Rejected By The Alpha, Carrying His Secret Pup

Rejected By The Alpha, Carrying His Secret Pup

On our third anniversary, I found out I was pregnant with Alpha Graves's heir, a miracle for my wolfless body. But when I went to the Grand Hall to share the news, I found him tenderly holding his "dead" first love, Davina. He declared I was just a useless placeholder to appease his grandmother and prepared to sever our mate bond. He immediately moved Davina into our estate and ordered our marriage portrait torn down. He treated me with absolute cruelty, forcing a toxic herbal brew down my throat that could kill my unborn pup, and even watched coldly as a rival Alpha physically harassed me at a dinner. The entire Pack mocked me as a soon-to-be Rogue, while Graves used his Alpha Command to trap me. "If you dare leave before I officially complete the Rejection, I will make your home Pack pay." I gave up my entire life and my design empire to be his devoted wife, only to be thrown out like garbage the moment his true love returned. If he ever found out about the Lycan heir growing inside me, he would surely lock me away and tear my child from my arms. I won't let him destroy us. I secretly destroyed the pregnancy report and called my best friend. I am accepting his Rejection, taking my baby, and returning to the top of the fashion world as Sloane Todd.

Chapter 6

Aurelia POV The heavy double doors clicked shut, sealing me inside the Luna's Chambers. The air was instantly suffocating, thick with Graves's dominant scent—an intoxicating, terrifying blend of an impending storm and rich leather. Trembling, I bypassed the center of the room and crawled onto the massive four-poster bed. I pressed my body against the absolute farthest edge, leaving a vast, empty chasm of cold silk sheets between me and where he would sleep. I curled into a tight ball, wrapping my arms protectively over my flat stomach. The bathroom door opened. Graves stepped out, a towel slung low on his hips, water droplets tracing the hard lines of his chest. He stopped. His deep, glacial eyes locked onto the massive gap I had deliberately created. For a fraction of a second, a raw, visceral pain flashed across his face. His Inner Wolf was stinging, deeply offended and wounded by its Fated Mate's physical rejection. But Graves was an Alpha. He instantly twisted that primal ache into a towering, silent rage. The temperature in the room plummeted. He didn't say a single word. A low, feral growl vibrated in his chest—a sound that made my bones rattle. He turned on his heel, grabbed a pair of sweatpants, and stormed out of the room. The heavy doors slammed shut behind him with a violent crash that shook the entire estate. I let out a shaky breath, the crushing weight of his aura finally dissipating. He was going to sleep in his study. I was safe for the night, but the fragile, frayed bond between us had just snapped a little more. The next morning, I tried to slip out of the estate early to formally resign at the office. I didn't make it past the grand foyer. Graves was sitting on a plush leather sofa, dressed in a bespoke charcoal suit, flipping through a stack of documents. He didn't even look up as his voice sliced through the cold marble hall. "Change your clothes. You're coming with me." I froze. "To where? I thought Arnold Hebert usually accompanies you to your morning meetings." Graves finally looked at me, his eyes devoid of any warmth. He stood up, his imposing frame casting a dark shadow over me. "You wanted the honors of a Luna, didn't you?" he sneered, his voice dripping with venomous mockery. "You ran to my grandmother for them. Now you have them. Go get the files from my study." "Graves, I never—" "*Go,*" he commanded. The Alpha's Command washed over me, an invisible, crushing weight that forced my legs to move against my will. He truly believed I had manipulated Elder Cecelia. The miscommunication between us was a toxic, impenetrable wall, and I was too exhausted to tear it down. An hour later, I found myself trapped in a private suite at 'The Obsidian Table', an exclusive restaurant for the supernatural elite. The dim lighting and the heavy scent of rich food, alcohol, and aggressive Alpha pheromones made my morning sickness threaten to surface. We were meeting with Alpha Marcus Thorne of the Crimson Fang Pack. The moment Marcus walked in, my stomach churned. He reeked of stale cigars and dirty musk. His predatory eyes immediately zeroed in on me, his nostrils flaring as he realized I was completely wolfless. Without warning, Marcus slid into the chair right next to mine. His large, clammy hand clamped down on my wrist, forcing me to stay seated as I instinctively tried to pull away. Panic spiked in my chest. I shot a desperate, pleading look at Graves, who was sitting directly across from us. Graves saw it. He saw Marcus touching me. But instead of intervening, Graves's jaw clenched, and he deliberately turned his head away, engaging in a mundane conversation with one of Marcus's subordinates. My heart shattered into a million jagged pieces. "A wolfless Luna," Marcus whispered, leaning in so close I could feel his hot, foul breath on my cheek. His grip on my wrist tightened painfully. "You must know exactly how to please an Alpha to get a seat at this table. You'd better cooperate with me, little girl, or I might just have to decline this WorldLink Group merger." I was completely isolated. My Fated Mate, the man who was biologically wired to protect me, had intentionally thrown me into the jaws of another predator just to punish me. I pressed my free hand against my stomach, my body trembling violently as Marcus's other hand began to slide dangerously close to my thigh.

It was a cruel, year-long revenge game orchestrated by him and his lover, and I was the punchline. For their amusement, I was poisoned with food contaminated with dog feces, publicly humiliated with a twenty-million-dollar auction scam, and beaten until my ribs broke by his family's private security. I endured it all, playing the part of the clueless, loving wife while they laughed about it in a group chat called "The Jillian Andrews Comedy Hour." But their grand finale was a step too far. I overheard him calmly planning to leave me to die in a remote cabin during a blizzard, a "tragic accident" that would finally set him free to be with his mistress. It was a perfect, fragile lie. The lie shattered on a Tuesday when I discovered my fiancé, Ivan, wasn't at a board meeting but at a sprawling mansion with Kiera Reese, the woman I was told had a mental breakdown five years ago after trying to frame me. She wasn' t disgraced; she was radiant, holding a little boy, Leo, who giggled in Ivan' s arms. I overheard their conversation: Leo was their son, and I was merely a "placeholder," a means to an end until Ivan no longer needed my family's connections. My parents, the Donovans, were in on it, funding Kiera' s lavish life and their secret family. My entire reality-the loving parents, the devoted fiancé, the security I thought I' d found-was a carefully constructed stage, and I was the fool playing the lead role. The casual lie Ivan texted me, "Just got out of the meeting. So exhausting. I miss you. See you at home," while he stood beside his real family, was the final blow. They thought I was pathetic. The Brilliant Pathologist And Her Stoic Cop
7.2
Dr. Kylee Mcdonald was a brilliant medical examiner whose life was defined by cold, mechanical precision. But that perfect control shattered when her phone rang in the middle of an autopsy. It was her best friend, Dana, whispering their old college distress code. "Curtain call." By the time Kylee and Detective Justice kicked down Dana's door, she lay dead on her couch, her skin a horrifying cherry-red from cyanide. The crime scene was clumsily staged to frame a billionaire suitor, but soon, every single suspect linked to Dana turned up violently dead. Internal Affairs pointed the finger at Kylee, accusing her of using her medical expertise to become a vigilante serial killer. But the encrypted truth Kylee uncovered was far more chilling. Dana had been severely abused by her boyfriend, and driven to the edge, she manipulated him into murdering their tormentors before executing him and taking her own life. To avoid a public scandal, the police chief buried Dana's brilliant, terrifying manifesto. Kylee's flawless mind short-circuited. She was a genius at reading the dead, so why had she been completely blind to the living hell her best friend endured right in front of her? Three days later, while attending a formal gala to numb her grief, a nearby apartment building exploded in flames. As Kylee examined the charred bodies pulled from the rubble, she realized the male victim was strangled long before the fire started. She looked at the surviving mother, whose baby had just died in the blast, but the woman's eyes were completely, terrifyingly empty. The alarm bells in Kylee's meticulously ordered brain began to chime, signaling that a new, deadly script had just begun.
