She Sent Them to Hell
Melanie had been in a secret relationship with her best friend's brother, Ethan, for five years, and finally, he agreed to make it public.
Her best friend excitedly called to confirm, "Melanie, I can't believe my brother's sweetheart is you..."
Just as she was about to nod, she heard her friend say, "Half-sister? I thought he would like you."
That single sentence hit Melanie like a ton of bricks. In a frenzy, she rushed to the company to confront Ethan for clarification.
Unexpectedly, she overheard him confessing his deep feelings to his half-sister.
"Rosalyn, you're the only one I love," he declared. "Marrying her was just to protect you. Keeping her nearby ensures she won't dig into her mother's accident and won't harm you!"
Upon discovering the truth, Melanie decided to accept the marriage to turn the tables on him.
However, after obtaining the marriage certificate, she realized she might have married the wrong person...
Before she could regret it, Ethan's rival, swept her into his arms. "You think you can just up and leave after tying the knot?"

Melanie hurried to the company.
She had spent a full year securing this deal, and it was not just for the generous bonus.
Instead, it proved her capability.
From now on, she would firmly establish herself in this industry.
She would never allow all her hard work to become someone else's stepping stone.
"Ethan, why?" Melanie burst straight into Ethan's office.
He looked at her coldly. "Because you slapped Rosalyn. Consider this contract your apology. Do you know how heartbroken Rosalyn was crying last night? As her older sister, how could you treat her that way?"
Melanie froze.
So everything was just to punish her.
Ethan truly loved Rosalyn to the extreme, unwilling to let her suffer even the slightest grievance.
Melanie felt as though a huge stone was crushing her chest, making it hard to breathe.
Seeing her silence, Ethan softened his tone. "Come on, Melanie, it's just one contract. Once you become my wife, you'll have everything you want. Rosalyn just joined the company. She needs this achievement more than you do. Be generous, alright?"
Ethan walked over, intending to take her hand, but she avoided him.
Ethan frowned, vaguely sensing something off about Melanie.
He opened his mouth to speak, but she cut him off. "Fine. I'll let her have the contract. It's only fair that I get a house in return, don't you think?"
Melanie swallowed the bitterness in her heart and handed over the property purchase agreement.
Seeing that she was no longer pursuing the matter, Ethan breathed a sigh of relief.
He signed the document immediately. "Alright. Let's have dinner together tonight."
Ethan returned to his usual gentleness and lightly pinched her cheek.
Melanie gave a stiff nod and turned to leave.
Once she reached a quiet corner, Melanie took out the documents hidden inside the agreement.
One was a resignation letter.
The other was an authorization form granting access to the company's high-level confidential files.
Both documents clearly bore Ethan Dawson's signature.
A slow, cold smile curved Melanie's lips. She would make him lose everything.
"Melanie, are you okay?" Suddenly Rosalyn appeared behind her.
Melanie's heart jolted. She quickly hid all the documents.
Fortunately Rosalyn noticed nothing unusual. "Secretary Gilbert? No, wait. I should call you Assistant Gilbert now."
Melanie frowned, looking at her in confusion.
"Melanie, didn't Ethan tell you? He assigned you to be my assistant." Rosalyn asked with feigned surprise.
A wave of intense humiliation surged through Melanie, her fingertips trembling.
She never imagined Ethan would go so far as to humiliate her just to vent for Rosalyn.
"Don't worry, Melanie. You've worked by Ethan's side for so many years. I won't make things difficult for you. In one week, it's my celebration banquet. You'll be in charge of planning it."
Rosalyn's face was full of arrogance and smugness.
Melanie still needed time to gather evidence, so she had no choice but to nod.
After Rosalyn left, Melanie sent a message to Mathew. "I already obtained Ethan's authorization. Send someone to get evidence of the Dawson Group's crimes as soon as possible."
Mathew replied instantly. "Received! My dear wife!"
He added a little salute emoji.
Melanie couldn't help but chuckle softly.
For a moment, she began to doubt the rumors about him.
How could such a playful man be the violent and ruthless person people described?
When work ended, Melanie left the company.
A familiar Maybach pulled up in front of her. The window slowly rolled down. "Melanie, tonight is my welcome-back banquet. You'll come too, right?"

"Whether you like it or not, I'm going to marry you, Jillian," Sir Zach told me. His face was dead serious, as if he had already made up his mind.
"What do you mean, marry me? Hey! Just because you're rich doesn't mean you can do whatever you want! There is no reason for me to marry someone like you!" I snapped at him.
It felt like he was trying to dictate every single thing I did, even though he wasn't even my boyfriend.
"I have a reason to marry you, Jillian. Something happened between us, don't you remember? You were actually the one who kissed me that night you were completely wasted," he reminded me, a smirk playing on his lips.
I swallowed hard at his words. Right. Something did happen between us. But it wasn't intentional. Someone had drugged my drink, which was why I acted that way the night he pulled me away from the "friends" I thought were genuine.
"So, there's no reason to say 'no,' my future wife," he said with a wink.
It looks like there's no way out for me. I'm actually going to be the wife of Sir Zach-my professor and the one person I'm always at odds with.

For five years, I was the invisible glue holding Damien Crawford together. I was the one who pulled him from a burning car until the skin melted off my back, and I was the one who donated bone marrow when he was on death's door. I even gave up a full-ride scholarship to MIT just to be his nurse.
Yet, he believed his mistress, Hadley, was his savior. To him, I was just the maid's daughter who changed his bedpans—a piece of furniture he could abuse while he planned his wedding to another woman.
But his cruelty didn't stop at verbal abuse. When my father suffered a massive heart attack, Damien refused to let me use the car, choosing to comfort Hadley over a fake panic attack instead.
His mother even slashed the tires to ensure I couldn't leave.
While my father died cold and alone, Damien stabbed a needle into my hand just to teach me a lesson about "respect," oblivious to the fact that the scars on my skin were the receipt for his life.
He didn't know he was torturing the only person who had ever truly loved him. But the girl who begged for crumbs of affection died along with her father that day.
I picked up my phone and dialed the number saved simply as a dot.
"He's dead," I whispered to the man on the other end—Anderson Morrison, the city's most feared Don and my sworn protector.
"I'm coming," he replied, his voice lethal. "And I'm bringing the army."
It was time to show Damien that he hadn't just mistreated a maid; he had declared war on a Queen.

For seven years, I have been the submissive commoner wife of Julian, the New York Mafia boss.
When he finally realized what he had ruined and stabbed himself with a dagger, begging for my forgiveness, I simply turned and walked away.
I endured his endless betrayals and cruelty for only one reason: he paid for my grandmother's life-sustaining treatment.
But while he was busy buying diamonds for his new mistress, the pressure of his emotional abuse caused me to lose our child.
His mistress broke into my grandmother's hospital room and threw explicit photos of her and Julian in my grandmother's face. My grandmother died from shock.
Julian knew nothing about this.
“Go home, Sienna. You’re pregnant. Stop making a scene, or I’ll cut off your grandmother’s medical bills tomorrow.”
When I found him, he arrogantly thought I was just throwing a tantrum.
He didn't know our child was gone.
He didn't know that my grandmother had passed away.
In front of all his men, I poured a glass of whiskey over his head, left the signed divorce papers on his table, and then boarded a one-way flight to Germany.
I will leave him forever.
