Chapter 4

He extended his arm out to Christine.

He grabbed her arm and led her into the stadium after entering the arena. He had a great time walking into the packed stadium while accompanied by a stunning woman. He saw that Christine had the exact same thought as him. She gave him a kind grin and seemed to take pleasure in the occasion. He escorted her into the arena and took her up the stairs to a viewing area where she could see her daughter. He became aware that others were looking at him and her as they ascended the stairs, and he wondered whether it was because he was with her.

Clare watched as they took a seat at the table. She gave them a wave when she saw they were watching. The coach brought his players onto the field as the first half was coming to a close so that they could get ready for the break. Before leading the team out onto the field, Clare gave a wave to the crowd.

They saw the victory of the drill team. As soon as she was announced as the Team Captain, Clare jumped and did the splits. Michael was shaken to his core.

He hushed Christine and said, "If I did that, you'd have to carry me off the field in tears." Christine nodded.

"Me too," she responded as she caught his gaze and continued talking.

Michael and Christine both showed their support for the drill squad by cheering them on. Nobody mistook the cries they were making for those of football fans.

As the terrible football group was about to take the field, the drill team packed up and fled. Clare gave a friendly wave as she walked in.

In his ear, Christine hushed him and said, "Let's leave."

No football? What about Michael?

Michael put out his hand to gesture. Christine reached out and grabbed it.

"Shall we?"

"Let's depart. The man Clare is dating has already made four interceptions with his throws.

Michael laughed at her and then assisted her in leaving. He was aware of more than one set of eyes on them.

They did not engage in much conversation as they traveled back home. Both seemed to be processing what had occurred earlier in the evening.

She was conscious of the fact that she desired him. This evening had shown that he was an admirable . He was able to carry on a conversation, he had a sense of humor, and he was about as adorable as a button. She couldn't help but wonder whether or not he was as as wonderful in bed as he was outside of it.

Michael guided her vehicle into the driveway using the parking brake. She put her hand on the door doorknob and tried to open it.

"Wait!" he yelled out. "There might be spies working for my mother!"

She couldn't help but laugh, but she held her laughter in check as she waited for him to exit the vehicle, come around to her side, and open the door for her. She accepted his offer of a hand, and then she got out of the vehicle using his assistance.

"Thanks. "I'm sure your mother is looking down on you with pride right now," she assured him.

"God, I pray that it is. She would whip me with a leather strap when I was a child. "If there's anything I did wrong, I'd appreciate it if you wouldn't tell her," he joked to her.

She said to him, "If she were here, I would sing your praises," as she started going toward the home.

She turned around and heard him remark, "That's nice to know,"

She turned the key in the lock and opened the door for them both. It had not yet reached its peak. When she glanced at the clock, she saw that it was only 9:30. She was surprised.

Once they went inside, she said that it was still early. "Would you want to watch some TV, or do anything else?"

He said, "That sounds excellent."

Christine proceeded to take a seat on the sofa. She invited him to join her by gesturing with a pat of her palm for him to take a seat next to her. He made his way over to the sofa and sat down next to her. After living with them for about a month,  he had never been this intimate with her. The few occasions that he had watched television with them, he did it either on the love seat or in the chair that was set apart from the others. Throughout it all, he had maintained a very courteous demeanor.

Christine discovered a romantic comedy asked  whether he would be interested in seeing it.

He responded with "Sure"

The movie immediately began playing once she clicked the button on the screen to accept the purchase agreement. After just a few brief seconds, the previews began to play. Even before the movie began, she had the premonition that the first fifteen minutes were going to be complete garbage.

She took a long breath as she turned to Michael and gazed intently into his beautiful blue eyes. She then took another deep breath.

She spoke in a trembling voice, saying, "Michael, I want to thank you for today."

He began to react by saying, "Oh, that was nothing..."

"Michael, believe me," she pleaded with him, "It was something  It was quite significant to me in many ways. You cooked for me, you accompanied me to the football game like a hero in shining armor, and you made me feel better than I had in the last five years. Believe me when I say that I am indebted to you for everything."

"Alright, then... "," he stuttered, at a loss for words for the first time in his life.

She moved closer to him and gave him a kiss on the lips in an innocent manner.

After they had severed their touch, she said the word "thanks."

Michael didn't utter a thing. He brought her closer to himself by wrapping his arm around her neck and bringing her toward him. His lips came in contact with hers. In contrast to the gentle kiss she had just given him, she could feel his lips pressing firmly on hers. His lips were desperately trying to find hers. She could feel his tongue searching for hers as it passed past his lips. She opened her mouth a little further and experienced a jolt of excitement as their tongues met.
