Chapter 1
Chapter one- pack judgement
Anabelle Pov
“This lady is unprepared, according to our pack tradition, a lady cannot rule the Kam kingdom,”
My Uncle, Aiden Raven spoke calmly, the kind of calmness that carried poison beneath it.
Standing before the council and elders, with his hands folded behind his back, like he already owned the throne.
“A woman who cannot control her emotions, nor her father's legacy, will bring an end to the pack as our Luna,” Raven's voice echoed.
Elders gathered round the table, their faces carrying the tension of the hall.
“That's true! We can't be ruled by a young lady,” one elder said with his face carved with tension.
“Our pack would be destroyed if such a thing were to happen.”
I knelt down in the middle of the hall, breathing heavily, my knee feeling the cold of the carved rock. This council has always been the place my late parents gathered, laughed and made decisions. But now it's filled with betrayal and tension.
Everyone in the hall held doubt… doubt carved by Raven.
“A Luna who can't control her emotions would bring danger to our people,” Uncle Raven declared.
My stomach tightened and my throat was dry.
A danger?!
What does that mean?
How would I be a danger to a kingdom I have always adored?
I wanted to scream at him, but I knew how manipulative Uncle Raven was. I cursed myself for breathing in the same atmosphere he was.
I kept my gaze on each of them, scanning the hall carefully, trying not to shake in the midst of the tension. I'm supposed to be strong, my dad's only daughter. I'm supposed to be the next Luna.
“Why can't I be the pack’s Luna?” I asked, managing to counter my uncle's voice.” My voice ran out, shaky.
Uncle smirked, “is that a question?”
“But I've been destined for the future Luna of this pack, it's my right by birth.”
“I am Anabelle Aiden, the only daughter of late Alpha Aiden. No one tried questioning my dad's decisions or actions. But why now?”
“Anabelle no one is questioning your late dad's decisions, but your uncle Raven's opinion is valid, as the beta of Kam kingdom.”
“You’re a young lady, being Luna is a terrible decision. You have no control over your emotions nor your father's legacy!” the elders roared out.
“Anabelle you're more focused on your artistic skill, that's what you have control over.”
“Just focus on that. You are just a woman!” Raven said, his tongue out in disdain.
I looked at him in detest, my throat tightened, my wolf form was spiked by his constant manipulations. It's either the elders have been threatened or manipulated by his word.
“My talent can never affect my responsibilities of being the Luna of this pack, I can control my emotions just like my uncle.”
“Anabelle, don't question us further, it's tradition. In our tradition, we can never be ruled by only a Luna; we need an alpha who stands and makes decisions which enables the growth of our pack.” The elders said.
With their eyes holding much conviction. “Since the birth of your great forefathers, we've been led by a man, Alpha. This is the law, women are to abide by.”
“I was born by the Alpha himself. I have the bloodline of an Alpha. But just because I'm a woman, I can't rule?!” I said with a shaky voice.
“That's enough of this argument, Anabelle. I did not train you to question your elders!” Uncle Raven shouted.
I bowed my head in sorrow, my claws piercing the cold stone.
“There's only one way to become the Luna, Anabelle.” Elder Maros said slowly.
“The only way is to break through the cold-hearted Alpha of the fangspire pack.
That's the only way you can be the future Luna.” He declared.
“Alpha Roman is a cold-hearted man, with a strong hatred for women. Both of you are fated mates, betrothed before your birth. Being the Luna of this pack, means you have to get married to your fated mate.” Elder Maros declared.
The pack roared in agreement with that decision, and even my uncle cheered the idea up.
“This is a contract, Anabelle. You have five years to win his heart, to break his stone heart. After five years and you couldn't win his heart, all your father's legacy and kingdom would be taken from you.”
“This is the only way you can get access to his legacy and become our Luna.” Elder Maros concluded.
The elder nodded in agreement.
“Staying with Alpha Roman will give you structure and control over your emotions. As well as we will have an Alpha.” Elder Maros suggested.
My jaw clenched, and I could feel my wolf side burning with anger, the elders my dad once favored had betrayed me.
I lifted my head, but–” elders…”
“Our decision is final. You aren't allowed to counter that!” Uncle Raven cut me off.
The hall was filled with silence, their faces remained gravid.
“It's a contract, we're giving you one day to think about it. Once you've made a decision, another meeting will be held tomorrow.”
“Then you would sign the documents. That's the only way you get your father's legacy.” Elder Maros concluded.
“A contract document!” I exclaimed.
My mouth snapped shut, my body burning from heat, but only his name scared me off. Alpha of Fangspire, I have always heard about that name and how cruel he was to women.
After my parents told me that we are fated mates before they died. I already vowed never to be with him.
I hated him, before seeing him.
My eyes was almost dripping with tears.
Not here, Anabelle. Not in front of them.
I won't show that I'm weak. I said to myself.
“You've heard them, Anabelle,” Raven murmured. His words meant a venomous whisper to me. “If you want to protect what is meant for the Aiden family, you have to obey.”
Five years of training wasn't going to make me strong.
Five years of exile.
My body shivered, but I forced myself to be strong.
Kael Roman, allowing anything that isn't war hasn't been heard. Being a woman would even worsen it.
“Why would he take me?” I asked myself.
Raven smirked, his lips smiling like he had already won. This decision benefited him a lot, sending me to Fangspire would give him power over my father's legacy.
One day to decide felt like years; either I lost my father's legacy, or I lived with the ruthless Alpha of Fangspire.
The fear of making a decision overwhelmed me. Leaving with Alpha Roman was like a trap.
A trap I don't know where it leads to, a trap that would tame me or strengthen me.
One thing I knew was that I needed to melt his cold heart.
Going to the fangspire pack would change my life in either a good or bad way, but only fate knows what it holds in that place.

Once a pampered princess, Alaina now clutched a deactivated American Express card, staring out at Central Park. Her family’s fortune was gone, her life, over.
Her family's Hamptons estate, a four-generation legacy, was seized by Dyer Capital. The name hit her: Hardin Dyer, the poor boy she’d once scorned, had returned.
Hardin marched in, serving a divorce agreement. He'd orchestrated her family's downfall for revenge, giving her 24 hours to vacate his property. Penniless, her father faced prison, needing $50 million. Her mother forced her to beg Hardin, who sneered, offering the money for her body. Alaina ripped up the contract.
Hours later, her father had a heart attack. Desperate, she became "Lexi," a club girl enduring humiliation. In the Viper Room, Hardin's lackeys demanded she lick whiskey off his shoe for $10,000. Hardin watched. Outside, her brother Ashton's hand was threatened for a $3 million debt. Spirit shattered, Alaina returned, knelt on broken glass, offering to sign. But Hardin declared her family "dead," offering $10 million for her body, commanding her to use her mouth.
In a furious act of defiance, Alaina threw whiskey in his face, snatched the check, and fled. Yet, when he finally took her, a searing, foreign pain and blood on the sheets revealed a shocking truth: he had never touched her three years ago. Why had he let her believe such a monstrous lie?

One hundred years ago, the witches cursed every she-wolf to be barren.
It was vengeance for their slain matriarch. It was meant to end the war. Instead, it nearly ended the werewolf race.
Werewolves were forced to interbreed with humans to survive, and the once-proud kingdoms fractured. Only one bloodline remained untouched by the curse, the ancient Lycans of Lupenreich, protected by powerful shamanic magic. Coveted by werewolves, hunted by witches, despised by vampires, the Lycans became both salvation and threat.
And now, only one true heir remains...
Sybil von Rosen was never meant to grow up among humans. Born a Lycan princess through a human surrogate, she was stolen from the castle as an infant by the very woman meant to nurse her, a woman who turned out to be a witch.
Hidden beneath a powerful spell that caged her wolf and erased her scent from the supernatural world, Sybil was raised knowing exactly who she was... and exactly what she had been bred for.
A womb. A crown. Her bloodline's legacy.
But Sybil was never meant to be a broodmare queen.
She grew up human with the strength and senses of a shewolf and the magic of the witches, which got transferred to her while she was still in the womb of her surrogate.
She's strong, intelligent, disciplined, and lethal. An MMA champion. A combat instructor for a private military contractor. A woman who learned to fight before she ever learned to howl.
When the magic of her witch mother begins to fade, and the werewolf King finally tracks them down, Sybil is summoned back to a kingdom that remembers her only as its missing heir.
Betrayed by her hybrid fiancé, who abandoned her to marry the princess of their kingdom, Sybil made a decision that will shake three kingdoms.
She returned. Not for love. Not for duty. For revenge...
But the throne comes with chains.
Instead of marrying one Alpha, she is bound to four-the Alpha Guardians of Lupenreich. Ruthless. Powerful. Pureblood. Feared across kingdoms. And fate claims they are her mates.
There's only one problem.
Sybil cannot feel her wolf, for it was caged deep within her soul. She cannot smell her mates. She is a Lycan princess trapped in a wolfless body.
While her four Alphas believe they are claiming their future Luna and Queen, Sybil is already planning something far more dangerous.
She will not stand beside a king.
She will not be used to breed to secure bloodlines.
And she certainly will not be ruled.
If the kingdom wants a queen... They're about to kneel to a rebel queen.
Because Sybil von Rosen is not an ordinary Luna.
She is the last Lycan heir. The forbidden daughter of witches. The mate of four Alpha Guardians.
And she intends to take the throne for herself and will bow to no one.

I was kneeling on the cold concrete of an abandoned warehouse, staring at a ticking timer while a masked man held a knife to my throat. My fiancé's nephew, Preston, finally burst through the door, but he wasn't alone. He was clutching my stepsister, Felicia, both of them looking frantic.
The kidnapper gave Preston a brutal choice: the bomb was rigged to the door, and he could only take one woman with him. The other would stay behind to burn.
Without a single second of hesitation, Preston grabbed Felicia's hand and turned his back on me.
"I'm sorry, Annelise," he said, his voice flat and devoid of any real regret.
He slammed the heavy iron door shut, leaving me to scream in the darkness as the flames began to roar. He didn't just leave me to die; he did it to protect his inheritance, treating me like a piece of trash that was finally being cleared from his path.
Later, in the hospital, he didn't even offer an apology. Instead, he raised his hand to strike me, threatening to finish what the fire started if I dared to speak a word about his cowardice. His stepsister laughed, trying to pour scalding coffee on my face while calling me a pathetic loser who should have stayed in the warehouse.
I sat there, cowering and shaking like a broken girl, letting them believe they had won. I watched their cruelty with wide, watery eyes, wondering how they could be so blind to the monster they were provoking.
What Preston didn't know was that the entire kidnapping was a performance I had choreographed myself, and every second of his betrayal was recorded in 4K.
Now, I've successfully moved into the manor of the real king-his uncle, Francesco Lancaster. He thinks he's rescued a wounded bird, but he's actually invited a world-class predator into his home. The game is no longer about survival; it's about total destruction.

The world was a symphony of agony, played on the strings of my own body. I was tied to a chair in a damp basement, the metallic tang of blood filling my mouth as my fingernails were ripped from their beds by a pair of rusty pliers.
My best friend, Corrine, stepped into the flickering light wearing my favorite Chanel suit and the engagement ring that was supposed to be mine. Beside her, my fiancé Aldo held the pliers, his voice smooth and cultured as he demanded I sign over my entire inheritance to them.
As I struggled, a news report flashed on an old TV in the corner: Hunter Gallagher, the man I had treated like dirt but who had always tried to protect me, was dead in a horrific car explosion. Corrine laughed, whispering in my ear that they had lured him to his death using a fake kidnapping tip. He died trying to save me from a trap set by the people I trusted most.
They didn't just want my money; they wanted to erase me. They plunged a needle full of heroin into my neck, watching with cold, mocking eyes as my heart hammered against my ribs and finally seized into nothingness.
I died in that basement, a blind, spoiled girl who had let her true protector be murdered. As the darkness closed in, my soul burned with a single, silent vow: If I ever get another life, I will drag you both to hell with me.
Suddenly, I gasped for air, my lungs fighting against a weight that wasn't there. I wasn't in the basement; I was in my own bed, my fingernails intact and my skin unbroken. I checked my phone, and my heart stopped—it was May 20th, exactly one year before my death. Hunter was still alive, and this time, I wasn't the prey.
