan ignored the shocked stares from everyone around him and rushed straight to Melanie on the stage. He gripped her arm tightly. "Melanie, I am your fiancé. How can you marry someone else?" The crowd below erupted in an uproar. Melanie shook off his hand and looked at him coldly. "Mr. Dawson, please watch your words. I have always been nothing more than your subordinate. When did you ever become me fiancé?" Ethan's eyes had already turned red with rage. He no longer cared about anything and blurted out. "Melanie, you slept with me for five years and now you're telling me you are my subordinate?" Melanie gave a mocking laugh. "Mr. Dawson, you shouldn't say things like that carelessly. Do you have any proof that we were together for five years? Photos? Videos? Or witnesses?" Ethan's pupils trembled. How could he have forgotten that to keep Rosalyn from feeling uncomfortable, he had kept their relationship completely secret for five years? Even his own sister had no idea. In fact, over those five years, they never once took a single photo together. With that realization, Ethan had nothing to say in response. In desperation he raised his left hand, showing the plain ring. "Melanie, have you forgotten that you already accepted my proposal?" Beside them Mathew let out a sneer. "Your proposal ring is just a cheap plain band. Is your love really so worthless?" Ethan glanced at the massive pink diamond on Melanie's finger and the color slowly drained from his face. He had no way to explain that he had indeed just bought a random pair of rings from a street stall to brush her off. "Enough. Since there's no evidence, this is nothing but slander." Mathew pulled Melanie protectively into his arms, his tone icy. "Security, escort Mr. Dawson out." Ethan, the usually elegant man, looked utterly disheveled as the bodyguards dragged him away. But he still refused to give up, breaking free from their hold and grabbing Melanie's hand again. "Melanie, listen to me. The Fuller family and my family have been enemies for generations. Mathew and I have been fighting tooth and nail since we were kids! He doesn't love you at all. Marrying you is just his way of getting revenge on me! Come with me, alright? We can go get the marriage certificate right now!" Ethan looked at her with desperate sincerity. Melanie frowned. So he and Mathew were mortal enemies? Mathew had never mentioned it to her. But it didn't matter. Enemies were even better. Melanie leaned close to Ethan's ear, her red lips parting softly. "Ethan, I don't care what kind of relationship you have with Mathew, and I don't care whether he loves me or not. I only want you to go to hell and atone for what you did to my mother!" Ethan's body jerked as if struck. He stared at Melanie, his face turning deathly pale in an instant. "Melanie, you… you…" He couldn't bring himself to ask the question because he saw pure hatred in her eyes. "Melanie, listen to me…" He tried frantically to explain but Melanie cut him off. "Mr. Dawson, you are not welcome at my wedding. Please leave." With that, a group of bodyguards surged forward again. "Melanie, I was wrong! I'm sorry! I'm begging you, don't marry him. You'll regret it…" Ethan struggled weakly but was eventually thrown out of the church doors in disgrace. He still refused to give up and tried to rush back in, only to be punched to the ground by a bodyguard. Then more fists and kicks rained down on him heavily. Only when Ethan coughed up blood did the bodyguards finally stop and leave. At that moment Ethan's phone rang. "Mr. Dawson, something terrible happened! The billion-dollar contract under Rosalyn's responsibility is in trouble. The client is demanding to terminate it!" "What?!" Despite the searing pain, Ethan forced himself up from the floor and rushed toward the company.

For five years, I was the invisible glue holding Damien Crawford together. I was the one who pulled him from a burning car until the skin melted off my back, and I was the one who donated bone marrow when he was on death's door. I even gave up a full-ride scholarship to MIT just to be his nurse. Yet, he believed his mistress, Hadley, was his savior. To him, I was just the maid's daughter who changed his bedpans—a piece of furniture he could abuse while he planned his wedding to another woman. But his cruelty didn't stop at verbal abuse. When my father suffered a massive heart attack, Damien refused to let me use the car, choosing to comfort Hadley over a fake panic attack instead. His mother even slashed the tires to ensure I couldn't leave. While my father died cold and alone, Damien stabbed a needle into my hand just to teach me a lesson about "respect," oblivious to the fact that the scars on my skin were the receipt for his life. He didn't know he was torturing the only person who had ever truly loved him. But the girl who begged for crumbs of affection died along with her father that day. I picked up my phone and dialed the number saved simply as a dot. "He's dead," I whispered to the man on the other end—Anderson Morrison, the city's most feared Don and my sworn protector. "I'm coming," he replied, his voice lethal. "And I'm bringing the army." It was time to show Damien that he hadn't just mistreated a maid; he had declared war on a Queen.

For seven years, I have been the submissive commoner wife of Julian, the New York Mafia boss. When he finally realized what he had ruined and stabbed himself with a dagger, begging for my forgiveness, I simply turned and walked away. I endured his endless betrayals and cruelty for only one reason: he paid for my grandmother's life-sustaining treatment. But while he was busy buying diamonds for his new mistress, the pressure of his emotional abuse caused me to lose our child. His mistress broke into my grandmother's hospital room and threw explicit photos of her and Julian in my grandmother's face. My grandmother died from shock. Julian knew nothing about this. “Go home, Sienna. You’re pregnant. Stop making a scene, or I’ll cut off your grandmother’s medical bills tomorrow.” When I found him, he arrogantly thought I was just throwing a tantrum. He didn't know our child was gone. He didn't know that my grandmother had passed away. In front of all his men, I poured a glass of whiskey over his head, left the signed divorce papers on his table, and then boarded a one-way flight to Germany. I will leave him forever.
