My Fiancée Guessed Wrong Groom, so I Left

I barked out an indignant laugh.

The wedding venue was in the busiest area of the city. If one wanted to rent it for a day, they had to be prepared to fork out enough money to cover the seven-digit bill.

On top of that, I had placed custom orders to secure the highest-quality decorations for the hall and the best catering for the guests.

It seemed that Justin and Tiffany had given up on their act. Instead, they were planning to host a grand wedding ceremony for themselves on my dime without spending a single penny of their own.

Just then, the host's voice echoed from within the hall.

"Now, let us welcome our newlyweds to the stage!"

I kicked the door open and strode into the hall among the guests' thunderous applause.

Tiffany's eyes instantly widened when she spotted me from where she was standing on the stage.

"What are you doing here, Nathan?"

I scoffed before grabbing one of the glasses from the bottom row of the champagne tower that was next to me.

In the next second, dozens of champagne glasses smashed against the floor, making a loud ruckus that drew everyone's attention in my direction. I stepped on the shattered glass as I slowly made my way toward Tiffany and Justin.

"You must know why I'm here, Tiffany. You're using the money that I spent on this place to get married to another man. I had no idea that the Bastion family had become so shameless."

Just then, Justin walked over to me and held me back.

"This has nothing to do with Tiffany, Nathan."

I wasn't bothered enough to entertain him. However, when I shoved his hand away, he suddenly collapsed to the floor like a puppet that had its strings cut.

Tiffany immediately rushed down the stage. Her eyes were full of disdain when she shouted, "You're the one who brought this on yourself, Nathan. Don't blame me for being heartless. I'm going to expose your true colors to everyone here!

"You claimed that you were just investing in Bastion Group to save it when you threatened me to marry you. But in reality, you ended up with 60% of Dad's shares. Although Dad's the CEO of the company, he ended up having to work for you.

"Whenever you get upset, you'll use those shares to threaten Mom and Dad. You forced them to lead a life that's even more pathetic than a dog's!

"Not only that, but your mother forced me to sign a prenuptial agreement. If we get a divorce, I'll be forced to compensate your family a billion dollars, no matter who's in the wrong.

"I'm also forbidden from reclaiming Bastion Group's shares. Do you really want to marry me, Nathan, or do you just intend to steal my money from me?"

Chaos immediately erupted among the guests below the stage.

"Mr. Heaton crossed the line this time. Why is he raiding his wife's family's fortune?"

"It's no wonder Tiffany chose to marry a driver's son instead of the heir of a prestigious family. Although her new husband can't give her any material luxuries, at the very least, his feelings for her are genuine."

Genuine?

I laughed.

Tiffany had no clue that her so-called true love had actually sold her and Bastion Group to someone else. On top of that, Justin had sold them to the other party at a loss!

"You claim that I don't love you, Tiffany, but do you really believe that Justin loves you?"

Tiffany shot me a cold look and didn't answer my question. Instead, she said, "That's between Justin and me. There's no need for you to worry about that, Mr. Heaton.

"I think you should be worrying about your business partners instead. I've already offered them profits that are 20% higher than what the Heaton family is offering them. As a matter of fact, I've already convinced them to come to my side."

I arched a brow and shrugged nonchalantly.

"It seems that you've thoroughly thought things through, but you were still too shortsighted."

It was obvious that Tiffany didn't understand what I was talking about. She wore a dark expression as she glared at me, demanding, "What are you talking about?"

"I was being literal. Coincidentally, there's something that I want to show everyone here. I'm going to ruin your reputation, Tiffany Bastion."

I calmly accepted the tablet Jamie offered me and projected its contents onto the big screen.
