Chapter 3

Elian's fingers drummed on the table repeatedly as Marie, his personal assistant, ran through the details of the ongoing shipment of weapons which seemed to be at stake at the moment. But Elian didn't hear anything Marie was saying, all her words were flying over his head as he kept staring at the screen of his phone that was on the table in front of him. It was almost as if he was expecting something.

Well, that's because he was.

And amidst all that, he mind kept replaying their wedding night fiasco. The way Dex's hand wrapped around his slender neck, the pressure, the heat, and most certainly, the way he breathed against his skin.

Elian had always known there was something between him and Dex, but he'd always refused to acknowledge it and covered it with a font named hate. And he was sure Dex did the same.

"Elian."

"Hmm" he responded automatically, finally looking at Marie who was standing across the table, giving him a stare.

He gave her a tight lipped smile and leaned back in his seat. "Sorry, I'm listening."

"No you were not." Marie said with a shake of her head and continued to read out from the pad.

"The shipment from Marseille arrived early this morning. There were minor delays at the port, but everything has been cleared. Though the men you assigned to oversee the eastern district reported increased suspicious activity, I'm yet to get the final feedback. And there's also the matter of the Rinaldi contract. They're requesting a meeting by the end of the-"

Elian's phone, which was resting on the table, pinged suddenly and Elian has never moved so fast in his life. Okay, maybe he has, but that's not the point. The point was the fact that he secretly tagged Dex's suit that morning before they both went their separate ways.

For no reason, Elian found himself wanting to know every ground Dex set his feet on, where he was going, and most especially, what he was doing there. And the tracker he put on Damian was meant to notify him whenever he went out of district.

Though the subtle smirk on his face immediately dropped to a deep frown when he saw the location Dex was currently at. His eyes scanned the screen again, as if making sure he read it correctly.

Velvet Sin.

A soft laugh bubbled in his chest. "Oh you've got to be fucking kidding me." He gritted out and stood up abruptly, alarming Marie.

The chair scraped against the polished floor and he grabbed his blazer, put it on and marched straight to the door, phone still gripped tightly in his hand.

"Elian-" Marie called, quickly following after him. "Where are you going? We still have-"

"To a Gay Club." He replied calmly as he walked out of the office, heading straight to the elevator. "My husband seems to think he can do whatever the fuck he wants despite being married. And I am on my way to show him he can't."

Marie blinked, confused. "Should I be..... worried?" She asked unsurely.

Elian walked into the elevator and turned to look at Marie, who had stopped outside. The smile that slowly crept to his lips sent a chill straight down her spine.

"Very." He said as the elevator doors slowly closed in their faces.

------

Elian strutted into the slightly filled club. His feline eyes scanned the crowd slowly, then he followed the furiously blinking dot on his screen, which led him to an enclosed door in the private sector.

He didn't knock. Because why would he? It was no fun. So he kicked the door open instead.

The first thing Elian saw burned itself into his mind instantly.

Dex was sitting very comfortably on the leather sofa. His shirt was unbuttoned and a lean, half naked boy sprawled across his lap like a blanket. The boy was whispering into Dex's ear, hands sliding on his thigh dangerously close to his crotch.

Elian's vision tinted red, and without a word, he raised his glock and pointed it at the back of the boy's head. Dex's eyes met his from across the room and his eyes widened in shock at the gun pointed towards them.

Dex reacted with a terrifying speed of light and grabbed the boy, shoved him violently off his lap just as Elian pulled the trigger.

The bullets missed the boy's head by an inch, shattering the crystal decanter of the bourbon behind the sofa. The boy screamed and frantically tried to get away, but Elian wasn't stopping, he kept firing again and again and again.

The shots were messy and wild, destroying the room as the terrified boy scrambled towards the exit.

"That's it, run you fucking bitch! I'll fucking kill you and carve your heart out!"

He never got the chance to.

Because, before Elian could re-aim, Dex slammed into his back and wrapped an arm around him like an iron band while the other grabbed Elian's wrist, twisting it with a brutal force and the gun clattered to the ground.

"Let me go! Let me go, you son of a bitch!" Elian screamed and jerked violently. He dug his feet to the floor and tried to throw Dex off. He watched in anger as the door clicked shut behind the boy and the failure made him even more feral.

"You need to calm the fuck down, Elian." Dex hissed into his ear.

"I need to calm down??" Elian asked, scoffing hysterically. He twisted his head and tried to bite Dex's shoulder. "You're the one fucking around not even 24 hours after our wedding. You fucking whore!"

"I wasn't fucking him." Dex growled, tightening his hold around Elian. "He was just giving me a lap dance. Did you really think I'd settle for a stray like that when I have a psychotic viper waiting for me at home?"

Liar.

Dex leaned closer into him, his voice dropped to a low, mocking tone. "You think you're so clever with your little toys don't you?" He said and Elian froze in his arms.

"Did you really think I wouldn't notice a GPS tag in my suit? I knew you were watching every moment I made the moment I left the house." He chuckled.

The realization that he's been played and lured here, right into Dex's sick trap felt like a slap.

"I wanted to see if you'd come." Dex said, a smirk very obvious in his tone. "I wanted to see how long it would take you to start following me around like a bitch in heat. And look at you, I've got you right where I want you, right under my control."

The word 'control' snapped something inside Elian. With a surge of sudden anger and strength, he slammed his elbow into Dex's ribs and his grip loosened enough for Elian to twist himself free and grabbed his gun from the floor and bolted towards the door.

"I'm gonna kill that bitch, just fucking watch me!"

He didn't even take two steps before Dex grabbed him again and hurled him to the sofa, pinning him down with his weight. The impact knocked the wind out of Elian as Dex used his full body weight to pin him down, his hands pinning Elian's hands above his head.

"Look at you." Dex sneered, his face barely inches away from Elian's face. "The big bad virelli heir, behaving like a desperate, possessive little wife. You claim to hate me but you can't even handle another man touching me for five minutes."

Dex's eyes were filled with triumph, his ego was feeding on Elian's undeniable miserableness. "You're so fucking pathetic. Just admit it, you're addicted to me."

Elian didn't argue. He just simply narrowed his eyes, pulled his head back and slammed his forehead into the bridge of Dex's nose with a sickening crack.

Dex grunted at the pain, throwing his head to the back and stumbling to his feet. His hand immediately flew to his face and when he pulled them away, blood coated his fingers.

Dex stood there for a second in shock. Then he wiped his nose with his hand and slowly looked up to meet Elian's heated gaze. Instead of rage, a wild, sickenly twisted grin spread across Dex's face. He looked like a man who had just hit the jackpot.

"That's it." Dex whispered, voice thick with dark delight. "There's my husband."
