Chapter 1

Car horns blared, the rain drizzled in small drops and people rushed to get home and drink a nice hot coffee lying in their warn quilt.

A woman walked through the pedestrian lane, her black outfit matching the night, her steps powerful and confident.

This was her kingdom and no one dares challenge her.

She walked a few steps till she stopped at a car packed by the road, she knocked on the window the car back door opened and she went in.

"I am here" she announced closing the door.

"Let's begin" she had turned to to her left where a man was seated, his hands cuffed and face closed, his body trembled obviously not from the cold.

The woman shifted closer to him and took the cloth up which was covering the man's face.

The man's eyes met hers he shifted farther away from the seat mumbling incoherently.

"Oh poor you" the woman remarked, a dark glint in her eyes as she inched closer to the man and took off the tape covering his mouth.

"Please Queen, I didn't do it, I swear. Please spare me !!" was what came out of the man's mouth immediately the tape was removed.

"Loud, you are so loud, of course I know you didn't do it but you have to die, that is your fate" she said.

"Please !, please !, spare me, Queen" Queen ignored his pleas, she re-taped his mouth and pulled the cloth over his head and then reached for something inside her coat.

Lightening flash at the thing illuminating it's metal surface and reflecting its power and weight.

"Good bye dear" the words came out of the woman before she took the shot, firing repeatedly at the man sitting beside her.

A smile crept into her face as she inspected her handwork feeling proud and satisfied.

She ran her hands on the blood spattered all over the car feeling the wetness.

Just then, the driver who has been at the front seat started the car and drove off.

The woman continued running her hands on the blood spattered everywhere as the car sped away.

When the car reached a bridge it stopped, the woman came out with the driver.

"Do it now" she ordered the driver who pressed the remote he was holding.

The car started automatically and drove slowly through the bridge.

"Ma, I think we should leave the car" the driver suggested.

The woman shot him a glare and he apologized immediately and shifted away from her.

Good for him, who know what she might do to him if she wants to.

The car continued moving slowly till it reached the middle of the bridge and then without warning, increased it speed crashing into the rails and falling into the water.

A loud splash echoed through the air as the car hit the water.

"Let's go" Queen said and then started walking from the bridge followed by the driver.

She took her phone from her pocket and sent a text message to someone, five minutes later cars started coming from ahead towards the bridge.

The driver opened his mouth wide in wonder, "so Queen blocked the road?" He thought.

When they had been driving to the bridge, no car had been coming from their back.

He didn't think much about it thinking that the rain was the reason why there was no car.

As they continued walking, the first car approaching them stopped when it reached him.

Queen walked towards the car, opened the back seat and sat down.

The driver followed her and entered the front seat with the driver of the car.

"Drive like your life is at stake, Phil" she ordered.

"Yes Queen" the driver replied and turned the car on speeding away.

Queen closed her eyes recalling the events that had just happened minutes ago.

"Shoot, I should have used a knife, it would have been a wonderful" she thought as a sinister smile crept into her immaculate beautiful face.

"You should remind her that it is already late, she needs to rest" a woman said to her colleague, concern evident in her face.

Her brown eyes fixated at the door they were standing, she was having an inner fight with herself whether to knock since the other woman couldn't do it.

"She said do not disturb, Clara, so let's not disturb her. I am sure that she will come out soon" the other woman said blocking Clara so that she wouldn't knock.

"But it has been three hours now and I really wanna go home !" Clara snapped.

"He is home right?"

"Of course he is home Ivy, I wanna be with him now" Clara confessed, her eyes sparking.

"Oh, so you are lovesick?. I think that explains your snappy attitude today" Ivy said.

"My snappy attitude was because of Mark, he has been.."

Clara trailed off when the door opened and a woman came over clutching a sweater over herself.

Her face was as white as snow, her pitch black hair looked so silky and her blue eyes seemed to be emanating a blue light.

"Ma'am" the two woman went closer to her and held her hands.

"You are cold" Ivy remarked.

"I slept off without shutting the AC" the woman replied, pouting her lips.

"I have told you to call me whenever you want to sleep. Anyway let's go home, I will prepare a hot food for you" she said.

"Thanks Ivy" the woman muttered as they led her through the hallway heading towards the elevator.

"Sorry for keeping both of you waiting" she apologized.

"It is fine, Leila, we thought that you were overworking again which made us worried" Clara said.

"But it is a good thing you weren't"

"Yeah it is" Lelia agreed.

"Hypocrite !!, you weren't worried about her. You wanted to just go home and meet your boyfriend" Ivy commented sticking her tongue at Clara who glared at her.

"You guys are so funny" Leila said amidst laughter.

They entered the elevator and pressed the down floor button, it went down and stopped.

The three ladies stepped out of the elevator and walked towards the door leading outside when someone came through the door and smiled at them.

Leila's eyes almost bulged out as she couldn't believe who she was seeing.

"Jake?" The name slipped out of her mouth.

"Hi Leila, long time no see" Jake beamed approaching her.

A smile crept into Leila's face as she freed herself from the other women grip and walked closer to the man.

She reached where he was and pulled him in a tight hug.

"I thought you said that you cannot make it tonight?" she whispered into his ear.

"Yeah, but then I decided to make it no matter what because I miss you so much" Jake whispered back.

"Awn, thanks for making it babe" Leila said and then broke the hug.

"See you tomorrow Clara and Ivy"

"You too Leila, goodnight" they chorused and started walking towards the entrance door.

"Lets go babe" she held Jake's hand as she led him to the entrance door.

When they were outside Leila called her driver to drive out her car from the garage.

The outside light was still on illuminating the forecourt as the car was driven out from the garage.

"Is the car you brought to work?" he asked not hiding the disgust in his voice.

Leila looked at the car and then back at him, "what's wrong with the car?, you know that this is my favourite car" she commented.

Jake patted his forehead lightly and sighed, "this car does not suit you, drive your Audi or Porsche. Those ones are better".

"let's go" he took Leila's hand and walked towards the car.

The driver saw them coming and came out and opened the back seat for them.

Lelia got in followed by Jake, they settled into the car and the driver closed the door.

He got into the driver seat and started the car.

"How was the business trip?" Leila asked.

"It was fine, I guess" Jake replied flatly, his eyes gazing out of the window.

"I will talk to Mr Trevor for you if that will work".

"Really?, thank you so much babe. That will help me a lot, at least that deal will be sorted out sooner" he beamed taking her hand to his mouth and kissing it lightly.

Lelia shifted closer to him and buried her head on his shoulder and whispered, " I will do anything to make you happy because I love you so much. Please don't break my heart or betray me".

"I won't babe, even if a gun was aimed on my head to do that" Jake replied as he pats her head.

Leila took her head from his shoulder and slammed her lips on his, their tongues collided creating a desire that threaten to escape.

The car sped away through the road as the couple kept kissing and caressing each other.

Their love was pure and true.
