Reborn: Contract Marriage With The Dark Alpha King
Chapter 4
Gianna POV
Alpha Axel. Proposing marriage to him wasn't entirely out of desperation to escape Alpha Nathan. Although I was desperate, I knew what Alpha Axel wanted. In the past, he had a relationship with Quinn because of my family bloodline, thinking that Quinn was my parents true daughter, not knowing that she was adopted. In the past, because of how dangerous Alpha Axel is, I made a deal with him because of Alpha Nathan, back when he was my husband, to stop Alpha Axel from destroying the pack simply because he felt deceived by Quinn. I had to let him study my bloodline and take samples of my blood; Nathan didn't allow me to do anything more than that.
"Is she ready?" Camilla asked; she was Alpha Axel's mother, but she looks nothing like her son.
"Yes, ma'am," the maid who was dressing me up in my wedding gown said as she zipped up the gown quickly.
"Come on, dear, I'm here to escort you to the ceremony." Camilla said sweetly.
Only a day had passed since I got to Moonlight Pack, and Camilla hadn't done anything to make me want to stay clear of her; still, I couldn't shake off the gut feeling I had that I needed to be wary of this nice woman. It was strange because she was Axel's mother, and she was so nice to everyone.
Alpha Axel wasn't kidding when he said that our wedding will be held as soon as possible. As I walked down to the altar where Alpha Axel was already standing, waiting for me, I searched around the crowd hoping that I could see a familiar face, even if it was just one, but there was no one from my family, no one from my pack. My wedding with Alpha Axel wasn't only rushed, but I had no one to support me. Most of Axel's pack members didn't show up, and he didn't care. Those that showed up had a questionable look on their face; some of them didn't bother to hide their frown. They probably didn't approve of the stranger their alpha had brought into the pack to be their Luna, but no one could stand against Alpha Axel's decision to marry me, not after he had quickly announced to everyone that I was his mate after bringing me to the pack. Although this wasn't my dream wedding, I needed the safety that came with marrying alpha Axel. I held my chest as Alpha Axel took my hand on the altar. This wedding didn't mean anything to the both of us; still, I couldn't push away the pain I felt from being alone, from having no one to stand by my side. A part of me wished my parents were here, even though I knew that my silly wishes were dreams that would never come true.

alpha Nathan POV
Quinn grabbed my face and laid little kisses on my cheekbone all the way to my lip. I pulled my face from hers; I wasn't in the mood. She didn't give up and continued trailing kisses on my skin. She kissed my neck, my chest, and down to my waist. She wanted to unbuckle my belt, but I stopped her.
"Okay, what is wrong?!" Quinn asks in frustration.
"Nothing is wrong." I lied, "A lot is going on in my mind; that's all."
Everything felt wrong; I didn't understand what was wrong with me; perhaps I was acting like this because I was still in shock because Gianna rejected me. I thought she was deeply in love with me and that no matter how much I screwed up behind her back, she wouldn't stand up to me. Everyone in the pack knew who Gianna was. She wasn't feisty; she wasn't bold either. Her personality was the type that was willing to please everyone, regardless of who they were. But yesterday, my Gianna was a completely different woman.
"I heard news from Moonlight Pack that my sister is getting married to that man today."
Quinn sat down on my lap and rested her body on my chest. She was in her lingerie, but I felt no lust towards her body like I always do. Knowing that my mate was getting married to another man broke a part of my heart, and I didn't understand why, because I have never wanted her; I have always been sure that I have never wanted Gianna ever since I found out that she was my mate. The only reason I couldn't reject her all this while was because of the relationship her parents had with my father; being with Gianna had always made me wish Quinn was my mate instead of her.
"Why are you being so quiet?" Quinn asked in a playful tone, "I thought you would be overjoyed because you finally got rid of her."
Quinn's words made me feel nauseous: "Get up." I pushed her away from my lap and took a deep breath. My fingers ran through my hair in frustration as I questioned myself, 'What is wrong with me?!' I wanted this. I have always wanted Gianna out of my life, yet when she rejected me, I couldn't bring myself to accept her rejection, almost as though I didn't want her to leave.
Quinn knelt on the floor between my legs and ran her hand up my lap. I stopped her hands; I needed to think, and she was disturbing me. She gave me a suggestive smile and said in a seductive tone, "My sister is finally gone; this is good for us. Now you can get married to me and make me your lun_"
I stood up from the chair and walked towards the window of my office; just like the door, it was locked. My relationship with Quinn could never be brought out in the open. "I can't get married to you; your father will never approve."
"My parents love me, and they are willing to do anything for me."
I placed both of my hands in the pocket of my trousers and sighed. This whole mess was my fault; I shouldn't have given Quinn hopes that I would marry her if I ever got the chance to.
"Even if you somehow got your parents to agree, what would members of the pack say? As an alpha, I can't bring a bad reputation to my family name; you are Gianna's younger sister."
"They won't condemn you; after all, you are the alpha. You are allowed to do whatever you want, and besides, everyone in the pack knows that Gianna was the one who left you."
"Let me think about it." I lied.
Quinn frowned almost as though she could tell that I was lying.
When I had spoken to Quinn about wanting to marry her instead of Gianna, I thought I meant it, but now, I feel so confused.
