Reborn: Contract Marriage With The Dark Alpha King

Gianna Benton, a woman who came from a great family, a family with ancient history, had always lived a life that's overshadowed by her younger sister, Quinn. After her unfair death with her unborn baby at the hands of the man she loved, Gianna got reborn. Now with the opportunity to live again, Gianna rejects her mate and gives herself to alpha Axel, falling into an unexpected contract marriage. Both plans to use each other, and falling in love isn't part of the deal for them. Gianna plans to get her revenge on her former lover, alpha Nathan, who killed her in the past because of her younger sister, but surprisingly to her, alpha Nathan wants his mate back, and Gianna is determined not to let the past repeat itself. —------------------------------------------------ "Is this hell?" "Gianna, what's wrong with you? I know that you are excited, but you need to stop acting weird." Mom said. I reach out my hands to touch her face, but she slaps my hands away. This is real, I thought. Somehow, I have gone back in time to the day I got married to Alpha Nathan. "I need to take a picture of you, but I can't do it without your sister. Wait here for me while I go get your sister." Mom left the room, leaving me alone with my thoughts. My hands formed a fist in anger as I thought of Quinn and Alpha Nathan. I don't know how I have traveled back to the past, but I'm not going to let myself make the same mistake I did in my past life; I'm not getting married to alpha Nathan. No matter what, I need to put a stop to this wedding

Chapter 3

Alpha Axel POV

Gianna broke the kiss; it felt like a quick peck to the lips. She had a fearful look on her face; I didn't know if she was afraid of me or if she was afraid of her mate, who froze in place behind her. Either way, I found her situation amusing.

I curled my hand on her head and smashed my lips against hers. She didn't fight against me but gave in easily and allowed me to slowly kiss her in front of her mate. Her lips were soft and tempted me with desires to devour her mouth with my tongue, but I resisted the urge and slowly pulled away. The thumb of my fingers moves through her red cheeks. This time I couldn't stop the amused smile from coming to my lips.

"Gianna?!" Alpha Nathan's voice was broken; the expression on his face made me feel like kissing his mate again. "What is this? How could you have done this to me on our wedding day?"

I left Gianna as she turned around and faced her mate; for a second, she looked guilty, but the emotions were quickly replaced by anger and hatred. "What you did is even worse."

I made hand gestures to his neck, where the female wolf he had sex with left a noticeable love bite for his mate to see. As an alpha, my senses were stronger than other werewolves, the scent of another woman wrapped strongly around him, to show that his curseful betrayal has been recent, and yet he wants to play the victim and act as though he was innocent.

A pale look flashed on Alpha Nathan's face as he tried to use his hand to cover what had been left on his neck; the love bite left him with shame; his hand couldn't save the relationship he had already destroyed.

"I, Gianna Benton, reject you, alpha Nathan Holland, as my mate." Gianna said in a cold tone, If she felt any pain from her words, she didn't show it. "This wedding isn't happening," she stated firmly, and strangely at that moment, I thought she was cool.

Gianna Benton. I knew who she was before she had bumped into me by mistake. Secretly, I have been doing research about her family and the mysterious blood that flows in their veins that makes her family special and well respected for generations. When Alpha Nathan sent me his wedding invitation, I didn't want to come, but using his invitation as an excuse to come to his pack and find a wife, Gianna's sister, to be exact, was too perfect to miss out on. What I didn't know was that what I wanted would come running to me.

If Gianna thinks that I'm going to let her go after the words she muttered to me, then she was dreaming; I'm never letting her go, not after she willingly threw herself at me.

Alpha Nathan gave out a dry laugh; his regret was replaced by anger as he said, "You reject me?" He questioned in disbelief, "Who do you think you are to reject me?" He had a mad look in his eyes as he slowly approached Gianna.

She trembles slightly as she moves her body backwards, closer to me. Her pitiful situation was perfect, because once I saved her from her crazy mate, she would feel indebted to me and would be willing to marry me, not that she had a choice either way; I was going to make sure that I got what I wanted.

"Back off." I stood between Alpha Nathan and Gianna.

Alpha Nathan was angry, but his sense wasn't totally gone, because he didn't make any attempts to attack me. I was in the mood to please the woman who was hiding behind me so that I could use her without her knowledge. If Alpha Nathan let himself make the mistake of attacking me, I was to make sure that I put on a nice show, although we were both alphas; not all alphas were equal, and Alpha Nathan is far below me.

Alpha Nathan sighed heavily, roughly ran his finger through his hair in frustration, and said softly, "Come back to me, Gianna; let's forgive each other and move on away from this." He stretched his hand out for Gianna to take hold of it, but she ignored him and didn't even bother to look his way.

I smirk at Alpha Nathan, his mate is mine now, and to prove that to him, I repeat his actions and say to Gianna, "Come to me." She took my hand.

"Gianna, if you reject me, you are never going to find another mate, never again; no man would want to love a weak woman like you."

Gianna chuckled as she placed a hand on my chest. "I already found another mate; Alpha Axel is my second chance mate." She stared into my eyes pleadingly. I was so impressed with how smoothly she lied; it sounded so true that I would have believed her if I were Alpha Nathan.

"I didn't come here to attend your wedding; I came to take my mate away." I held Gianna's hand. "We are getting married tomorrow; of course you are invited, Alpha Nathan. The wedding might end up happening today if my mate insists. I brushed a piece of Gianna's hair that was covering her eyes; the shock on her face was amusing. "After all, I know that she can't wait to get married."

Nathan walked away; he was speechless.

"Are you sure about this?" beta Carl asked, and he looked at me through the rearview mirror from the driver's seat. "It's not too late for you to change your mind; our plan was to get her sister, not her." He said in a stubborn manner, "From what I heard, her sister is better than her. As alpha, you must be careful with who you choose to be your Luna."

I smiled at Carl's lecture; he was making a big deal out of nothing. I wasn't marrying because of love; "It doesn't matter which of the sisters becomes my Luna; all that matters is the blood that flows in their veins."

Gianna was outside the car talking with her parents, who were probably giving her good advice to run away from me. I was waiting in the car; my car was soundproof, so my conversation with Carl couldn't be heard. After Alpha Nathan's rejection, he lied to his pack members that Gianna cheated on him with me, and because of that he was breaking off their marriage. His pack members, along with Gianna's parents, hated her. I'm so happy that they resented her and want her out of their pack; that way she won't have silly thoughts of coming back to her pack after leaving with me.

"Let's go, Carl," I said after Gianna sat down in the car.

She was nervous as she turned to me and said, "About the wedding..."

"There's no negotiation about that; you begged me, and I accepted," I held her chin. "I'm the one who is in charge of the time and day of our wedding; take it as payment for my services. What I did earlier with you wasn't for free." My fingers brushed her lips; she pulled her face away from me and stared at the window.

You are trapped with me. Gianna Benton, from today onwards, you belong only to me.

The camera flashes were blinding, a relentless storm of lightning that left spots dancing in my vision. I forced the corners of my mouth upward, plastering on the smile I had practiced in the mirror a thousand times. It was the smile of a future Luna—perfect, poised, and completely hollow. "Closer," a photographer shouted from the press pit. Alpha Adrian Hayes tightened his grip on my waist. To the world, it looked like a possessive, loving embrace. To me, it was a vice. His fingers dug into the silk of my dress, bruising the skin beneath. "Smile brighter, Haisley," he hissed in my ear, his voice a low growl only I could hear. "You look like a corpse.

The autumn wind whispered through the sacred burial grounds as I knelt before Jake's gravestone, my fingers tracing the etched name that represented my last true family connection. The weathered gray stone stood among dozens of others—all that remained of the once-proud Moonridge Pack. "I miss you so much, Jake," I whispered, my voice catching as I placed three handmade moon charms at the base of the stone. Each one was crafted from silver wire and moonstone beads, a tradition our pack elder had taught me before she too was gone. "It's been three years, but it still feels like yesterday." The wind picked up, rustling the leaves around me. In my imagination, it carried Jake's response—warm, protective, telling me to stay strong as he always had. I closed my eyes, letting a tear slip down my cheek. "The pack healer says I'm healthy," I continued our one-sided conversation. "But I lost another one, Jake. Four months, just like the others." My hand instinctively went to my flat stomach, the phantom pain of loss lingering despite my inability to feel physical discomfort.

I felt it before I saw her—a disturbance in the air, like the moment before lightning strikes. The hairs on my arms stood on end as I arranged flowers in the pack house dining room, preparing for tonight's full moon ceremony. "Luna, have you heard?" Ellie whispered, her omega status evident in her hunched shoulders as she hurried toward me. "The European Lycan Council delegation has arrived, and—" The main doors burst open before she could finish. A wave of murmurs swept through the room as a group of wolves entered, but my eyes locked on only one—a woman with flowing auburn hair and piercing green eyes that scanned the room like a predator. Sophia Blake. My fingers tightened around the vase I was holding. My wolf, usually so quiet and submissive, growled deep within my mind. Five years. It had been five years since Dominic had rejected her, choosing me instead.

The dining hall buzzed with warmth and laughter as pack members gathered around the long oak table, celebrating my pup's three-month milestone. Candles flickered against the stone walls, casting dancing shadows that should have felt cozy but instead seemed to mock the hollow ache in my chest. I moved between the kitchen and dining area, serving platters of roasted venison and fresh bread, my hands steady despite the exhaustion that had plagued me since childbirth. "Look at those little fingers," Beta Marcus's mate cooed, leaning over the bassinet where my son slept peacefully. "He's going to be strong like his father." Alexander sat at the head of the table, his Alpha presence commanding attention as usual. Savanna occupied the seat to his right—a position that should have been mine as Luna, but I'd grown used to serving rather than sitting. She wore a pristine white dress that emphasized her glowing skin and perfectly styled blonde hair, a stark contrast to my simple gray tunic that hung loose on my still-recovering frame. "The nose is definitely Alexander's," Elder Catherine observed, her weathered hands clasped in front of her. "But those eyes... they're quite unique." I set down a bowl of honey-glazed carrots, my wolf stirring uneasily within me.
