My Husband Forced Me To Donate My Bone Marrow Novel Cover

My Husband Forced Me To Donate My Bone Marrow

Six months after I died during childbirth, my husband came looking for me, demanding I terminate the pregnancy so I could donate my bone marrow to his idealized love. I was the only match. My mother told him, "My daughter has already passed away." With a face full of disdain, my husband retorted, "I ignored for six months and now she's throwing a tantrum, even faking her death! Pass this message to her. Even if she gives birth, I won't spare her a glance! If she doesn't come forward to donate bone marrow within three days, don't blame me for cutting off your medical expenses!" What he didn't know was that after my death, my mother had already given up on her cancer treatment. She held on just to see his remorse at my grave.

Chapter 2

Lu Jingchuan returned to the hospital.

His Song Wanwan lay on the bed, looking thin and pale.

His heart ached as he quickly approached and embraced her. "Wanwan, are you okay? Don't worry. I'll find Zhou Nan soon and have her donate the bone marrow for you!"

A faint smile flickered in Song Wanwan's eyes, but her face showed guilt. "But Nan Nan is still pregnant. How can we ask her to undergo surgery for me?"

"That child would bring more trouble than it's worth, " Lu Jingchuan said coldly, his handsome face hardened.

Song Wanwan hesitated, then softly said, "Once I'm better, I will repay Nan Nan for sure."

"Why would you repay such a spiteful and naive person?" Lu Jingchuan gritted his teeth at the mention of me. "If it weren't for her bullying back then, I would have been with you already!"

"In my hardest times, you gave me the money to continue my studies. My heart has only ever had room for you! People who use their family's influence to push others around should taste their own medicine!"

I almost laughed coldly.

Lu Jingchuan claimed I forced him with my family's power, yet it was he who pursued me, sweetly saying, "Nan Nan, I really like you."

He said Song Wanwan was there for him during his toughest times, but I was the one who anonymously donated to him when his parents passed away.

Song Wanwan was merely an imposter, taking credit for my actions.

Song Wanwan lowered her head shyly, hiding the guilt flashing across her eyes.

At that moment, a doctor in a white coat burst in.

Seeing Song Wanwan and Lu Jingchuan together, his eyes blazed with anger. "Lu Jingchuan, how could you?!"

"Nan Nan's mother is dying, and here you are, cozying up with another woman!"

This was Shen Jin'an, my best friend.

On the day I married Lu Jingchuan, he asked me with teary eyes, "Are you sure you won't regret this?"

After I nodded, he left and went abroad for years to further his studies.

I never expected that after my death, he would return to take care of my mother until now.

Upon recognizing his face, Lu Jingchuan sneered, "And who are you? Oh, just Zhou Nan's devoted follower."

"The Zhou family has fallen. Why are you still protecting that foolish, shallow waste?"

"If Zhou Nan's mother is dying, go find Zhou Nan! As long as she comes out, aborts the child, and donates the marrow, I'll save that elderly woman!"

Shen Jin'an was stunned. "But Nan Nan... she's already dead."

Back then, as a doctor, he was the one who handled my body.

Lu Jingchuan's face changed drastically.

He stood up, marched over to Shen Jin'an, and punched him in the eye. "Did Zhou Nan send you to put on this act?"

"I've heard enough of these pathetic lies!"

"Wanwan is barely holding on. If Zhou Nan continues to hide, I can't guarantee what I'll do!"

Covering his injured eye, Shen Jin'an's voice turned hoarse. "Lu Jingchuan, you've been married to Nan Nan for three years. Do you really intend to treat her like this?"

"Look at the watch on your wrist! Nan Nan gave it to you!"

"Do you really have no regard for your past together?"

Lu Jingchuan froze, his gaze falling on his wrist.

It was a crude watch, starkly contrasting his expensive attire.

I had given it to him when I was eighteen.

I personally placed it on his wrist, telling him, "This is from the money I earned working part-time. Promise me you'll cherish it."

Lu Jingchuan had smiled, patting my head, and solemnly promised, "Don't worry. I'll always wear it."

In those youthful days, he was vibrant and sincere with me.

Later, after my father's suicide, he took control of the Zhou family.

His personality changed drastically, and he burned everything I had given him, except for this watch. Perhaps out of habit, he kept it until now.

Now, with Shen Jin'an's words piercing like a blade, Lu Jingchuan felt a brief discomfort, quickly shattered by Song Wanwan's sobbing.

Song Wanwan cried, "Jingchuan, you still like Nan Nan, don't you? I knew it; she's your true wife!"

"If that's the case, just leave me alone! Let me die!"

Lu Jingchuan panicked. "How could that be? Zhou Nan is malicious and ignorant. Why would I like such a wretch?"

"I haven't divorced her only to find marrow to save you! Once you're well, we'll have our wedding immediately!"

"As for this watch... how could such an old trinket be worthy of my wrist?"

With that, he unclasped the watch and tossed it into the trash.

Years of memories tossed aside so easily, just like that night when I was in labor.

Shen Jin'an stumbled to find Lu Jingchuan, but he left the Zhou home without hesitation because Song Wanwan called, saying she was afraid of the dark.

An indescribable pain spread through my heart.

A twisted anticipation arose within me, eager to see Lu Jingchuan's reaction upon learning of my death.

Would he dismiss it with a sneer, or would he break down in tears?
