Chapter 3
Bella's Pov
**The Next Morning**
My eyes fluttered open and the memories came crashing back. The drugged drink, the stranger's hands, the terror. My body shudders at the thought, and then Gabriel. My chest tightened, but instead of fear, I felt the steady rise and fall of his chest beside me. He saved and held me. And last night, I had given him the one thing I swore I would never give anyone unworthy. I raised my head and looked at his face and smiled. Then a thought occurred to me. 'What if he regrets everything when he wakes up? I can't go through that.' I grabbed my leather boots and tank top and remembered that my pants were torn. I grabbed my phone and called my best friend and she answered on the first ring.
"Hey Bella, how was it?" She asked mockingly.
"Not the time Lissa. I need a dress and undies now. I'm going to send you my location," I said, while sending her the location.
"Ok I'm coming," she said and I hung up.
**Ten minutes later**
My phone chimes:
Lissa
"I'm outside, open up."
Me
"Ok, I'm coming"
I turned off my phone, placed it in my bag and opened the door. I make sure all of my movements are tranquil so that I don't wake him before I leave. I grabbed the clothes and told her to wait for me by the car, and I closed the door and put them on. I rushed out of the room and closed the door. When I reached downstairs, Lissa was grinning, but she realised that my mood wasn't cheerful so she didn't tease.
"Bel, are you ok?" She asked, concerned.
"No, but please get me out of here first," I said, trying to hold back my tears.
We got in the car and she drove to the dorm. We walked silently to the room and that's when I finally broke down. She hugged me and told me to get it all out and I did just that. When I stopped I told her all that happened last night. From the kidnapping down to how Gabriel saved me and me overthinking this morning.
"It's ok Bel, but why didn't you wait for him to wake before you ran out?" She asked.
"I don't want to be disappointed. What if he wakes up and regrets ever sleeping with me?" I said, sighing.
"What if I was just a mistake to him? I don't want to find out," I added.
"I understand, but think on the bright side, what if he wanted to spend the rest of his life with you?" She said and I looked at her like she has two heads.
"The only thing I know about him is that his name is Gabriel and the only thing he knows about me is my name and my age," I said. "What rest of life are you talking about? He doesn't even know that I am a college student. Now I am feeling like this was a mistake. I shouldn't have gone to the club," I added.
"There you go again. Bel, you need to stop that. That is the only problem you are having. You keep overthinking, it weighs you down," she said, frustrated.
"You don't know if he will regret anything and that's the problem now," she added.
"But I can't help it," I said. "I'm going to lay down," I added and walked off in my room's direction.
"I'll be here if you need me," she said before I left the room.
I opened my door and went inside and put my back against the door and started silent crying.
"I'm so pathetic, can't even do a thing right,"I said, sobbing. I picked myself up from the floor and walked to my bed and dozed off from all the crying.

In front of hundreds of elites, my father slapped me across the face, calling me a vicious bitch while his new wife smiled in victory.
I triggered the estate's fire system to ruin them, but a terrifying stranger in the VIP section bypassed my military-grade hack in seconds.
He was Kavon Velasquez, a dangerous billionaire heir who had been missing for twelve years.
Instead of exposing me, he shielded me from my father's second blow.
When my pathetic ex tried to drag me away, I grabbed Kavon and kissed him to humiliate my ex.
I shoved a $500,000 check into Kavon's pocket as hush money and left.
I thought that was the end of it.
But why did this apex predator move into the penthouse right next to mine at 2 AM?
Why did he violently crush my ex's face the next morning just for grabbing my arm?
"She is my woman. If you ever come within ten feet of her again, I will bury you."
I didn't understand why a man with lethal skills was suddenly hunting me.
Then I found out he had just blackmailed my father with undeniable proof of corporate money laundering.

Johana walked half a mile through a brutal blizzard just to secure a tutoring job with the elite Black family.
But the very night she was hired, she received a terrifying call from the ER—her quiet roommate, Hazelle, had been drugged and severely traumatized at a Hamptons party.
When Johana rushed to the hospital, she didn't find the police. Instead, she found a team of ruthless billionaires erasing the crime.
Leading them was Dalton Black, the cold, arrogant older brother of her new student.
Within minutes, Dalton's fixers wiped the hospital's security footage, deleted all digital evidence, and forcefully transferred Hazelle to a locked private psychiatric facility.
"We are ensuring her privacy."
Dalton's voice was devoid of emotion, treating the horrific assault like a minor PR glitch.
His friends mocked Johana's powerlessness, while Dalton authorized a blank check to pay for the private ward, effectively burying the scandal and buying their silence.
Johana stood in the sterile hallway, trembling with a mix of despair and absolute rage.
How could they destroy an innocent girl's life and simply pay to make it disappear? Why was the truth so easily erased by money?
She had no wealth, no connections, and no proof, but she refused to be a victim of their cover-up.
Staring directly into Dalton's intimidating, icy blue eyes, Johana made a vow.
"I don't want your money. I will find out what you monsters did to her."
She thought the billionaire heir would crush her on the spot, but instead, he watched her walk away and quietly ordered his assistant: "Find out everything about Johana Neal."

My husband, Colton, the Wall Street mogul, slid annulment papers across the table, coldly discarding me and our unborn child. He thought he was getting rid of a useless wife, but he was actually throwing away the secret architect of his entire empire. Now, I'm ready to make him pay for every insult, every lie, and every single secret I've kept.
For three years, eight months pregnant, I secretly saved Colton's ten-billion-dollar company from collapse, enduring a cold, transactional marriage.
One night, he shattered that illusion, serving annulment papers and callously discarding me and our unborn child.
I signed, leaving luxury behind. Exposing his butler's fraud, I escaped. Colton later found his wedding ring gone and, on his desk, my SEC compliance fixes—proof I was his hidden genius.
Blindsided, he realized he’d destroyed his own empire. His mother then called, gloating. The injustice ignited a fierce resolve within me.
The next morning, I launched Kidd Legal Consulting. I'd use forty-seven folders of Farmer Capital's un-patched loopholes to force a fair settlement, securing my daughter's future.

Eleanore thought her fiancé, Johan, was her only salvation after her family went bankrupt.
But at a high-society gala, he handed her a drugged glass of water. As the unnatural heat burned through her veins, the horrific truth hit her. Johan had isolated her and controlled her finances, all while secretly getting engaged to a wealthy heiress. He drugged Eleanore to ruin her completely, planning to lock her away as his helpless, secret mistress.
Desperate and losing her mind to the drug, Eleanore fled down the hallway. With Johan and his bodyguards hunting her, she stumbled into the dark presidential suite.
But she wasn't alone. Sitting on the leather sofa was Alexander Briggs—the most feared corporate raider on Wall Street, and Johan's exiled brother.
Outside the door, Johan was screaming, ready to drag her back to hell.
"I can be your antidote. But it's going to cost you."
The ruthless billionaire looked at her trembling body with cold calculation. He offered her a staggering deal: a three-month fake marriage to destroy Johan's empire, and in return, absolute protection and her father's massive debts paid in full.
She couldn't understand why the most powerful predator in New York would use a ruined girl as his weapon, but she knew she would rather die than let Johan touch her again.
When Johan finally broke down the door to claim his prey, Alexander calmly pulled Eleanore into his arms.
"Watch your mouth. You are speaking to my future wife."

Cecile jolted awake from months of prescription haze, only to realize she was trapped in a live reality show designed to destroy her.
Her billionaire husband had orchestrated the broadcast to publicly humiliate her and elevate his own PR image. He ordered her to follow a degrading script. What was worse, her five-year-old son, Damien, was genuinely terrified of her. When an empty wine bottle rolled across the floor, the tiny boy instantly threw his arms over his head, bracing for a hit.
The production crew shoved microphones into the trembling child's face, trying to trigger his trauma for ratings. The live chat cursed Cecile as a toxic abuser. The show's golden girl maliciously tried to poach Damien on camera to prove Cecile was an unfit mother. The crew even rigged the game, forcing Cecile and her son into a freezing, rotting mud shack with a collapsed roof. They were all just waiting for her to break down and beg.
"A toxic woman like you doesn't deserve to be a mother."
The crew read the hateful comments aloud, expecting a hysterical meltdown. The realization that she had been manipulated into destroying her own child hit Cecile like a physical blow. How could a father subject his own son to this public cruelty?
The weak, easily manipulated Cecile was dead. She threw the PR script away, rolled up her sleeves, and picked up a rusted hammer. This time, she would protect her son and tear down anyone who stood in her way.
