Reborn: Contract Marriage With The Dark Alpha King

Gianna Benton, a woman who came from a great family, a family with ancient history, had always lived a life that's overshadowed by her younger sister, Quinn. "Gianna, what's wrong with you? I know that you are excited, but you need to stop acting weird." Mom said. I reach out my hands to touch her face, but she slaps my hands away. This is real, I thought. Somehow, I have gone back in time to the day I got married to Alpha Nathan. "I need to take a picture of you, but I can't do it without your sister. Wait here for me while I go get your sister." Mom left the room, leaving me alone with my thoughts. My hands formed a fist in anger as I thought of Quinn and Alpha Nathan. I don't know how I have traveled back to the past, but I'm not going to let myself make the same mistake I did in my past life; I'm not getting married to alpha Nathan. No matter what, I need to put a stop to this wedding

Chapter 2

Gianna POV

Mom opened the door to the room and came in with Quinn just when I was thinking of escaping. Quinn looks like she had just recently applied a lip gloss to her lips; her hair was slightly rough, and the scent of my mate was wrapped around her even though she tried to hide it. Before in the past, I had ignored it even though I knew there was only one reason she was like this: Quinn just had sex with my mate, the woman my husband wanted to divorce me for, the woman he strangles me for was Quinn.

"Gianna, you look so beautiful." I cut Quinn off by giving her a hard slap on her cheek. She stared at me with wide, fearful eyes, shock written all over her face. Never before had I dared to raise my hands against her; she was my parents favorite child, practically their only child, because they treated me as though I was a stranger. The only way I could get some affection from my parents was through Quinn. Being good to her earns me some love points from my parents, taking the blame for something she did wrong and always making it look as though it was my fault.

I slapped Quinn again, this time harder than the first. She had done so many horrible things to me, but among all, the one that hurt me the most was my baby. She killed my baby! The first slap was for poisoning my unborn baby; the second slap was for making Alpha Nathan strangle me to death.

Quinn held her cheek that was now red; she distanced herself from me and went to Mom, acting like the mama's girl she had always prided herself on being. Tears filled her eyes as Mom hugged her in comfort.

"Gianna! What is wrong with you?!" Mom shouted, "How dare you raise your hand against my daughter?"

I'm also your daughter too. I thought bitterly.

"Apologize to Quinn!" Mom ordered.

"Tell that precious daughter of yours to apologize to me." My voice was rude; I held my ground, refusing to back off. Quinn and Mom were taken aback; never before had I spoken to Mom in such a manner before.

Mom tried to slap me; I held her hand. She didn't look like she was trying to slap me because of how rudely I spoke to her; rather, it was because I slapped Quinn. She was trying to give Quinn the satisfaction of seeing the same pain I gave her inflicted on me. I'm not going to let that happen.

"Quinn smells like my mate." I said to Mom, trying to expose Quinn for who she truly was. It wasn't that Quinn didn't know that I was going to know, but she was sure that I wouldn't dare confront her. In the past I didn't confront her, but I'm not reliving my past life again.

Mom focused her werewolf senses on Quinn; her eyes widened in surprise when she noticed that I was right, but she still couldn't believe it.

"Alpha Nathan helped me when I almost fell down the staircase; that is all." Quinn lied nervously as she gave Mom an innocent look.

"How could you have slapped your sister for such a stupid reason? Even if you were to ever doubt anyone, Gianna, why would you easily doubt your sister?"

I rolled my eyes and sighed as I listened to my mother, "I don't have time for this." I left the room, ignoring my mom as she called after me; luckily for me, she didn't bother to follow me. My major problem at the moment is stopping this wedding; I can't make the same mistake of marrying alpha Nathan again.

"Gianna!" My father's loud voice froze me; a fearful goosebump moved across my skin as I turned to him, wondering if my mother had reported to him on my misbehavior along with what I did to his favorite daughter. I didn't want to be afraid of my dad, but being afraid of him has become a habit for me, one that isn't going to be easy to get rid of.

"Where are you going?" Dad asked. He was the former beta of the Silvernight pack. He retired from his post after Alpha Nathan Dad also retired; although my dad was retired, he was still highly respected by all the pack members.

"The guests are here, and Alpha Nathan is already waiting for you at the wedding hall." My dad paused and looked around me, "Where's your mom?" He mumbled to himself, "She's the one who's supposed to take you to the hall, but she must be with Quinn."

He didn't even sound angry at the possibility of Mom ditching me on my wedding day.

"Come on, we can't waste any more time and keep Alpha Nathan waiting." Dad said in a cold tone, like Mom, he was only affectionate to his favorite daughter.

I sighted Alpha Nathan as I was about to step into the wedding hall, seeing him in the same suit, looking dashing just like he did the first time we got married. I was so head over heels for him that I refused to believe that he had sex with my sister on our wedding day. I allowed my love and affection for him to blind me back then, but not again.

"Congratulations, Gianna." I ignored the guest speaking to me and ran away; it was one of my pack members, but I didn't care if I was rude; if I wasn't Alpha Nathan's mate, they would all ignore me. Even though I was the elder daughter of the former beta, Talon Benton, I was no one special in their eyes, unlike my adopted younger sister.

"Gianna?!" my dad called behind me in an angry tone.

My heart sank when I saw that Alpha Nathan was chasing after me. I can't let this wedding happen at the same time; I didn't have the power to stop it. If I told Alpha Nathan to his face that I didn't want to get married to him, he could lock me up in jail and turn me into the pack slave. If he was capable of strangling me to death before in the past, he could very much do it again.

"Ouch," I grumbled out as my head slammed into something hard, a man's chest. My eyes widened as I looked up at the man in front of me, Alpha Axel. In my past life, he was seen as a beast, an alpha who was feared by many because of how dark and twisted he was.

Alpha Axel had a small frown on his lips as he waited for me to apologize. When he saw that all I was going to do was stare at him, he attempted to walk away. but I stop him because of the crazy idea that is forming in my head: this man was dangerous, but he was strong and influential enough to help me escape Alpha Nathan.

'Please marry me.' I mouthed out my words slowly to him, then, without giving him the chance to refuse, I kissed him.

The camera flashes were blinding, a relentless storm of lightning that left spots dancing in my vision. I forced the corners of my mouth upward, plastering on the smile I had practiced in the mirror a thousand times. It was the smile of a future Luna—perfect, poised, and completely hollow. "Closer," a photographer shouted from the press pit. Alpha Adrian Hayes tightened his grip on my waist. To the world, it looked like a possessive, loving embrace. To me, it was a vice. His fingers dug into the silk of my dress, bruising the skin beneath. "Smile brighter, Haisley," he hissed in my ear, his voice a low growl only I could hear. "You look like a corpse.

The autumn wind whispered through the sacred burial grounds as I knelt before Jake's gravestone, my fingers tracing the etched name that represented my last true family connection. The weathered gray stone stood among dozens of others—all that remained of the once-proud Moonridge Pack. "I miss you so much, Jake," I whispered, my voice catching as I placed three handmade moon charms at the base of the stone. Each one was crafted from silver wire and moonstone beads, a tradition our pack elder had taught me before she too was gone. "It's been three years, but it still feels like yesterday." The wind picked up, rustling the leaves around me. In my imagination, it carried Jake's response—warm, protective, telling me to stay strong as he always had. I closed my eyes, letting a tear slip down my cheek. "The pack healer says I'm healthy," I continued our one-sided conversation. "But I lost another one, Jake. Four months, just like the others." My hand instinctively went to my flat stomach, the phantom pain of loss lingering despite my inability to feel physical discomfort.

I felt it before I saw her—a disturbance in the air, like the moment before lightning strikes. The hairs on my arms stood on end as I arranged flowers in the pack house dining room, preparing for tonight's full moon ceremony. "Luna, have you heard?" Ellie whispered, her omega status evident in her hunched shoulders as she hurried toward me. "The European Lycan Council delegation has arrived, and—" The main doors burst open before she could finish. A wave of murmurs swept through the room as a group of wolves entered, but my eyes locked on only one—a woman with flowing auburn hair and piercing green eyes that scanned the room like a predator. Sophia Blake. My fingers tightened around the vase I was holding. My wolf, usually so quiet and submissive, growled deep within my mind. Five years. It had been five years since Dominic had rejected her, choosing me instead.

The dining hall buzzed with warmth and laughter as pack members gathered around the long oak table, celebrating my pup's three-month milestone. Candles flickered against the stone walls, casting dancing shadows that should have felt cozy but instead seemed to mock the hollow ache in my chest. I moved between the kitchen and dining area, serving platters of roasted venison and fresh bread, my hands steady despite the exhaustion that had plagued me since childbirth. "Look at those little fingers," Beta Marcus's mate cooed, leaning over the bassinet where my son slept peacefully. "He's going to be strong like his father." Alexander sat at the head of the table, his Alpha presence commanding attention as usual. Savanna occupied the seat to his right—a position that should have been mine as Luna, but I'd grown used to serving rather than sitting. She wore a pristine white dress that emphasized her glowing skin and perfectly styled blonde hair, a stark contrast to my simple gray tunic that hung loose on my still-recovering frame. "The nose is definitely Alexander's," Elder Catherine observed, her weathered hands clasped in front of her. "But those eyes... they're quite unique." I set down a bowl of honey-glazed carrots, my wolf stirring uneasily within me.
