Chapter 8

Married To The Arrogant Star Episode 8 By: peachlips Liana's POV: I sit next to mum in the front seat as she drives into the... Oh my God! This is paradise! She drives into the black gate which has so many security personnel around and we enter the Winthorpe mansion. Oh, my gee! This is more than a mansion,It's incredible. No wonder the Blackwell mansion has been the talk of the city. The party which is a beanfeast is taking place outside and mum and I alight from the car after she parks in the lot. I almost open my mouth in bemusement as I look around the mansion, Just the outside looks this grand, I can only imagine how the inside must be, Wow! "Matilda!" a woman calls mum's name and scuttles toward us as we approach the party. Oh! It's Ethan's mum. "Becky!" Mum calls back and they hug each other warmly. Wow! Ethan's mum looks so beautiful. "I'm glad you could make it," she says and turns her eyes to me. "Oh my! Is this Liana?" "Good evening, ma'am," I greet with a light smile. "Oh, dearie! How are you? She's so beautiful." "I'm fine ma'am. Thanks." "Okay Matilda. Come on my husband's been waiting for you." "Oh! Of course," Mum replies and turns to me. "Just make yourself comfortable okay? I'll join you soon," she says and I nod as she leaves with Ethan's mum. Hold on... what discussion does she have with them? I look around and start sauntering into the party. I don't even know anyone here, I can't believe Mum left me all alone. The party is buzzing with life as lots of people fill the place most of whom are average men and women. I walk to a table that's empty and take a seat, There are already drinks on the table and I take a glass of wine for myself. By the way where's the celebrant? Shouldn't he be around or something? My phone starts ringing and I bring it out from my bag, discovering it's Nicole. "Hey Bestie!" she says as soon as I pick up. Luckily the sound of the music from the party isn't too high. "Hey," I reply softly sounding tired. "Oh, my God! You're at the party already right? Have you seen Ethan?" she asks excitedly and I scoff. "No ma," I reply itching the back of my neck. "Awwn Why? Anyway don't forget to take pictures okay? Bye!" she quickly says and ends the call. Gosh! This girl's really crazy. I sigh and sip my wine again What a boring party. Well I guess it's because I don't have anyone to talk to. I look around and my eyes meet a group of boys talking and staring at me. Whatever. By the way where could Ethan's step-siblings be? Oh! Maybe they didn't care to attend the party since they're not on good terms. Or maybe they're here I don't even know them. I take my phone and start playing games, A waitress passes by with chocolates and cupcakes and I take some from her. I eat with relish and continue playing with my phone. After a while I feel pressed and need to use the restroom. I stand with my bag and look around. How do I even get to the restroom? Where should I go? I stop one of the waitresses and ask, "Please how do I get to the restroom?" "Um... you can go that way," she says pointing to a separate building from the mansion. I thank her and follow her lead but when I reach the entrance I see some guards standing there. I try to go in but they stop me. "Sorry ma'am but you can't go in for now," one of them says and I flinch. "Huh?" "Why?" I ask surprised. "You can if you wait a little longer," another replies making me more confused. Okay... what's going on? Why are they stopping me from going in? "B... But I'm so pressed right now, Can you find me an alternative?" I grumble. Immediately someone I know comes up. "Hey Liana," he calls surprised. He's a friend of my mum. "Good evening sir," I greet with a perfunctory smile. Gosh! I really need to wee. "Good evening dear. How're you doing? Uh... what's going on?" he asks and I don't even know which to reply to first. "I'm trying to use the restroom but they're not letting me in," I say with a pained look. He looks at the security. "Why's that? Is something wrong?" he asks. "SirEthan's in there, and he instructed us not to let anyone in," one of the grumpy men replies. Wait... hold on... Did I just hear correctly? Ethan's in the restroom??? "Oh!" he mouths and pauses. "Well she can still make use of it. It isn't like she's gonna bump into the room he's using or something. Just be careful Liana okay?" W... What? I... I don't think I can go in. "He had gone left. So, I think you should go right," one of the guards says, looking at me. Oh, my God! They're really letting me in. I'm tempted to say I'll wait, but I'm so pressed and need to wee. "What do I do?" "Come on Liana. Or do you wanna wait?" Mum's friend asks and I look at him speechless. Then I shake my head and start walking in. Oh God! I suddenly feel so nervous. Ethan's in here? What if he sees me? Like... we get to meet or something? I keep counting my steps as I walk into the big room, which looks like a sitting room, and then I reach a passage with a partition. Hold on... which way did the guard ask me to go again? Oh God! I've forgotten. I look left and right and take the left passage. I walk steadily looking at the different rooms that line it. I try opening the first one but it's locked. I go over to the second one still locked. Then I get to the third one and notice it's open. But just when I'm about to enter I suddenly hear strange voices from the fourth room. Huh? What's going on there? I leave the third door and walk silently to the fourth. The voices become clear. Is someone in? Wait! Could this be the passage Ethan had taken? I place my ear on the door and... Oh, my God!!! What the hell? They're... they're moans... sexual moans. I can clearly hear the lady's voice: "Oh, Ethan... Yes... F**k me harder... Oh, yeah... Ethan... Oh..." I gasp and furrow my brows in surprise. Oh my God! Is this for real? I shake my head and place my ear on the door again. I can only hear the lady's voice. Ethan isn't even moaning. Oh my! Is he really there? So the rumors are true? He's really a flirt? I sigh and stare at the door. This is so unbelievable. I can't believe Ethan's actually making out with a lady in the restroom. I shake my head in bewilderment and go over to the next door which is a bit far from Ethan's. I enter and quickly sit on the seat realizing all the liquid... Gosh! This feels so good. I place my chin on my palm and reminisce about what I just heard. It's still shocking to me. That's the first time I've been that close to people making out and I just can't believe it. So... the almighty Ethan is having a good time with a lady in the restroom? No wonder he told the guards not to let anyone in. Geez! I can't wait to tell Nicole about this. I wonder who that lady is. She must feel like the luckiest girl on earth right now. How dumb! After spending a long time on the toilet seat cogitating I stand and look around for some water but can't find any. I use the one connected to the toilet to flush. Then I go out of the room and decide to look around for the washbasin. I need to wash my hands. I glance at Ethan's room and wonder if they're still in there. I don't check but just go ahead to look for the washbasin. Luckily I find one around the corner. I put my bag on the table and turn on the water. There's a big mirror in front of it and as I wash my hands I look at myself in the mirror and stupidly smile. Crazy. I look down at the water and am about to turn it off when a thin light shimmers past me from the mirror. What light is that? It seems to be reflections from jewelry. I lift my head to the mirror and I swear for the first time in my life I feel my heart skip. Whaaaaaaat? E... E.. E... Ethan?? Whaaaaat? I quickly turn in a flash and find him standing and staring at me from a distance. He's leaning against the wall. His dark eyes bore into mine, and that's when I realize the light I saw is from the pure gold jewelry he's wearing. Oh, my God! My throat suddenly goes dry. Why am I this nervous? I'm... I'm standing in front of Ethan Winthorp! For real? I'm so speechless and don't even know what to say or do how to move or stand? "What're you doing here?" he finally asks in a cold voice staring vacantly. "I thought I ordered the guards not to let anyone in?" TBC.

The Fallen Heiress's Debt to the Billionaire
9.4
I was once the princess of the Upper East Side, but now I’m just "debt wrapped in pretty skin." To keep my father alive in a federal penitentiary, I signed a contract I didn't fully understand. I thought it was about restoring my family's name, but producer Barnett Orr treated it like a bill of sale for my soul. Inside his limousine, the air smelled like gasoline and fear. Barnett didn't want a star; he wanted a victim. He bruised my jaw and ripped my vintage silk gown to shreds, laughing because he knew I couldn't fight back without signing my father's death warrant. "Don't forget who owns you, Felicity," he whispered. When he dragged me into Dewitt Knight’s penthouse party, I was a walking disaster. I huddled in Barnett’s oversized jacket, my lip bleeding and my spirit shattered. The elite crowd didn't see a victim; they saw a fallen girl selling herself for a role. A former rival poured red wine over me, and the room erupted in cruel laughter while Barnett told everyone he was just "testing my commitment." I looked up at the balcony, locking eyes with Dewitt Knight. He was a god in a bespoke suit, looking down at me with cold, lethal disgust. He didn't see the bruises or the desperation. He only saw a transaction he found beneath him. "So the rumors are true," he said, his voice cutting through the music. "The Aguilars really will do anything for money now. Even this." I was trapped between a monster who wanted to break me and a man who thought I was trash. No one cared that my father's life depended on my silence. When Barnett cornered me in a guest room later that night, his belt jingling like a death knell, I realized no one was coming to save a girl like me. I fought back with a crystal vase, shattering it against his shoulder, but I was drowning in my own terror. Just as Barnett lunged for my throat, the door was kicked off its hinges. Dewitt stood there, finally seeing the blood on the carpet and the map of purple bruises on my bare back. He chased the monster away, but I didn't feel safe. I locked the guest room door, wedged a chair under the handle, and slept with a silver letter opener pressed against my skin. When I crept into the kitchen at midnight and found him waiting in the shadows, I aimed the blade at his heart. "In this house, no one hurts you," he promised, his voice a low velvet rumble. But in a world where I had already been sold once, I knew that even protection came with a price I couldn't afford to pay.
