Chapter 1

My best friend and I were thrown into the beast tribe where females were rare and the law was polyandry.

Last time, she chose the alluring serpent man as her mate, while I chose the loyal wolf man as mine. Her harem grew, her mate got jealous and caged her underground. My mate cherished me, and when he became chieftain, he placed the tribe at my feet.

That was until my best friend shoved me off a cliff.

I woke up back to the day of choosing our mates. She claimed my wolf man with a triumphant smile, in return, I simply pointed to the white tiger priest.

Being the wife of the chieftain was too small a dream, after all.

In a world where females rule, I'll take the throne.

I was reborn after my best friend pushed me off a cliff.

When we woke up, we realized we were back to the day we first arrived in the beast tribe.

I could hear the voice of the old chieftain of the white tigers the moment I opened my eyes.

"All unmated males of the white tiger tribe are here. You two precious females may choose whomever you like," he said.

We were still confused about the situation back then.

Luckily, we could understand their language.

My best friend, Autumn Cox, was a modern-day thrill-seeking romance expert.

Once she understood what the chieftain meant, she almost instantly chose a handsome and elegant serpent man.

"What a piece of cake! What's there to be afraid of?" she whispered to me, clearly excited.

This tribe was probably a paradise to her.

She then glanced at the rest, and she said, "Lynn, you're soft by nature. Don't choose someone too attractive. It would be awful if another woman stole him. Those plain-looking ones seem nice."

She pointed at the plain-looking males.

However, I did take her advice.

It was not because I was scared someone would steal my mate; instead, it was because there was a wolf-like man among them.

It was said that the wolf tribe was extremely loyal to their mates. They would only have one mate for life.

I knew that if I chose him, I would not need to worry that Autumn might steal him from me.

Surely enough, my wolf man stayed loyal in our past life. He ignored all her attempts to lure him.

Autumn resented that.

She condescendingly said, "Lynn, your wolf man is so stubborn. He can't tell the good from bad; he's so dumb."

I only smiled and did not disagree with her.

She was right to say that the wolf tribe had a one-track mind when it came to their mates.

However, she was dead wrong to call him dumb.

He would not have used me to achieve anything in the tribe if he were dumb. In the end, he rose to become chieftain.

Autumn never knew that the wolf man kept me under strict watch.

This time, she pointed at the wolf man without hesitation as soon as the chieftain finished explaining. She said, "I want him to be my mate."

The wolf man was surprised to hear that.

Typically, the wolf men were considered less than mid-tier in the white tiger tribe.

The females usually would not consider a wolf man as their mate.

The other males were upset to see Autumn choose the wolf man.

"He's only a low-ranked wolf man. How can he be worthy of you?" a bear man grumbled while he pounded on his chest.

The wolf man looked tense and slightly insecure.

However, Autumn smiled and walked toward the wolf man. She said, "I want him. I believe my choice will be the best."

She did not forget to whisper to me before she left, "Lynn, this time I'll be the chieftain's wife."

I stayed silent and watched her hold his hand.

The wolf man looked at her with gratitude, and then he howled excitedly.

The other males glared at the lucky wolf man with jealousy before they looked at me with anticipation.

I glanced at them, then my gaze stopped at the serpent man.

Autumn had a gleam in her eyes when she noticed that. She told me, "Lynn, the serpent man is good in bed. You're inexperienced, maybe you should choose him, so you can avoid suffering when getting laid."

I declined her suggestion with a smile.

"No, you know I dislike boneless creatures," I said.

Then, I pointed to the tall and muscular white tiger next to the serpent man.

"I want him," I said.

The white tiger and the chieftain looked pleased to hear me say that.

Autumn could not help but smirk.

I knew what she was thinking about.

The white tiger I chose was not only the priest of the white tiger tribe but also the son of the chieftain.

He was supposed to be the heir of the white tiger tribe.

However, in our past life, the white tiger priest suffered an ambush by the lion tribe while he was out hunting. The white tiger priest was severely injured, and he died from infection.

His death was the reason why I was able to help my wolf man become chieftain.

However, I would not let the white tiger priest die so tragically again.

He would be my sharpest blade.

Unlike Autumn, being the wife of the chieftain meant nothing to me.

Since females could have such high statuses, there would be nothing wrong with me being their queen.

I only wanted to take control, and my fate would be mine alone.
