Chapter 5

Bella's Pov

I woke up to my phone ringing and stretched for it and placed it to my ears.

"Hello," I answered sleepily.

"Bella, I have some news about your biological parents." My mom said on the other side of the phone. I jumped up in a sitting position.

"Are you sure?" I asked.

"Yes I am, do you remember the necklace you had on when we adopted you?" She asked.

"Yes I remembered it, I have it in my drawer in my room there." I replied.

"Ok, the orphanage said that it was a gift from your parents. They found you with it before you lost your memory." She said, "Do you have any classes for the next two weeks?" She asked.

"They are doing revision. Why do you ask?" I asked, confused.

"I want you to come home for two weeks, so that we can get some more information for you," She said.

"Ok I'm going to sort it out so that I can get a leave of absence," I said agreeing.

"Ok do that, I'm going to source more information," she said then hung up.

I got out of bed and went to the kitchen and saw Lissa sitting eating some ramen.

"You want some?" She asked, holding up the bowl.

"You have enough? I don't mind making another one," I said.

"It's not a lot," she said, grinning awkwardly and I went and looked about one for myself and joined her.

"How are you feeling?" Lissa asked.

"Not bad but I have something to tell you," I told her and she looked at me worrily.

"It's not anything bad. My mom called and told me she has information about my biological parents so she asked me if I could come home for two weeks," I said reassuring her.

"Oh ok, so what about the other problem you have?" She asked.

"Not going to think about it for two weeks. He probably forgot about me already," I said, looking down at the bowl in my hand.

"And you are ok with that?" She asked.

"No but if it comes to it then I have to be," I said. "Ok enough questions about him. What about you? I know you went off with a guy that night. Who is he? Will you meet him again?" I asked her, trying to change the topic from me.

"No, I'm not going to meet him again. He is terrible in bed. I thought he had experience by his looks but he is a complete amateur. He couldn't even get me to orgasm, I had to do it myself. Can you believe that? He even has the audacity to say that I am difficult and hard to please. He is the one that couldn't get me to orgasm and blamed me for his lack of expertise." she rumbled and I couldn't hold my laughter. I burst out in laughter and she turned and looked at me but I couldn't stop.

"Why are you laughing? It's not funny," she said, trying to hold hers.

"I'm sorry, but it's too funny," I said, between laughs. I wiped the tears from my eyes. "Its been a long time since I laughed like this," I added.

"Glad I got you to laugh but seriously can you believe him?" She said, looking at me.

"No I can't but it seems like you had a rough night as well," I said smiling.

"Yes I did. Do you need help with the letter to send in tomorrow?" She asked.

"Thanks but I can manage. The only thing I need to do is adjust the date on the one before and add the period of time I will be absent," I said.

"Ok then good luck. Also remember your ID. You always seem to forget it," she said.

"Thanks, I'm going to look for it now," I said, gratefully.

I went to my room and started searching my bag for it but it was nowhere to be found. I have been at it for about thirty minutes.

"I give up," I said and plopped down on the bed.

I opened my laptop and fixed the letter and emailed it to the office so that it can be placed on my file. I also added a note 'Do I need the Identification Card to verify that it's me asking for the leave?'

Not long after an email popped up. 'No you don't but if you need any more time you can just add the amount of extra time you need to this email. – Your Principal'

"Ok so that's out of the way," I said, breathing a sigh of relief. I got up and started to pack the suitcase with what I am going to carry home tomorrow. I turned everything upside down and I still don't see the card. I jumped back in bed and thought before falling asleep, 'Where could it be?'

***The Next Day***

The sun illuminates my face as if to indicate that it's morning. I slowly opened my eyes and saw that I forgot to close the blinds last night. I went into the bathroom and started getting ready. I picked out a short summer dress and slippers. I looked at the time and saw that the bus would reach soon.

"I have about 40 minutes to go, got to find Lissa before I go" I said, exiting my room. I went to her room and called her. A few minutes later she opened her door.

"Hey what's up," she asked, yawning and rubbing her eyes.

"I'm leaving soon, so I wanted to see you before I go," I said.

"Alright, but it's not like you aren't going to see me again. It's just two weeks right? And we can video call as well," she said.

"Yeah you're right," I said, smiling. I looked at my phone and saw that I have to go now so that I can catch the bus.

"I got to go now, see you soon," I said, hugging her.

"Yeah," she said, hugging me back. We pulled apart and I grabbed my suitcase and purse and headed out.

"I'm going to have to get something to eat on the way. I forgot to grab something from the fridge," I said to myself. I arrived just in time to catch the bus. I went in and took a seat. 'This is going to be a long ride' I thought. Someone came up and stood right beside me and I looked up and there she was smiling down at me. I was so shocked.

"Lissa, what are you doing here?" I asked, still shocked.

"I'm coming with you silly," she said, smiling. "I'm not letting you go alone. I sent the letter to the office to get time off as well and was approved so here I am," she added. I scooted over so that she could sit beside me. 'This ride won't be so long after all' I thought, smiling.
