Rejected Mate's Triple Vengeance

My mate, Alpha Solomon of the Taylor Pack, was beside himself when his Luna, Luciana, was abducted. When she was found, she was already carrying another wolf’s pup. Despite my own heavily rounded belly, Solomon forced me to sign the papers to sever our mate bond. “The healer said Luna Luciana’s condition is delicate. If she loses the pup, she might never conceive again,” he said, his alpha tone heavy with authority. “I’ll continue to provide for you and the child, but I must be a father to Luciana’s pup.” I looked at the Alpha who had once vowed to stand by me for eternity and agreed without hesitation. Solomon had no idea this was my third life. This time, I was determined to protect my child and live well. The words I had prepared to confront him went unused. Solomon seemed momentarily stunned, then his dark eyes narrowed, his voice sharp.

Chapter 1

My mate, Alpha Solomon of the Taylor Pack, was beside himself when his Luna, Luciana, was abducted. When she was found, she was already carrying another wolf’s pup. Despite my own heavily rounded belly, Solomon forced me to sign the papers to sever our mate bond.

“The healer said Luna Luciana’s condition is delicate. If she loses the pup, she might never conceive again,” he said, his alpha tone heavy with authority. “I’ll continue to provide for you and the child, but I must be a father to Luciana’s pup.”

I looked at the Alpha who had once vowed to stand by me for eternity and agreed without hesitation. Solomon had no idea this was my third life. This time, I was determined to protect my child and live well.

The words I had prepared to confront him went unused. Solomon seemed momentarily stunned, then his dark eyes narrowed, his voice sharp. “Don’t think of trying anything. If word gets out and affects Luciana, you’ll regret it.”

My fingernails dug into my palm as memories of my past two lives flashed vividly in my mind. After a brief silence, I seized the chance to make a demand. “I’ll agree to sever the bond, but you must put it in writing that I retain custody of the child.”

Solomon agreed without a second thought. The pack lawyer quickly amended the agreement, and after verifying the details, I signed my name. In the next instant, Solomon snatched the papers, a satisfied smirk on his face as he eagerly pulled out his phone to call Luciana.

At the door, he turned back, his alpha tone commanding. “You should move out as soon as possible. I won’t have you upsetting Luciana or stressing her out.”

Watching his resolute figure retreat, I could only smile bitterly, feeling a profound sense of irony. In my first life, I naively hoped that once the pup was born, our bond could be saved. My desperate attempts to hold on led to Luciana failing to become Luna, and her scandalous affair for the pup became public knowledge. Unable to bear the scrutiny, she leaped from a cliff.

Solomon’s reaction was indifferent. After attending her funeral, he never mentioned it again. Until my pup’s one-month celebration, rogues took us both, demanding a hefty ransom from Solomon. He not only refused their demands but callously listened to my suffering.

It was at that moment I realized he wanted me and the pup to pay for Luciana’s life. In my second life, I accepted the bond severance, taking the settlement to survive with my pup. Yet, when Luciana lost her pup, he let her unleash her anger on me. My newborn and I were locked in the pack’s stables, ultimately trampled to death by a startled horse.

Gently caressing my rounded belly, I resolved that this time, I would sever all ties with those two. Suddenly, a loud knock came at the door. Before I could react, several pack members, led by Jayleen, barged in, glaring at me with hostility.

“Maia,” Jayleen sneered, her tone dripping with disdain. “We need to clean the room. Get out.”

I hadn’t even received the official bond severance papers, and I was no longer worthy of being addressed as Luna. Taking a deep breath, I turned to pack my things. As I picked up a few pup clothes, Jayleen snatched them away.

“These were bought with the pack’s funds,” she spat, shoving the clothes into a garbage bag. “You have no right to take them.”

At her signal, a younger pack member dragged a battered suitcase and tossed it at my feet. “These are the only things you can take. Leave.”

As I stumbled, the zipper burst open. A few filthy, tattered clothes tumbled out, sliding down the stairs, faintly emitting a rancid odor.

“By the Moon Goddess,” someone exclaimed. “Alpha Solomon, what is this? It stinks and is disgusting.”

I clenched my fists, my wolf growling faintly in the back of my mind. This time, I wouldn’t let them break me. This time, I would fight for my pup and my freedom.

I had never had it turned on me. Until tonight. He was already dressed. I was still sitting on the edge of his bed, my hair loose, the sheets warm behind me, the room thick with the scent of honeysuckle and rain — my scent, the one he had told me once, in a rare unguarded moment, that he could pick out from three territories away. He was standing at the window with his back to me, and something about the set of his shoulders made my wolf go very quiet inside my chest. "I'm taking Natalie Larson as my chosen mate," he said.

I’ve always been upfront. When I found flirty messages between Christian, my mate and the Alpha of the Silver Moon Pack, and a girl I didn’t recognize on his phone, I didn’t stew over it. I handed the phone to him and demanded an explanation. After a long pause, he admitted, "She’s someone I rescued during a rogue attack—a Delta from the Shadow Fang Pack. She’s been struggling with depression. I’ve developed some feelings for her. But Violeta, we’ve been through so much together, from our first meeting as pups to this stage in life. I promise to keep my distance from her now." Christian’s sincere eyes met mine, and despite the hurt, I chose to forgive him, allowing the marking ceremony to proceed as planned. On the day of the ceremony, however, his Beta, Kannon, suddenly burst into the grand hall: "Alpha, Emersyn found out about the marking ceremony and is threatening to jump!" The ceremonial pendant slipped from my fingers and landed on the floor as Christian dashed out like a bolt of lightning. Through my tears, I shouted after him, "Christian, if you walk out that door today, it’s over between us!" He hesitated briefly but then left without looking back.
