Chapter 2

Isabella's POV

I had never seen a wedding so cold and shrill in my entire life. I was an orphan, a brown-haired child of circumstances. In one day I had lost my parents to a bloody shootout in Leonardo's mansion so I was tactically an orphan that had no one to invite to my wedding.

And Diego, being a beast in tuxedo wouldn't want any soul to graze the occasion so it was literary an empty sight to behold.

With Diego clutching my hand to his, we stood in the cathedral before a priest I perceived to be his loyalist and surrounded by his ten-man- gang.

Before the altar we confirmed we were entering into a marriage of own free will and without coercion. It was brief and annoying, so annoying that after the exchange of rings, Diego had driven me back to the villa in a convoy of his capos.

Upon arrival, he led me to the exquisite, large bedroom, and with a pistol in hand, he told me through grinning face,

"The rules are simple. Hence forth, you shall call me Don. You have no right whatsoever to disobey my audacity. I own you even your soul is indebted to me forever. In my underworld you don't exist. Stay out of my drugs. You have only two places in this mansion, the kitchen and my bed. In this marriage, there is no room for family or making babies. It is just you and I alone. Am I understood?"

I stood gaping at this monster in human form. I was lost in the gloom of his latter words. Did I just hear him right? No room for family and babies. How? Does it mean we are not going to have children? Did he just blurt or he meant every phrase of it?

"Am I understood?" He snapped when I hesitated, his boot thudding the floor as he stamped his foot.

I flinched a million times, "Ye – ye - yes my love."

I stuttered heavily, trembling within myself.

His stern and calculative face warned me, and I quickly corrected, "Sorry, my don."

He forced an evil smile, and held my sweating face, come on don't be scared, wife of the don is a steeled-heart bitch. I will give you grace to master it like it is your first day in an English class."

He was yet speaking when his phone rang and he quickly reached to it, and a voice reported an issue to him before he hung up.

"I will be with my soldiers," he groaned, grabbed my helpless face, and dug his hand under my wedding gown to locate my lingerie which he pulled with a witty smile on his face. I widened my leg for him to pull out effortlessly.

I thought he was about getting me laid. It was our first night in marriage. I expected to get intimate with him but here he was sounding indifferent.

"I will be with my soldiers. By the time I am back I want to meet you wet and naked in bed. Finger yourself. I guess you know what I mean."

Feeling like to protest, I tossed my head. "Yes, don," I concurred and he took off his tuxedo, his pistol flashing at me from his waist, as he left the bedroom.

With my toe on the floor, I followed him silently to the garage where his soldiers, capo, and underboss were gathered around some bags on the table.

He paused once he got in and they bowed hailing him, "The don!" His dark eyes combed around, noticing one of them wasn't present.

"Where is Capo 1?" his groaned casting an evil furious eye at them and one of them told him the capo was away to celebrate his daughter's birthday.

"Daughter's birthday?" he retorted, grinned heavily. "Doesn't he know the rules? As soon as you get his ass, bring him to my corner tonight." They bowed in agreement and began to open the bags to unveil white bags of drugs.

One of them opened the bag and took a pinch from it and he tasted and tossed his head, "This is great. You must go now. Our associates await at the border. The roads are clear. Make no mistakes. I am in my honeymoon. I don't need distractions except you fetch me Capo 1."

"As the don pleases!"

They bowed and dispersed.

Soon he found himself in the bedroom, his dirty eyes staring at my nakedness with caution and longing. The bed creaked under his weight as he began to strip off his shirt to reveal those indescribable tattoos.

He leaned and peered between my legs, "You are naked but not wet. Didn't you finger yourself. No one disobeys me."

"I...I am sorry, honey...sorry don," I shivered, wondering what would be my punishment for erring. "I am still a virgin. I am still scared."

"What rubbish!" he barked and didn't make me feel like a woman. My lean legs were like feathers in his firm hold as he spread my legs, and pushed in between my legs, his face grinning, jaw clenching as he pounded harder.

I bit my lower lip in exaggerated misery, my fingers dragging the bed spread as he push all of his weight into my vagina. My urge to scream ended in gaping and silence. He didn't care to last in bed. Soon his body began to tremble.

I felt his groin bulging in me and I knew he was about to ejaculate. I felt a bit excited but hell no he disappointed me by pulling out of me and ejaculated in the bed.

"Hmmm, feels good," he gasped and breathed hard, "This... this is what I mean by no room for babies in this marriage." He snorted and shut his eyes to get some relief. "You are juicy anyway."

Tears trickled down my cheeks as I lay helplessly.

Immediately he tied up his towel, a knock came on the door, and the baritone voice told him there were back with Capo 1. He told him to keep him in the garage, and he would be with them soon.

"I need to punish a rebellious soul. I will be back." He stroked my breasts, and left like shadow.

As usual I tiptoed again to the garage and peeped at a young man, sweating and all tied to a chair.

"Capo 1, Capo 1," he groaned once he stepped towards him, his soldiers staring with their guns held firmly. "Where were you when the capos brought the consignments?"

"Please, please, my don, forgive me," he wailed, his sweating face seeking a second chance. "My daughter has been nagging for the countless times I missed her birthday. I had to make it up to her this time. Please forgive..."

"Keep shut, rotten maggot! You know the rules. Families don't exist in this underworld. It is better not to have babies than perish because of them. I warned you."

"Please, my don, please..."

While he was yet begging, he stretched out his hand and one of his capos pulled out a sharp, sword and handed over to him. In a jiffy, the victim's voice couldn't be heard again; blood had littered the entire place and the faces staring.

Diego had sent his first blow and the victim's bloodied head was lying on the floor.

"No one disobeys the don," he groaned.

"As the don pleases," they concurred, and bowed.

"Cut his corpse in parts, wrap and bury, send news to his family he is missing. No mistakes."

"As the don pleases."

Till this moment, I was still shivering within my spine. I almost peed on myself.
