My husband Gave My Kidney To His Lover's Dog Novel Cover

My husband Gave My Kidney To His Lover's Dog

I became infertile due to an accidental miscarriage, and the Smith family pressured David Smith to divorce me and marry someone else. However, David Smith firmly refused. He always loved me as he did at the very beginning. In order to help me fulfill my wish of conceiving his child, he went to great lengths to find top domestic experts. Unexpectedly, we had a car accident on the way to the hospital. In the operating room, I heard his cold conversation with the doctor: "Mr. Smith, your wife is a gymnast. If one of her kidneys is removed, she won't be able to continue her career as a gymnast in the future." "Moreover, your wife is a human being. How can her kidney be given to a dog?" David Smith said indifferently, "That dog is Jane's life. Ella White can still survive with one kidney less, but if the dog dies, Jane will lose the will to live. "Two years ago, Jane was devastated by the loss of her child. I personally tricked Ella White into drinking the abortion pill, and then there was a glimmer of a smile on Jane's face. I can't bear to see Jane shed a single tear." It turned out that my husband, who I thought loved me dearly, was actually a devil from hell. I left with my broken body. Since he loves Jane so much, then I will let them be together.

Chapter 4

"Ella, what the heck were you thinking, running home all by yourself? You about gave me a heart attack! You just had surgery. Why didn't you stay put in the hospital?"

"Do you have any idea how worried sick I was?" I just blurted out the first excuse that came to mind.

"I couldn't stand being cooped up in that hospital all alone."

When he heard that, a little flash of guilt crossed David Smith's face.

"I feel real bad about that. There was some emergency at the office today, and that's why I showed up late."

"Come on, we're going back to the hospital right this minute. Your wound's still not healed, and you can't mess around with your health like this."

"You gotta get yourself back in shape so you can have our baby, you know."

I just stared at him, kind of like a zombie, and looked at that soft smile in his eyes.

It was like my heart was getting ripped apart by a pair of hands. He knew damn well that I couldn't have kids anymore.

I seriously wanted to slice him open and take a good look at what sort of heart he had that could make him pull off such messed - up stuff. Just thinking about that baby who never got to see the light of day, tears started streaming down my face again.

And when I looked at David Smith, there was straight - up hatred in my eyes.

David Smith gave my forehead a soft kiss.

"I know I screwed up leaving you in the hospital like that. I swear I'll stick by your side in the hospital until they let you out. Deal?"

David Smith, saying my wound wasn't healed yet as an excuse, basically dragged me out the door and we were on our way to the hospital.

On the drive over there, I have no clue what he saw, but his face just went blank all of a sudden.

He was so out of it that he didn't even bother looking at the road, and boom, the car smacked right into a huge tree on the side of the street. My body jerked forward like crazy.

I got this massive case of dizziness all at once, and that wound on my waist started throbbing like hell.

I reached down and felt it, and my hand came back covered in blood.

David Smith, sitting in the driver's seat, was in a total tizzy.

He yanked the car door open and hopped out, then took off running towards Jane, who was standing there looking like a lost puppy not too far off.

The second Jane spotted David Smith, she started bawling her eyes out.

"David, Coco's vanished! It's still banged up, and what if something awful happens to it?"

In the pitch - black night, with the headlights of the car lighting up the area, I could see plain as day the worried look all over David Smith's face.

He pulled Jane in tight and soothed her with a soft voice.

"Hey, don't fret. I'll hunt for it with you. Coco's such a good dog. It can't have gone too far."

Jane grabbed hold of David Smith's shirt.

"David, you're Coco's daddy. You gotta help me find it. It's our little fur baby!"
