My Alpha Rejected Me for a False Pregnancy

# Chapter 1: The Eve of Betrayal ## The Summit Crisis The hotel ballroom buzzed with restless energy as Nexus Pack warriors paced like caged animals. Three days before the Grand Alpha Summit in Seattle, and our Alpha had vanished. "Collins! Where the hell is he?" Delta Marcus slammed his fist against the table, scattering the tactical maps I'd spent hours preparing. I straightened my spine, channeling the authority I'd inherited from my father. "Alpha Wagner is in deep meditation preparing for the combat trials. He'll join us shortly." The lie tasted bitter on my tongue. Rhett hadn't just disappeared—he'd severed our mind-link. The hollow ache in my chest where his presence should be felt like a physical wound. "He better be," Marcus growled.

# Chapter 4: The Pack's Betrayal

## The Pregnancy Announcement

The pack dining hall hummed with forced cheerfulness. I'd arranged this dinner to quell the growing rumors about Rhett's absence from pack duties. Crystal glasses clinked as servers poured wine, the rich aroma of roasted venison filling the air.

"Everyone, please," I raised my glass, summoning my most diplomatic smile. "Let's celebrate the successful conclusion of the Alliance Treaty."

The pack members responded with lukewarm applause. I caught Beta Crawford's calculating gaze from across the table, his eyes flicking between Rhett and Violeta.

"A toast," Rhett announced suddenly, standing beside Violeta. "To new beginnings."

Something in his tone made my stomach clench. Violeta's delicate hand rested protectively over her abdomen, a gesture so subtle most would miss it—but I didn't.

Midway through the meal, Violeta slumped forward dramatically. Her wine glass shattered on the floor as she collapsed.

"Violeta!" Rhett's chair scraped against the stone floor as he rushed to her side. "Someone get the healer!"

I knelt beside her, checking her pulse while trying to ignore the triumphant gleam in her eyes when she briefly met my gaze.

The Pack Healer arrived, his weathered face solemn as he examined her. I noticed the quick exchange of glances between him and Beta Crawford—a detail that would have been invisible to most, but my strategic training had taught me to observe everything.

"She's stable," the healer announced, helping Violeta sit up. "But there's something else."

The dining hall fell silent.

"Violeta is pregnant," he declared, his voice carrying to every corner of the room. "She's carrying the Alpha's heir."

The room erupted in cheers and howls of celebration. I remained frozen, my mind racing through the implications. The timeline didn't add up—Rhett and I had been together every night except...

"Isn't it wonderful?" Violeta whispered, her voice weak but her eyes bright with victory.

Rhett lifted her into his arms, his face alight with joy. "My heir," he murmured, pressing his lips to her forehead.

I stood apart from the celebration, watching as my seven years of sacrifice crumbled before my eyes.

## The Aura Accusation

Three days later, the pack gathered in the Great Hall for Violeta's official recognition as the mother of the Alpha's heir. I stood rigidly at the edge of the circle, my face a careful mask despite the hollow ache in my chest.

Violeta sat in a cushioned chair, her hand resting on her still-flat stomach. "I'm so grateful for your support," she said softly. "But I'm concerned about the pup's health."

Rhett knelt beside her chair. "What's wrong?"

"The stress," she whispered, her eyes finding mine across the room. "Every time Parker is near me, her Alpha aura presses down like a weight."

A collective gasp rippled through the pack.

"My aura?" I stepped forward, disbelief coloring my voice.

"Her Alpha presence is too strong," Violeta continued, tears welling in her eyes. "I feel it pushing against me, threatening our baby."

Beta Crawford stepped forward. "The healer confirmed it. Parker's dominant aura is causing the mother stress, which endangers the pup."

"That's ridiculous," I protested, looking to Rhett for support. "My aura has never harmed anyone."

But Rhett wasn't looking at me. His attention was fixed on Violeta, who had begun to weep softly.

"Please," she begged, clutching Rhett's hand. "Make her stop oppressing me. I can't protect our baby from her dominance."

The pack turned to stare at me with newfound hostility. I felt their collective judgment—their Alpha's chosen mate threatening their future heir.

"Rhett," I said quietly, "you know this isn't possible. My aura can't harm an unborn pup."

He rose slowly to his feet, his expression cold and unfamiliar. "The pack believes it is possible. And I believe the pack."

## The Forced Submission

The Great Hall fell silent as Rhett approached me. I could feel the weight of every gaze in the room.

"Kneel," he commanded, his voice carrying the full force of an Alpha Command.

I stood my ground, though the pressure of his command made my knees tremble. "Rhett, don't do this."

"KNEEL!" His Alpha tone crashed against me like a physical blow.

My body betrayed me. Despite my Alpha bloodline, I couldn't resist the direct command of an Alpha I'd helped create. I dropped to my knees before him, before the entire pack.

"Submit," he ordered, his eyes flashing gold with power.

The word burned in my throat. "No."

His hand gripped my chin, forcing me to look up at him. "You will submit, or you will leave this pack. Choose now."

The pack watched in stunned silence as their Alpha forced me—the woman who had built this pack from nothing—to submit before them all.

"Submit," I finally whispered, the word tearing from my throat.

Something inside me shattered as I felt my Alpha aura being crushed under the weight of his command. It was a violation beyond physical pain—a suppression of my very essence.

As I knelt there, humiliated before the pack I'd sacrificed everything for, I caught Violeta's satisfied smile from behind Rhett's shoulder.

In that moment, I knew with absolute certainty that there was no pup—only a carefully orchestrated plot to destroy me.

I pulled my cloak tighter around my shoulders as I made my way back toward the pack house, my footsteps silent on the damp earth. Three years of betrayal had taught me to move like a ghost through my own territory, to be present yet invisible. Something caught my attention—a weak whimper coming from the edge of our borders. I paused, my senses heightening as I scanned the darkness. There, beneath a gnarled oak tree, lay a tiny bundle of darkness. I approached cautiously, my heart tightening as I realized what it was. A wolf pup, abandoned and barely breathing, his small body trembling with each shallow breath. His coat was unlike any I'd seen before—pure black with intricate silver markings that seemed to shimmer even in the moonlight.
