Chapter 2

I spread my hands nonchalantly.

"I simply recalled I still own this property, so I came to take a look.

"Nate, should we call the cops? We'll report her for trespassing."

I pointed at Tina with an innocent smile.

Nate's face turned livid. He tried to stand, but then remembered his leg was broken. Grace stood beside him, crying nonstop.

I raised an eyebrow. "A mistress and a cheating jerk."

"Shut up! She's not a mistress! I love her!" Nate yelled.

"You love her?"

I found it ridiculous. I walked up to Nate and swung my arm, slapping him hard across the face. He nearly fell out of his wheelchair.

He was stunned. It was probably the first time since we had gotten married that I had ever hit him like that.

Grace screamed. "How dare you hit him?!"

I backhanded her across the face. "I won't just hit him. I'll hit you too."

Nate struggled to get up. I kicked him straight in his broken leg, and his face turned pale from the pain.

"You jerk! You say you love her, so why did you marry me in the first place?

"Oh, right. You were about to go bankrupt. You couldn't let go of the massive wealth my family had. Once you got through the crisis, you suddenly realized you'd fallen in love with someone else.

"You didn't want to divorce me, and you didn't want to compensate me either. You wanted money, love, and freedom. Greedy doesn't even begin to cover it."

I slapped him three more times in a row. His cheeks swelled up, and his eyes turned red as he glared at me.

"Wendy!"

"I'm right here. I already told you. I'm not refusing to divorce. You're the one who can't let go of the money.

"Grace, look closely. When it comes to your so-called happiness, he still chose money. Tsk. How pathetic!

"Nate, redo the divorce agreement my way. If you refuse, I'll find her no matter where she moves. Even if you drag me to the police station, I'll fight you to the end.

"A mistress has no right to spend my money or sleep with my husband.

"You guys, bring him back. Since he's injured, he should stay in the hospital and rest properly."

"You wouldn't dare!" Nate blustered.

I laughed. "What wouldn't I dare? My family hasn't even said a word yet. Do you really think that's because they don't want to get involved or because they're scared?"

I patted his face. "Don't forget how I married you in the first place. I had all that money!"

Nate's expression darkened.

Of course, he remembered. My mother, Mary Keller, had died when I was thirteen. The mistress had then moved in. My stepmother and her daughter had joined forces in tormenting me.

I had fought back like a madwoman, and I hurt them even if it meant hurting myself.

That reckless, desperate way of fighting scared them enough that they never dared bully me again. Tony Keller, my father, couldn't wait to marry me off. I didn't hold back either. I demanded half his assets before agreeing to marry Nate.

I had helped Nate survive his financial collapse, yet he had repaid me by falling in love with someone else.

Before leaving, I pointed at Grace. "You'd better behave yourself. Otherwise, believe it or not, I can make whatever's in your belly turn into a corpse real fast."

"If you dare touch her, I'll never let you off!" Nate shouted at me.

I laughed. "It all depends on how well you behave. If you piss me off, I'll teach her a lesson anytime. Trash like her only understands discipline."

With that, I waved my hand, and my subordinates dragged Nate out by force.

Grace tried to run over, but I gave her a cold look, and she immediately backed off.

She didn't dare stay in that house anymore, anyway. My subordinates were still inside, after all.

Nate threw a fit. "Why are you all just standing there?!"

His bodyguards tried to step in, but my subordinates were there too. Both sides started shouting, and Grace ended up getting caught in the mess.
