Chapter 1

My dormmate has dropped out of college to get married. Before that, she shares a livestream link on the college forum. She claims her husband has cheated on her, and she wants to stream how she punishes the homewrecker. She asks everyone to share the link and hype the situation up.

I don't take her words to heart. To my surprise, she barges into my house with a group of people that afternoon. She trashes the place and screams bloody murder at me. It seems she thinks I'm the homewrecker.

It's only from her words that I understand her rich and handsome husband is my father.

Well, since she's caused such a scene, it looks like her darling is going to lose his job and leave this family without a penny to his name.

My parents had gone to the countryside for the day. I woke up late because I stayed up late the night before. So, I was the only one at home.

I picked up my phone and saw that there were over 999 unread messages. I glanced at them and noticed that most of the messages were from the school's group chat.

"Livestreaming yourself beating down on the mistress? You're so brave!"

"Ha ha ha. Homewreckers are all twisted people. Don't give her a beating that she'll enjoy."

Everyone in the group was talking about the mistress. I scrolled up to the first message and was surprised to see that it was posted by my roommate, Jinny Crowley, who had already dropped out of school.

She mentioned that her husband was cheating on her and that she had found out the address of the mistress.

She would be going over to give the mistress a beating in the afternoon, and she'd even livestream it. She wanted everyone to see the mistress's sorry mug so that her reputation would be destroyed.

At the end of her message, she also included a link to her livestream.

Jinny dropped out of school to get married. The school required students who wanted to drop out for marriage to provide a marriage license, but she told the school counselor that her husband would only register the marriage with her if she gave birth to a baby boy.

The counselor was shocked to hear that. He even messaged us, her roommates, privately and told us to ask us to talk some sense into her. The man she chose was clearly very shady.

All of us were very concerned when we learned about that. We kept trying to talk her out of the arrangement.

Unexpectedly, she thought we were being jealous of her and posted pointed remarks at us on social media to insult us.

Her posts were about how we couldn't stand to see her doing well, that we were jealous of her awesome husband, and that we were trying to set her up for failure.

The head of the dormitory was so angered by Jinny's words that she kicked her out of the dormitory's group chat.

Since then, none of us cared about what she was doing anymore.

I didn't feel any emotions when I saw her message. She made her own bed, and she had to lie in it.

After she gave the mistress a beating, she would probably still go back to that husband of hers and happily give birth to a baby boy for him.

The notifications from the group chat were getting annoying, so I set the notifications from the group chat to "Do Not Disturb".

I picked out a movie to watch after dinner. My phone started ringing incessantly as I was enjoying the movie. So, I picked it up and took a look at it.

I did not expect it to be yet another message from Jinny to the group chat.

"The livestream of me beating up the mistress has started! It's started! Join in, everyone. Let's get the word out."

Then, she tagged everyone in the group chat, ten whole times. She also proceeded to send the link to her livestream multiple times.

It was so irritating. I tapped on her profile in an attempt to block her. I did not expect her to be streaming on multiple platforms.

Therefore, I was brought over to her livestream when I tapped on her profile picture.

As I was about to exit the livestream, I noticed that the scenery behind her looked familiar.

She was right outside my neighborhood! I was extremely sure I recognized that sign.
